Free wine at the front
Beds are not that comfortable
We were warmly greeted upon our arrival. Once in our room we were enveloped in calm and comfort.
Close to everything
Rundown. Smaller than other kimptons. Not worth the money.
Staff were great.
There's a lot of homeless and panhandling to be aware of.
We enjoyed all the nice staff. The room was big and the beds were both comfortable. Free coffee/tea in the morning and free wine tasting in the afternoon was a plus. The dog at the reception was unfortunately sick (hope he has recovered now), but instead we got a little puppydog, and we had a beautiful gold fish brought to us. Free bikes were possible, but advice you to book it in advance. Palomar hotel is situated near Union square, which makes it very central.
Central location Interior decor erm ....
No reception so no welcome. Expensive Expensive Parking Gave us the wrong rooms and made no effort to rectify
location House keeping friendly staff
Executive room size WC door relatively Expensive No lobby
Location was good and parking easy. Room was comfortable and we'll maintained. Staff very friendly and helpful.
I booked a month early for a romantic night out with my girlfriend. A key element of the room I booked was a large soaker tub. When we arrived, none of these rooms were available so they down graded me and refunded me the price difference +$100. I appreciate the effort to compensate me but I would rather have had the room I originally booked. Lobby is small with no real lounge area. They don't have room service dining. Overall nice place to sleep but not a cool hangout or place for a romantic getaway.
nice staff, very clean room, and excellent location
fitness room is too small
The Palomar was a wonderful place to stay. The rooms were nicely appointed and large enough for two people to be comfortable. The staff was very friendly. The lobby morning coffee and evening wine was a real plus.
There was nothing about the hotel that I did not like. However the neighborhood is very bustling and crowded which is not the fault of the hotel.
The restaurant is awesome liked the cocktails and outdoor patio Wifi allows 3 devices Free coffee in lobby each morning
Room was just ok and doesn't align with the price AC was not very effective Bathtub was clogged
My boyfriend and I decided that we wanted to get away for the night, we live here In sf so we took our dog Cody with us. The Bell man remembered our dogs name which meant a lot. Excellent service will make it a monthly trip :)
The staff was exceptionally friendly! Our room was spacious for the three of us.
The bathrooms so close to the beds! Flip those around!
The Hotel was undergoing renovations and refurbishments which were incomplete at the time of our stay but the price for the property reflected that these upgrades and refurbishments were in place to for us to enjoy, as did their website. That was not the case therefore the stay was way over priced and not up to the Kimpton standards. Very disappointed, especially for a Kimpton property. They did reply to my concerns by telling me when all the refurbishments will be finished in the near future, but that does little for our experience. Nothing has been offered in compensation except an apology for an unexpected and unsatisfactory stay for the price.
Close to the stores. Tasty breakfast. Good music in the bar during the evening. Very friendly staff. Wifi is not free, but if you register as a Kimpton member you get free access.
I didn't find a room service menu in my room.
From check-in to room arrival, we loved every moment. Richard the bellman explain ed the room layout and anticipated alluring needs. Clayton sensed my frustration with another problem earlier in the day and made it better with a simple kind gesture. You don't teach that, it's an innate skill. And invaluable in these days.
That same talent that your front desk has is completely lost in your Restaurant and bar. The hostess, waitress and bartender are all rude and never smile. If they knew as much about Hospitality as they did F&B, your hotel would be complete. And please don't justify how busy your bar is with how good it could be if you made those improvements.
I liked the interior of the hotel and the classy uniform of the hotel staffs. Free coffee in the morning and free wine Tuesday afternoon (though we were not back in time to enough the wine) at lobby. Staffs are friendly and helpful.
Our room was facing the Market Street, and there was a big construction site just cross the street. It was pretty noisy during the night time.
Excellent staff except housekeeping staff.
Bad housekeeping management, inconsistent.
All employees very helpful and professional
portion size of octopus at bad habit! so good I could eat 10 of them.
The staff were friendly and accomadating enjoyed our stay very much....
Very convenient location
A lot of rooms overlook the restaurant / lounge area, which gets noisy in the evening. Rooms on the fifth floor are to be avoided as many of them are close to the restaurant or face the lounge area, which affects the comfort and privacy.
Large, comfy room. Good staff.
No room service at dinner
Location Very clean
Waiting time for elevator is a little bit too long
