Location! A variety of activities at hand. Nice entertainment in the bar.

Get rid of the valet parking. It slows me down and costs me money.

Perfect location, great views-love the decor. The two-bedroom suite is spacious.

Wish we could have stayed longer.

The hotel, while an older building, had been recently renovated and what a pleasant surprise with all the character & artistic flair in the room (and even the hallway!) The "wow" factor was definitely there when we opened the door to the King suite. The room was a lovely size, the bathroom huge, with great tilework and an awesome shower. We loved the old-style "photograph" that was actually a window blind above the huge sofa. The sofa bed actually had 2 separate beds, so we could have had more people in there. My friend said the sofa bed was very comfortable too. The kind bed was quite firm, but I slept well every night. The walk-in closet was fabulous. Even though we didn't use the kitchenette for meals, you certainly could have easily done so. It was lovely having the continental breakfast upstairs, included in the price of the room. Fresh fruit, bagels, english muffins, etc. were all very good. On Wed night, we went downstairs to the Inn at the Park's bar/restaurant for an delicious meal and some wonderful, fun, lively entertainment with Andy Anderson & Nathan Fry. Our server, Frank, was fabulous as well. The staff was really great - Richard, the concierge, was very helpful on our first night; and the valets were excellent, attentive, and friendly. I would most definitely recommend this charming hotel for both pleasure and business.

I was surprised that wifi was not available in the rooms, since it had indicated it was on this website. When we checked in, they said "it was coming". It was a bit inconvenient to have to go downstairs to the lobby to access the wifi...although they do provide a really beautiful seating area. The elevator is quite slow. There is only one & it can get busy.

Room are very big and nice, include a kitchen, nice bathroom, walk in closet. Received a warm welcome, good service! Nice building.

Bar and restaurant are very out dated. Breakfast is very bad, nothing fresh on offer and no service. Shame because location on top of the building is nice. Absolutely not in line with the quality and feel of the rooms and reception.

Renovation of art deco building was lovely. I really enjoyed my room and its ambience. Close to the park and all it has to offer.

Restaurant did not have good gluten-free options -- they need to get with the rest. Of the world. Also no fresh fish the night I was there -- this, in San Diego?

The staff were very helpful and friendly and made us feel very welcome for what was the last night of our honeymoon.

The patio room was amazing, the continental breakfast was good, the downstairs restaurant was very good, the rooftop views were nice, the room key came with a map of the area

We stayed in room115 the music from the bar was annoying, we complained they said it would quit at 9:30 to 10 at 11:30 pm I called front desk for earplugs, the music was still going.

Loved location, food, staff, size of rooms.

Could add some down pillows. Also maybe a little color in the hallways.

Stayed at the king studio which was great with a big kitchen and dining area, a big bedroom/living room with a huge sofa and remotely controlled curtains, a big closet and a big bathroom.

Not much of a negative but I think the room might have been renovated recently because there was a strong smell of new carpets or something like that but nothing that opening the window couldn't take care of. Valet parking was a bit unnecessary since the parking is just at the back of the building but staff was nice and friendly.

I have lived in San Diego county since 1976 but this is my first visit to your hotel. Delightful! Our roof top party was wonderful and we finished the evening in the basement bar - such fun. Robert, at the front desk, provided a great personal touch and I felt well taken care of. Thank you!

The hostel is near the park, which very convenient; the suites are spacious and the service is good. Unfortunately the nights are noisy, especially from Friday on... Generally I would give 8\10, I was left v pleased

Room was spacious, clean, well appointed, kitchen was a bonus. Everyone was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Loved having 10x magnification mirror in the bathroom.

Undergoing renovation - hall ways were partially blocked by crew. Would prefer a two king pillows rather than five smaller square - like pillows.

The renovation was a surprise to see, but, after seeing the room, it was so worth it! The hotel is turning out beautifully and still keeping the integrity of the old Park Manor Hotel building. Actually enjoyed peeking at the renovations to see before and after. Looking forward to trying out the appliances when finally working . Comfortable and chic and fresh . Love the colour choices - clean and vibrant without attacking the eyes.As a designer I found it just right! Close to everything! The staff was business like and yet so friendly and fun at the same time. Keep up the attitude ! The rooftop breakfast was oh so perfect to start the day! Great food too. I can go on and on. So glad to have found this place just the night before on Labor day weekend yet! The price was right and loved the 20% coupon for next visit!

Really no complaint. Just too bad no pool but, it is an older building with plenty of charm.

- the hotel is under construction now, so a/c in our room didn't work (but they have fans in all rooms) - parking is not free, 15$ per night is pretty expensive - complimentary breakfast is not hot, but you can order hot dishes in the "five two five" restaurant

This is a lovely old building being restored beautifully. We received an upgrade to a 2bdrm suite & it had been restored beautifully. The desk & valet staff were always friendly & helpful. Valet attendants were very prompt & little waiting. Kitchenette well equipped. Very close to Balboa Park & within short driving distance of other activities. Would have rated the hotel a 4, but much of the building is still under renovation, but our room renovation was completed & it was definitely a 4. This will be a beautiful property when completed, decorating is contemporary/deco & really nice.

Noisy location (corner room). Dishwasher & cooktop (newly installed) in room not operational & no hot water in kitchen. Bathroom needs exhaust fan as the moisture after showering was significant & will eventually destroy the wood window/sill & paint. Bedroom window difficult to open & in need of repair.

The room is spacious and the staff was very attentive I.E. Kaven and Daniel. The location is nearby to the Balboa Park and playground.

The room heater was not fucntioned due to the renovation works. However the hotel manage to gave us the portable heater which makes the room a bit warmth.

Die Lage war toll. Direkt am Balboa Park. Wir hatten eine Suite, die wirklich gross war. Die Kueche war gut ausgestattet. Es gab sehr viel Stauraum. Zimmer waren wirklich sauber.

Leider einiges. Das Zimmer war sehr hellhoerig. Die Fenster alt und dadurch kaum Hoerschutz zur Strasse. Abends hielt (Fr und Sa) ein Partybus vor dem Hotel und blieb dann Ewigkeiten mit laufendem Motor stehen. Es war sehr laut. Auf dem Hoteldach kann man Cocktails trinken. Das Partyvolk hat das gerne gemacht, waren dabei echt laut. Leider ging das Treppenhaus genau bei unserem Zimmer vorbei. Ausserdem gab es nur einen Aufzug, der entsprechend hoch frequentiert war. Parken ging nur als Valet. Internet war sehr langsam. Man hatte Schwierigkeiten ueberhaupt eine Verbindung herzustellen. Das Fruehstueck war typisch amerikanisch = schlecht. Paar Muffins, Bananen und Bagels. Man konnte aber richtiges Fruehstueck auch ordern. Ich empfehle aber dann lieber ein Fruehstuecksrestaurant in der Naehe aufzusuchen. Einfach den Concierge fragen, der hat gute Tipps.
