Room was great, clean, comfortable bed, spacey. Very close to subway.
Street noise. Poor breakfast.
The bed is the best bed we've ever sleeped in. Location of the hôtel is perfect. The room (executive) is clean and spacious. However, as a good customer, I would have appreciated to know there was some work done in the main hall. Due to the situation, a discount would have been appreciated.
The work done in the hall and the fact that despite a "don't disturb" sign on our door, somebody tried to get in our bedroom 3 times the last morning we were in (lost customers ?)
Great Breakfast Good Location Clean room and bed Friendly staff
Loud air conditioner Room a bit small
Lovely hotel ,bar staff excellent
There was no mention of the renovations until we arrived so the hotel entrance was through the bar not the expected main entrance and I would have gone somewhere else had I known.
Very close to the subway station, and a easy walk even with your luggage. Staffs are very supportive and has an excellent atmosphere.
Breakfast very simple. Rooms very small (although it is as expected in center of Manhattan)
Newly renovated room with comfortable king sized bed. Very clean room and bathroom. Extra large fluffy towels Outstanding staff/extremely helpful.
Hotel renovations started at 8:30 a.m. Saturday morning-no sleeping in for anyone on the 4th floor. Loud music (don't know where it was coming from) playing until 1 a.m.
I really enjoyed my 3 nights here. Great location, nice and comfortable room and the staff was always great to interact with...the front desk staff was very nice. THE ROOFTOP RESTAURANT AND BAR IS AWESOME. Great views.
They were doing renovations so the lobby, elevator areas and other places looked unfinished but it wasn't that bad.
The hotel staff and location were good.
The hotel had major construction going on and this meant not only was there noise, but also, the breakfast area was so small that many guests were not able to sit. Plus there was construction noise daily. Not good value for the price of the room!
excellent position, nice staff, clean room
There's some very noisy aircon or heating system outside of the hotel, not sure if it belongs to the hotel or some nearby building, which had me use earplugs to sleep better.
the hotel was under recontruction and nobody adviced me, and the rates are the same
Staff was wonderful - food in the morning was great - room was clean and nice. Way better than the pictures.
Friendly staff, clean rooms, bed was really comfortable, location good - just by a metro line. Breakfast had a fairly good selection.
Noisy air-con but the pro was that this noise did block out the noise of the lift. Breakfast served in paper bowls/plates and plastic cutlery.
Location Roof Deck Room Interior
hallway and common areas are under construction and old
A very pretty room, near where I wanted to stay, and a nice breakfast lobby,.
I did think I was pestered a bit by cleaning staff outside the door, but when I raised this with the staff, and the possibility that I might be paying more than some guests, they reduced the price of the room. I also complained, in the room, about the furnishings, but it was in fact a very nice room, although I prefer less refurbishing. At one point I imagined I smelled gas coming from the hot water - and as in another hotel, in order to increase the volume of water, one had to increase the heat - but that might have been anxiety after noticing it quite a bit in the streets and, sometimes, the subway.
The staff was very professional and friendly. Also, helpful with directing me to various in the neighborhood. Rooms are well appointed, very clean and comfortable. Great location, breakfast bar is very generous. All you need in walking distance and close to subway.
The room was well furnished and clean, parking was easy and the roof top bar was a great place to hang out on the Saturday night with fab views of the ciry
The staff was great.. They offered to hold our luggage even after we checked out.
The lobby was under construction which was kind of a bummer and the roof top bar didn't carry Jack Daniels!
Rooms at the back of the hotel are facing noisy outside airconditioning ventilators. If you complain about noise, you are offered earplugs free of charge...and it is indeed the only way how to get some sleep. Despite other good aspects of the otel, it did not fulfill the main expectation- a place to have a night sleep.
WIFI has been turned off after mid-night.
Staff, recent refurbishment, location
Public areas being refurbished
Excellent location Friendly staff Copious breakfast
Location was close to several major tourist attractions but on a quiet side street without significant noise or hassle. Roof top bar was beautiful. Rooms very clean and surprisingly charming. Continental breakfast was as expected. Service friendly and helpful.
I really liked my room overall, and the noise level was pretty good for NYC. Mostly only disturbed by the 4am garbage trucks! The rooftop bar was a great respite after very long days of work.
I could have used a comforter or more substantial bedding, but the bed/pillows were nice. My only other complaint was that the radiator vent that the AC came out of was a bit rattly and loud. Overall, loved it!
The roof deck bar/restaurant was beautiful and the food and drinks were excellent.
Rooftop bar was inpressive if a little expensive. Cleanliness was good.
Superior Queen room was very small.
