Score from 179 reviews Very good
A bit too pricey.
Location. Pool. Beach. Coffee. Bath/Room (premium) Free WiFi, Great tv channels.
Hidden fees, Resort Fee was not disclosed in my reservation. Moreover, they charge for things that normally should be included in a resort, such as the pool and the fitness center
The people were amazing, nice and helpful
They didn't tell me about a $150.00 fee for my dog. Air conditioner and refrigerator made noise all night long!
The property is beautiful
To get the double beds I had to take a room with a parking lot view. The doors to the connecting rooms provided poor sound proofing. The beds were very hard. Pillows were (not the down pillows those were nice) also hard. Not enough drawers.
I was able to get double beds. Rooms were very clean. The grounds were beautiful. Plenty of towels and chaises in the pool areas. Pools and areas were clean. Variety of restaurants and activities on the grounds was good. Food and service was good and at a reasonable price. Room service was prompt and complete.
They tack on almost $100 per day in extra costs like parking and resorts fees when you check out. I went from feeling happy about the trip and the resort to feeling manipulated and angry. I read from other reviewers similar feelings. I don't know why the resort doesn't build those costs into the room rate. It makes the resort look like a shadey operation rather than the professional facility you would expect at $400 a night. In an instant I went from wanting to return again for my children to a complaining never wanting to come back customer. It's bad for their business, I don't know why they do it.
Very few places to stay on sand in Southern Caifornis unless you rent beach house which would be much more money. I feel that the expensiven price you pay is for that (my children loved waking up and running out to the sand and water from the back door) not the room - which is like a 2 star motel room but clean enough. If I had stayed in a garden or interior room for the price they charge I would have felt ripped off. But being on the water was worth it.
The Pizza restaurant was under staffed and it took 1:30 hours to get our pizza but it was delicious and staff was friendly.
Loved everything about our stay.
The front desk staff was unpleasant, we almost walked out.
The resort is very relaxing with tropical feel.
The food and drinks and service were good, but the menu items tending towards the pricey end. The kid menus were very affordable and offered one or two healthy selections.
My family and I loved having access to five pools. It was fun deciding which one we would go to each day. Having fun family stuff to do was also a plus; they have a basketball court, tennis courts and miniature golf.
booking.com was $1400 for my trip, however, cost at check out was $1955, I didn't mind the price as it was worth every penny, but a more accurate cost from booking.com would be better
everything was great, hotel, view, facilities, staff and location
The hotel is rumoured to be up for sale (its on prime real estate land) and the place is generally in need of some renovations and/or touching up. My biggest gripe would be the cost of the facilities ... its one of those places where you have to read the small print if you don't want to get hit by a big surprise when you checkout. Examples include resort fee's NOT included in the room price ($27pn permits you to use their pools and play tennis !). They also charge $30pn for your car even though there are empty spaces outside each room. The bicycle hire was bordering on daylight robbery at $60 per day (plus an additional overnight fee of $24 if you want to keep it until 10am the next day). These aren't expensive, quality bikes either ... you could buy something similar from Walmart for $120 and give it to charity when you finish your holiday. We hired better, newer bicycles for $20 pd on Garnet Avenue and grabbed breakfast whilst we we're there. Another gripe was the cost of all the restaurants ... a simple meal will set you back $40 per head ... the pizza place was good but cost $20+ and you can't eat it on their terrace ... apparently its a 'different' restaurant but i am sure its all owned by the same hotel. We ordered a pizza and picked it up directly (cause they charge you a $7 + tips for room delivery if you don't collect it) then we sat on the beach and ate it. One guy in front of us at the pizza place wanted to order 6x pizzas for his family and sit on the terrace but the staff told him they couldn't eat them outside ... he'd spent over $3000 at the hotel over a long weekend and wasn't too happy about being told where he could eat. WIFI ok but not quite fast enough to stream netflix. Overall we enjoyed our visit but they should drop the hidden/greedy charges as it ultimately just makes you want to buy everything elsewhere.
Location is good if you're visiting Sea World or Pacific Beaches and/or you just want to be away from downtown. We enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of being able to sit on the beach in the evenings or grab a cocktail and watch the sunsets. Staff we're super friendly and helpful.
The bathroom is old and not very clean.
Beach is accessible. Multiple pools.
They'll nickel and dime you with additional changes like resort and parking fees (kinda a hoax since you're staying with them)!
Great resort with awesome amenities and fantastic restaurants!
The barefoot bar needs more bartenders. I waited 15 minutes to get waited on then decided to leave. Also made a reservation at the Tidal restaurant for 8pm and was sitting waiting till 8:15. Was never acknowledged so we left and got a pizza.
Very beautiful place to stay.
- I have kids and the adults pool is not well isolated so that they don't see what's happening there - Expensive charge for parking (better to be free) - charger for use of resort facilities although I'm staying there - Discovered that they charge for using bottled water at time of check-out (although the receptionist was nice enough to cancel this charge) - Breakfast not included
- Location - Leisure facilities - Internet speed - Nice restaurants
Property needs to be kept better, a lot of bird manure and outside looks run down around the rooms
Staff was very kind and helpful. The room was nice on the inside.
The rooms are a bit outdated with loud under window air/heating units that didn't regulate temperature properly. The hot tub at the pool near our room was luke warm..
Location was great. The grounds were maintained well with ample greenery. The staff is really friendly. I recommend renting a bike for an hour and enjoying the outdoors. The family loved it.
Paying for parking on an island outside of the city when there is a dedicated space for each room is a bit off Sports equipment rental could be closer to the courts
Croquet, basketball and tennis were great Located right next to Seaworld
My final bill was quite a bit higher than what was originally quoted due to resort & parking which were not identified at time of booking. After a 5 hour drive with 2 children we were told about the 35. A night parking fee.
We booked a King Size bed (it was Valentines Day!) and called the property to confirm our reservation - which they said was confirmed. When we arrived that evening we were given 2 double beds. Those mattress were AWEFUL! But they moved us to a King room the next night and that bed was much better.
We loved the location to downtown, and the amenities - Pool, Restaurant, Water Sports - all great!
Well one thing I dont like is having to pay extra for parking in front of the unit I'm already paying $ 304.00 a night for. They did give me the choice to park in the lot next to the office and walk in or pay 34.00 per night. Also having to pay extra for WIFI/Health Ctr. I didnt use either of them, had to pay 27.00 per night, no option on that one. Besides that had a great time there. The (2) thing above should already should be included in the price of the Room.
Paridise Point is a great location to visit/stay. All of the Staff were very friendly everything was very clean. Alot of amenitys to rent if wanted to the Bare Foot Bar and Grill had a good Breakfast seating/ looking over Mission Bay.The staff there were very nice/friendly...
Rooms are quite pricey for the standard of rooms
Staff was very friendly
The rooms need an update. We have been going for many years and they are looking tired and dirty especially for the money. The parking and add on costs are too high and the food menu was limited this time. Needs more free facilities for children of all ages.
The views, the location and the atmosphere is good. The staff are generally helpful and happy. Good lunch menu at the Barefoot grill and nice pizzas.
There were fees tacked on for parking and for use of all the facilities that we didn't even use.
It was very family friendly
The ground was very cold!
The embloyees are pretty nice!
The resort can get really busy
