This property (#8917 Candy Palm) is very well kitted out, very clean and close to the main community centre and pool. It's an excellent base to visit the parks from but also allows the family to escape and relax at the end of the day. We visited during UK October half-term and the traffic on Highway 192 was negligible and the I4 only got busy during rush hours but always kept moving. The dipping pool in the property was beautifully warm and private.
You have to pickup your property and community centre key codes from a locker in a nearby supermarket mall. Don't see why this can't be emailed to you a few days before your arrival. Most of the properties in this complex/community are terraced properties, so only South facing rooms are bright during day. The WiFi wasn't that fast but functional.
The rooms are great and have good closets. The house has washer and dryer as well, which is a plus. Amusement parks are 20 mins from the resort. I totally recommend this place.
They gave us just a little soap for each bathroom, therefore you need to bring soap, shampoo and all personal care products you would need. I think this products are not included in the deal since is a rented house.
We really liked the private pool and space for our entire family to relax! There were plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms for us making it feel like home! We really enjoyed how close we were to restaurants and shopping also!!
We didn't like how there weren't any washcloths or hand towels. There wasn't any dish soap, extra paper towels, trash bags (because you have to have the trash emptied before you check out) and toilet paper. We had to find a store to purchase all of these things. We didn't call the office to have them brought to us though so they might have been provided if we asked.
The house we stayed in was big, comfortable and decorated with taste. The amenities of the house and the club house were excellent!
The a/c unit was not enough for a six-bedroom house and all the guests it can accommodate. It was warm, especially during the day.
The newest of unit. The modern furniture. The well equipped kitchen.
The cleaning of unit could have been better.
Overall the resort is a nice place but its not safe
More security to protect families. We are on vacation and should not have to experience crimes in a gated facility...
All basics were provided, loved the washer & dryer (packed less clothes!), pool was great for the grandkids (and the rest of the family). Appliances were up to date, and all worked well. We were targeted more towards Universal Studio, and that was also convenient. The common facilities were terrific, with the larger pool, hot tub, arcade games, Tiki bar, movie theater, sun bathing lounges, et al!! Restaurants and shopping were close by!
Ceiling fans were dirty, and the expression of air conditioning preservation was somewhat hollow with the 1/2 inch open slot at the bottom of the front door!! What good to close the shades when there is open access at the bottom of the door for the coolest air at floor level to easily escape!! We had no air temperature problems though, as the cooling system was sized to overcome the discrepancies!!
We were traveling with 7 in our party. This was like having a home away from home. Our boys each had their own room. We were able to grill and cook in the kitchen. The individual pool was a perk that my boys enjoyed. They do not have supplies for the washing machine or dishwasher but we were aware of this from previous reviews so we purchased them prior to going to the condo.
The home was beautiful and relaxing. It was very clean the way I like it . It remind me of my home. We plan to come back next year. This was and is a great place to stay.
I didn't like the surprise $400 dollar extra deposit I had to pay down. I stayed there last year and rented two homes last year and didn't have to leave a deposit. I understand what it's held for but I think you should put it on the front page of your add so people can see it. That was really a shocker for me. The young lady told me the were under new management. The downstairs light in the bathroom and bedroom did not work. I call and someone came a fixed that the next day. I had to put my 10yr old and 16yr old upstairs with the adults on the floor. I would like to see a list of items on the wall of what that was in the home. I reported the remote and other item missing. We all had to go outside to get services to use our cell phones. When you walk around the house on our cell phone it would drop the call.
I liked the quietness of the resort. I liked the townhouse location we stayed in. It was directly across from the pool and all activities on the resort. I liked the spaciousness of the townhouse.
I didn't like the hair I found on the sheets when I pulled the comforter back in the master bedroom. I didn't like all the loose hair in the master bedroom bathroom tub and floor. The WiFi is poor and the HBO channels didn't work at all.
The facility was great.. perfect for our family and safe friendly environment.
the late check in was bothersome and it would cost $160 to get in any earlier when obviously the house was ready. there was also terrible traffic on hwy 192 due to construction.
The staff at the resort was very friendly.
Legacy travel tours was very unfriendly.they kept on changing the code to the door even though we paid our money. The cleaners were there when we got there which was within the check on time.legacy tours hAd no regard for the fact that we were on vacation.
Booked to check in on a saturday, no info was received about a lockbox to retrieve key. No one checked to make sure an email was received, I even spoke to company about a possible changing of booking to add a room. Called twice about this and was told they would check and call me back about it, no one did. During the 2 conversations representative was told when we were checking in and we were still never told about saturday being a non normal check in day. When I arrived we sat in the parking lot for over 2 hours while booking.com agent tried to reach homeowner. This is after a 13 hour ride with 4 young kids in the car. We were also not happy with how long it was taking booking.com to try to reach homeowner and eventually tried to relocate us to a different booking. After homeowner was finally reached for lockbox code we were able to go to rental. Did not like the fact that rental only had one roll of toilet paper per bathroom for entire week stay. We were given 2 trashbags for a week for 8 people. There were inappropriate paintings in the living room for a family rental unit. The swimming pool was the size of a jacuzzi. Rental only stated private pool. Wifi was also very slow. Was not a very satisfying stay to say the least.
The accommodations were perfect!! It was more than I expected.
large space, excellent tvs, comfortable beds and own pool
Cleanliness could have been a little better
Enough rooms, private swimming pool, nice living and full kitchen. Washing machine and dryer too.
Had to pay for new bbq butine gas container which i only partially used. It better be provided.
We really enjoyed our stay at Paradise Palms there was more than enough room for 8 of us. Everything in the townhome was gorgeous! We will definitely come back!
The only thing I wasn't excited about was we had no washcloths in our townhome so we had to go purchase them. And I would have loved it if we were informed about bringing extra tissue with us and trash bags and other toiletries!
Modern, new, clean villa
Sign in at front desk to access fitness room. Minor fixes: needs larger waste baskets. Shower curtain in upper Master bedroom needs to be replaced due to mildew.
The place and home was beautiful. Everything you could need was there except washclothes that wasn't good. The pool area is excellent. Over all we had a fantastic time.
The way you have to receive all the info and to travel to the place. It was so over welming to us that by the time we got to the place I was beyond stressed out and had more than I could handle. I can't begin to imagine someone traveling from a foreign country having to experience this. Wow.
The location was perfect, I felt like we had our very own little piece of paradise. The grounds were maintained beautifully. The pool and amenities were excellent. I would definitely recommend Paradise Palms Resort.
After arriving after hours and having to get our paperwork and key code from a private agency; it took us over 30 minutes to get into the unit.I would have appreciated a welcome package and clearer instructions on whom to contact with issues. Because the only thing the welcome center can give you is a parking pass and gym access. There were only 4 wash cloths in our four bedroom unit. Some of the kitchen items were missing. We had to go out and purchase some of the items that should have been in the unit. Our unit had a private pool that desperately needed a cleaning and/or shock treatment.
Very comfortable and spacious. Worth the money versus a hotel.
The trash was out for 2 days without being collected.
We enjoyed the area, amenities, comfort of rooms, and inside space
The bad service when problems were encountered. Leaky sink was reported on Sunday when we arrived, sink was not fixed until Wednesday. Water all over the floor and destroyed the kitchen sink. Poor attention to detail on items that may be initially needed. I.E. Toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, wash clothes, towels, ect
Like 99 percent of the facility
My only complaint.was the gym area not big enough
Nothing to complain about
I can't comment much about paradise palms cos upon checking in with the agent, we were told that our unit is no longer available and we had to be moved to another resort 20 mins away. Traveling with two young children, this is probably one of the worst experiences getting forced to switch last minute like this. This review is really for the poor property management of the property. Since we never seen the inside of the actual unit we originally booked, we can't really comment on the quality of the unit.
