It was a very nice stay. They have a great future ahead of them. We will be back!
The setting was beautiful and the room was spacious.
The restaurant was only open on the weekend.
The room was spacious and everything was clean. Good food. Staff was great.
Location is great.
There was no wi-fi even in a lobby.
The lodge decor is dated but fully functional. It serves its purpose at Rockcastle Shooting resort very well. The setting and views are beautiful. Restaurant is fine, but would recommend El Mazatlan up the road for an alternative. Good value. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
A/C unit was very noisy, but masked the sound of my snoring so my kid could sleep. WiFi worked in our room, but was out due to a storm in much of the rest of the lodge. I probably wouldn't take my family there for a vacation, unless we were participating in a Rockcastle event.
Everything was fine however you need to install lighting by the road to indicate the opening to the resort. Came in, in the dark and was upon it before I knew it.
You go to Park Mammoth for a reason and those reasons are golf or shooting. Sure its a little run down looking but where else can you rent a golf cart and then drive to the range and go shooting? The food is both cheap and excellent.
Located off the beaten path; quiet outside for walking, etc. Coffee in lobby was nice, should've had ice tea and maybe some snacks or fruit since there were no vending machines anywhere? The dining room was very nice, quaint and great view! Also the rocking chairs on porch very nice. When we come back to area, we would like to stay there if things are updated. Amber was very helpful in giving us movie information at Glascow...thanks!
Our room was right at top of stairs?? Very noisy, could've had a different room further down hall. Water was turned off when getting ready for shower and no one informed us? The AC wasn't that good, getting a fan was nice but not as good as adjustable AC. There was no clock in the room or nightlight, just nice to have there. Seemed stingy with towels, and only little bar of soap for 2 adults?
The look and feel of the place and the dining room
No pool for kids and the beds were like sleeping on rocks
Nice, quiet location with a great view. Facilities were dated, so if you are looking for a "cookie cutter" chain hotel, you may be disappointed. Some things may have been somewhat worn, but it was clean.
The restaurant serving staff (all 2 of them) seemed to be inexperienced. The hotel was short on food and beverages due to an recent unexpected large crowd, but was able to cope. Food was average.
Hot water for showers Good breakfast and dinner Good service from desk and kitchen staff
I know its like a hunting cabin but an upgrade in the rooms would be nice for travelers
View and food
Pillows were terrible, quilt torn & dirty as was exhaust fan in bathroom.
The staff The food and the atmosphere
Two couples stayed and all had a spooky, unsettled feeling. Nice big historical hotel, pretty view, but why was there only 7 cars in the parking lot, and only one other couple at dinner in the dining room.
It was very retro but clean. If you want modern don't come here but if you like to go back in time a little you'll love it like we did. One of the owners came by while we were having wine and talked to us. Where else would that happen?
Felt a little rushed by maids to leave. They asked twice from 9am to 10am when we would be leaving.
Good location and very friendly staff. Food was pretty good. Good for the money. Looks like they are in the middle of improving a lot of things. We'll be back.
Have to get ice at the front desk. Poor service at dinner but good every other time.
Nice scenic area.
In need of some remodel. No shampoo or other products provided other than soap.
Great staff and great food.
No pool Play ground is run down Rooms need upgrades
The friendliness of the staff and other customers. Excellent views from our room and the restaurant. The tasty wines in the wine tasting room. The rocking chairs outside. A quaint resort that will get better as renovations continue. Close to the park entrance. Would stay here again.
This is an old resort that needs updating but still has a certain charm to it. No pool or exercise room but just get out and walk! Grounds are a bit scruffy, but the view prevails.
Staff was super friendly! We felt like VIPs! Safety first by our guide on the trap range! Much appreciated when all of us were first timers. Perfect birthday gift for my 14 yr old son! The food was great in the resturaunt , beautiful view, and glad I could bring my Yorkshire terrier! He loved the place too! Close to the caves and bowling green univ. The winery was closed Sunday but will come again to try that too!
Wished the pool was finished Beds were a bit ( squeaky and old). Made my teens laugh anyway!!
Great staff Location was great overlooking the valley on the back side. Be sure to get a room on the back side instead of the front looking at a parking lot. The view was spectacular. I liked that it was off the beaten path instead of the hotels in Cave City with no view at all. It was clean and comfortable.
The staff was nice.
There is no pool...at least not one with water. There were no drinks in the vending machine. There was no ice machine, but I guess not necessary when you can't buy a coke anyway. You can buy a bag of ice though. And, there were an assortment of weapons being fired outside my window until 9 pm. And there is no wifi except in the lounge. All in all, a really bad experience for me.
The price was right. The service was a bit slow at checkin since the front desk lady doubles as the restaurant hostess. The hostess was certainly courteous. The room was old but clean which appears normal for this part of America. There was a wonderful view out the windows.
Insufficient outlets. Fuzzy non hd tv with no cable box or guide. Restaurant menu smeared with food inspired us to go elsewhere for food. Room was certainly adequate but very dated. Carpets worn through in places. No in room internet. Again some of this May be normal for this part of America.
