Lack of coffee making facilities. Breakfast seemed very expensive.
Great location. Responsive service.
No free wifi.
Great location, great rooms, Urbana restaurant excellent but make reservations. Supermarket and coffee/bagel store right across the street.
As a Kimpton member I like the variety and exceptional quality of the different hotels.
Our bathroom door didn't close! It looked like the bottom of door had swelled due to water damage. I told the front desk and nothing could be done. They took off one of our breakfast charges! :(
The location is awesome. Close to the metro center in DuPont Circle. We enjoyed walking around the area looking at the Embassies and the homes.
My BFF and I had a blast at this hotel. It was very convenient to nightlife and restaurants. We had a great time.
I asked for a quiet room. We placed on the third floor right next to unloading trucks in the back. Although close to the end of the hall, we were next to neighbors who stayed up until 3AM yellling at each other through very thin wallls. The duvet, bed skirt carpet edges were not clean. Only one chair beside the lying down lounge chair. The lights had different color led bulbs (blue or warm) which was disconcerting. The alarm clock light was way too bright. No choice of pillows. The lobby should reflect better the quality of the hotel--fresh flowers, luxurious carpets?
Staff, location, wine and cheese, large room. So much going for the hotel except for noise and small things that make a difference.
Great room , great location they really made us feel welcome
I called ahead and still waited almost an hour for my car to come form the valet! I spent $100 for 2 nights of parking and waited, waited, waited. I imagine their front desk person forgot to tell the valet people, I told the front desker my valet # and said I'd be there in 15 minutes and they said perfect. Ugh
The beds were comfortable
Location and comfort, amenities and value for money.
The location on Dupont Circle is great, easy to get to all the sights by walking or Metro
Happy hour and all the dogs- room was big!
The television wasn't the best but in all fairness, we did not inform the hotel about it. I was unaware of the $100 PER NIGHT "security deposit" for the room. It has always been $100 for the length of the stay. We travel on a budget so this could have been a major problem. Other than that, loved it.
The staff was very friendly, the hotel was clean and the location was perfect for us.
I think it should provide more information on the DC travelling. I do not think the room comes with breakfast, however, it would be nice if they can mention/ remind me were to have breakfast during my check in. It would be nice, if there is promotion when we dine in. I am a big breakfast eater, and i like to dine in the hotel. So I think it is only fair if the hotel provide special promotion for stay-in hotel customers.
I like about the modern set up of the room. location is absolutely wonderful, and free cocktail for the peopel who are staying in the hotel.
The fitness center was very warm. Many of the other guests said the same thing and we could not figure out how to alleviate the issue.
The hotel staff was really helpful and gave great advice. The restaurant they suggested was delicious. They were very eager to please their guests. I used the yoga mat and videos, and thought the videos for yoga and pilates were excellent.
Paid wi fi Parking is expensive
I think for this money WiFi should be free:-)
We stayed in the Queen Deluxe Room and it was pretty small. I think if they didn't have such bulky furniture, it could open up the space a bit more.
The ambiance of the hotel was great as well as the location. We also enjoyed the free wine hour!
Parking was very expensive. On top of fee you have to pay tax. It came out to $53 per night
Friendly staff and nice room. They upgraded me since we had a baby and requested a crib which was placed on our room prior to arrival.
Was there on business in February and used room service quite frequently for convenience. Definitely soup weather, but only one bloody soup (butternut squash) was ever offered. Really?? Winter and only ONE soup offering? Ok, keep the butternut soup as a house soup, but then add a soup du jour.
Friendly, outgoing and professional staff, especially front desk team. Location was perfect as I was taking classes from GWU and was only a short walk. Nice touch with the wine hour in the afternoon, but would recommend adding a variety of hor d'ourves.
The Location of the hotel and how close it was to the Metro. The very comfortable beds and The Happy Hour is great...!!!
What we liked the most, besides the excellent condition of the hotel and the professionalism of the staff, was the dish of dog treats inside the front door. There are a lot of symbols for "welcome," but that was the most genuine we could imagine.
Small bathroom. Onsite restaurant Urbana only had brunch offerings on Saturday/Sunday, no regular breakfast options. Pasta at 8am?
Terrific location, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable bed (and robe). Onsite restaurant Urbana opens early and closes late.
Big room with 2 double beds, fancy bathsuits, complimentary wifi food and drinks, great location close to nice restaurants (world cuisine) and bars and walking distance to the mall, friendly staff, quick check-out, nice breakfast buffet
The decor has about another year or two till it needs carpets, paint... well worn and well cared but it will need attention.
Typically wonderful Kimptom staff; free WiFi for members (that's free too); very nice room, bath; quiet and restful room in a lively property with a very, very good restaurant
