this was a great value hotel. clean, comfortable, breakfast included and free wifi. Rooms a good standard. Location was really good, close to subway, good range of restaurants around, some very close to the hotel, others just a few streets away, easy to walk to busier areas of 34th street and 6th/7th avenues. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again. breakfast room was a bit busy on the first day and tough to get the the buffet bar. But OK once you got there! Stayed for 6 nights so would have liked some kind of tea/coffee facilities in the room. Gym was basic, but OK, could have been a little bit more modern, but adequate for 30 mins on a training machine.

The hotel is very covenient to all sights in Manhattan. The rooms are very clean and the hotel is well maintained. The free continental breakfast fills you up until lunch and provides a wide variety of choices. There is a wide variety of restaurants within easy walking distance to the hotel and the east village and soho are a short subway or taxi rise away. Perfect location for visiting New York.

The hotel is very well located, the staff is friendly and it has a very good breakfast, despite being "continental". Even though we thought it was it quite expensive we found its facilities very convenient, including the gym and the business center. Rooms are not very big.

We were delighted with the service from the staff. The breakfast was very good, with fresh food, good coffee, and nice linens and dishes. We found the room quite small, and the fan for the heater noisy. However, we turned off the fan, and did not need it for our stay. There was no bureau and also no full length mirror, both of which would have been useful. We had a Queen room, and saw the King rooms, which had an easy chair and more space. However, the price difference did not warrant a change.

Location and proximity to my friend's place in Murray Hill. Nice lotions, shampoo & soap. Room is tiny. Bed was a bit uncomfortable. Could have used additional pillows. Had a view of the vents.

Great option to visit Manhatan. Very close to a subway station from where you can get anywhere of interest. The room is comfortable and clean. An additional plus was the complimentary breakfast.

Overall, fine regular hotel with a breakfast and free WiFi. 1) Pictures on the website were much better than actual things. 2) I had a problem - I forgot my wallet and was waiting for my Mom who had an extra card to my accounts. Despite the fact that I had my reservation made through booking.com with a credit card, and reservation email stated that one night rate was charged, actually nothing was charged and they refused to check me in without actual card:( so I had to wait till my Mom arrived which was pretty late...

Rooms were very clean and cozy. Considering the location I think it's great value for money. The closet was so tiny I could only hang one jacket.

Just the location and breakfast were ok. The rooms are totally different that what we saw from the booking.com. The size of the room was too small. Hotel is too old.

We liked the very convenient location of the hotel, so close to the subway line 6 (few steps walk). There were a lot of very nice restaurant in the area. The staff was really friendly and helped a lot, the room was very clean and well furnished, the bed was a great comfort, the room was quiet although on the street side, and finally the fitness room was great. I will definitely recommend this hotel to travelers.

Clean room. Breakfast served. Trash on street throughout the whole block...except for right in front of the hotel. Sugary cereals--more whole grain cereals, please. High price for such a tiny room.

We arrived in the middle of a snow storm and the staff were most warm and welcoming. We had a superior room for four which was spacious and comfortable. The beds were excellent and the bathroom facilities were very good. Cable tv and free WiFi in the room were a great advantage. The best part was the buffet breakfast. This was served in the Black Duck next door and it was simply brilliant - everything from frest fruit, cheese, cold meat, eggs, breads and sweet things as well as fresh coffee and a choice of teas. The hotel was a short walk to the subway and the bus routes which made it a great location to get either up or down town. Highly recommend this hotel. There is nothing to dislike about this hotel

God service og god morgenmad. Pænt og rent. Fin beliggenhed. Tæt på shopping. Tæt på subway. Queensize sengene var lidt små til større børn. Kingsize derimod super!

I really appreciated Maria honoring my request for a room on a low floor. I loved my room and the ease with which I could get to the lobby and breakfast. I also loved the friendliness of the fromt desk staff. I will certainly stay here when I return to ny. Thank you, Linda Doornbos I wish you would have had fox news :(

It is convenient to my business and the Black Duck Restaurant and Bar is both friendly and offers a pleasant environment in which to relax. The rooms at the rear of the hotel face three restaurants on 27th Street. The garbage trucks which empty their bins arrive during the middle of the night and hold a competition to see which of them can make the most noise. The inner rooms are built around a light well and here the air conditioning units take over from the bin lorries to keep one awake. The hotel would benefit from an investment in some decent double glazing.

Stayed at the Park South for four nights.Had an enjoyable experience & really couldn't fault much at all...oh yes, the iron wobbled a bit on the ironing table in the room...apart from that friendly staff & a comfortable hotel offered much to the traveller, a great breakfast to start your day & upon returning listening to Jazz in the Black Duck, great stuff. We asked for a view of New York when we booked & I believe we were given probably the best room in the hotel, with a great view of the Chrysler Tower on the eighth floor. When we return to nyc, I can't see us going anywhere else to stay!!

The hotel was ideally situated for getting round New York. The location was in a quieter part of the city, within walking distance of many attractions, but with the subway nearby. There were plenty of places to eat nearby. The staff were extremely helpful and the hotel was very comfortable. A really good find!

The location was very good with easy access to the subway. Good breakfast which is a bonus with a nice bar and restaurant. I would definitely stay here again. Room was a bit dark with not much natural light. Not a lot of room but comparable to other rooms of the same price range.

This hotel had everything I needed in a very quiet street - great little grocery on the corner... I was particularly blown away with the luggage attendants and reception staff who were so lovely and polite which I find to be a rarity these days! There was a beautiful girl behind the desk named Rachel who was so friendly - she really made me feel welcome and that like nothing was too much trouble! Oh for more hotel reception staff to be like her!! If service is important to you then you can't go past this quaint old world charmed hotel. Im a soft bed type person so the bed was a little on the firm side for me.
