The hotel staff was very competent and welcoming. I arrived after the wine reception but the front desk gave me a coupon for the wine at the bar, which was actually better because I also had a very nice dinner there.

I reserved to say 7 nights and checked out after 1 night. Your policy to place a @$100.00/day incidental charge is outrageous. This has never happened to me with any other hotel that I have stayed at.....and I traveled a great deal of time while I was working, and travel for leisure too. I was not received very well by your staff, as they were short when I asked about this incidental charge......no where in the reservation process nor my confirmation printout was this $100.00/day hold for incidental charges listed. My credit card and debit card were still on hold on Monday and only Ung, of your front desk, helped me willingly to unfreeze my accounts. I therefore found another hotel in the area with better accommodations, better rate, and a very very nice staff. Your 'deluxe king room' was not in any way deluxe or king, it was however a room. You should not describe your rooms with these adjectives, they are very inaccurate. I am advising all of our family and friends to NOT avail themselves of the Kimpton Hotel chain.

The location was excellent. It was in the middle of everything and was extremely convenient to shops, restraurants and buses. The staff was extremely helpful and courtesty. The room was amazing and big. The big was so very comfortable. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and were upgraded to this huge room which was great. I loved this hotel.

Hi, my wife and I really liked your hotel. The location was really great, the people (at all levels) were nice, the rooms were excellent and the food (we had breakfast and the chefs choice for dinner) memorable. We also checked where else you have hotels for our future trips. My wife and I both think a comparative late12 noon checkout time sets you apart from other hotels. We had been away from home for 3 months and San Francisco was our last stop before returning to Melbourne on a 4.45pm flight. Checkout time is a major concern for holiday makers, it just makes it so much easier and less stress on departure. We were also very lucky we did get a good rate through Booking.com Thanks very much George and Diane Peat Only that it is sometimes nice to have coffee/tea making facilities in the room rather than have to go to level 5 (we were on level 9).

I enjoyed the comfort of the bed. The location was ideal. Upon arrival, the room was not very clean. Called the front desk, they sent someone immediately. There was an extra $100. deposit per night, that was never mentioned until we actually checked in, even though the paperwork we had stated that no deposit would be added.

Our hotel room was very clean, quiet, and updated. It had everything we wanted except a great view. Our 8th floor view was of the building next door - not the best but not a problem since we were gone most of each day of our stay. The room was very comfortable. Definitely loved the location - this hotel is located in the heart of San Francisco. It is very easy to get anywhere in downtown. It is less than a block away from the bart station. It is very near the Cable Car turnaround. My wife and I will consider staying here again on our next visit to sf.

Good location and clean room. The first night I was given a room directly across from the restaurant on the 5th floor which was obviously designed for handicapped access (I'm not handicapped and did not ask for it). I suspect the reason for the lousy room could have been the cheap rate. In any event, I complained about the noise and they moved me with no hassles the next day to a room on a different floor. Overall, the staff was very friendly and accomodating.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Location right next to shops. Complimentary coffee and wine in the lounge very nice. Rooms reasonable spacious. Nice bathrobes. Would prefer coffee makers in the room. Also, would prefer two queens instead of 2 doubles but that didn't seem to be an option. Room faces busy street so could be noisy if you are very light sleeper. I turned on fan to provide white noise and then slept fine.

The Hotel staff were on the ball. Always in good spirits and ready to offer advice and information. Upgraded our room to accomodate our request for more natural light. Preference for a firmer bed. In the hotels defense since we were only there for two days I did not request a change. They probably would have offered us another room.

Well-located for Union Square and Moscone Convention Center. Nicely appointed with beautiful art. Reasonably priced via the offer through Booking.com. Staff very friendly, liked the pet host, Maverick. Appreciate the morning coffee and evening wine. Thanks for free wireless internet (very important!!!!) The hotel restaurant was too high-end for our budget; we went to Annabelle's Bistro & Bar and liked it a lot.

The best thing about the Palomar is it's perfect location at 4th & Market, right next to the Powell St. BART station. It's a good hotel with competative prices so that alone is reason to stay. The hotel is nice but in a very generic way. Our room facing Market St was small but nice, with a decent view. Our friends were given a family room (the kids extension room to another, it seemed) which faced a wall with a business offices lining the entire view. The room was huge with empty open space (presumably for kid's play, cribs, etc). Wasn't very stylish or chic as we expected.

I was not overly impressed. I came to San Fran to do the Avon Cancer Walk and wanted to spend 2 nights in the city...in the end I stayed only one night as I found it so hard to find a reasonable hotel to stay in as everything was booked up...supposedly there was a convention in town. I paid over $500 for one night too expensive and no way near the star rating you would expect...so I stayed out of necessity and was not blown away by my stay. It was in a good location close to major stores and a shopping mall but the streets around the hotel did not make me feel safe at night as their were many street people around and so I stayed in my hotel room and did not venture out at night.

We came to the Palomar for a Mother/Daughter shopping weekend and found that the hotel was great for us. It was close to Bart and all the good shopping. The Fifth Floor was so convenient and delicious too. Their Foie Gras was as close to France as I've had in the US. The room was clean. One of the best things they offered us was that we were able to leave our luggage there after check-in. Plus when we came a little early, they had a room ready. All in all, a great experience. See you next time, Linda O'Hara Guess they could update the robes in the rooms.
