wifi is not strong enough. breakfast is not to my taste at all - could have at least some oatmeal.
no notice of ongoing construction to the Lobby but it did not affect sleep.
The front office and bell hops were so friendly. They went out of their way to make sure we were able to find our way around the city while on foot.
Currently going through renovation. Very tight seating for breakfast.
Good breakfast, very good position near several metro lines
the hotel is in maintenance, terrible staff. I'd like to pay more but to have a staff more kind and also available to my requests, for example for a early check-in, considering that I informed them in advance!
The staff hands down were great. The room & bathroom were VERY clean. Will definitely stay there again.
Location of the hotel is perfect, close to subway,. Very friendly and helpfull staff. Room was small but clean.
Very noisy AC. No mini bar. Poor breakfast. Hotel was under construction. Due to the situation discount would have been expected.
Conveniently located to subway right on Park Avenue, clean and elegant, with staff that bent over backwards to meet our needs.
The room was nicely remodeled, compact but not crowded. The shower and bathroom design was perfect for the space available. The finishes were dignified not gaudy. The bed as comfortable as one could hope. The front desk staff was especially welcoming without feeling corporate. The continental breakfast as nicely displayed and managed band a welcome bonus.
The lobby is being remodeled so that space is crowded but workable. Breakfast seating was tight, but available both mornings. Temporary ground level signage could be improved, in the rain at night we walked by, but that might fall on these inattentive travelers.
Friendly personnel; tastefully decorated
Airco was noisy.
Easy check in Comfortable Bed Room and Bathroom very clean Other than the nearby elevator, room was quiet. Bartender was friendly
Room needed new carpeting Heating unit had missing knob Breakfast was mostly carbs, hard boiled eggs would have helped.
Staff awesome! (Chuck and Cat and several other people whose names I can't remember) Breakfast sufficiently rich and varying from day to day. Room spacious enough and nice. Cleaning service very good. Daily newspapers available at the reception every morning. Everyone professional and friendly at the same time. We felt like guests more than clients. Great experience.
We didn't like that the trip had to end.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, making sure there was a gluten free option at breakfast. The hotel is very close to a subway stop, but taxis are plentiful in the area. The newly renovated room was clean and cheerful.
There was construction across the stret that started early in the morning. The noise was a bit disruptive, but if you are an early riser anyway, it should be fine.
Newly renovated rooms as advertised
Requested a room higher up in the building, we were placed on the 2nd floor!!! Turns out all rooms you book for a "deal" are on the interior of the building and you look out your window to the exterior brick of the other hallway.
Quiet neighborhood in Kips Bay...really close to the subway!!! I loved how quiet it was even though we were still so close to midtown and great attractions. The executive king room was just perfect and gave us plenty of room w/ a great view! Definitely looked forward to coming back after a long day of events! Staff was very accomodating and arranged a driver to take us to the airport. It was cheaper than a cab!!!
They were still going through renovations and the lobby was very narrow. The rooftop bar was closed but it was due to the weather and time of season. Wish we knew that this was not available to us.
The staff were so friendly and professional after a transatlantic flight it felt like home from home .the room was immaculate and warm and the beds are not your ordinary hotel bed. There are renovation works going on at the moment but it didn't interfere with our stay overall a great time was had by all
Best hotel room I've had in NYC. They were really friendly, apologised for the renovations even though they didn't affect our stay. Best bed I've slept on in a hotel
The accommodations are wonderful. Plush towels, great bedding, and wonderful breakfast.
The location The size of the room The décor Great overall experience
Hotel is conveniently located downtown near the green subway line - if you want a cab, check the nearest main street/avenue as it's a quiet block when it comes to available taxi's. Room (superior queen) was good - not so big but that was not bothering us as we weren't there most of the time. Breakfast was very nice and always enough for everyone - fresh bread (bagels and toast), coffee, tea, juice yoghurts, sweet pastry, fresh fruit (banana, apple).
We asked twice for a taxi but it didn't come. As we were on a tight schedule, we had to leave and find a taxi ourselves.
The location of the Park South was nigh on perfect for the trip planned! It was my present to my daughter who had reached 21 and had never been to NYC. When we arrived, threw the bags down, went out for a walk and came up on the Empire State Building. Fantastic start!! The Park South was a perfect start point for all we wanted to see and do!!! Thanks
Modern, elegant room Double sheeted blanket Free, excellent continental breakfast No mini bar Well designed room with place to put suit case, two chairs, super modern bathroom Great location for foodies
Lobby area is being renovated so it's a little cramped Poor lighting in breakfast area also due to construction
The hotel was under construction so it was messy and loud. The bathroom was not very clean. I would not recommend.
I'm a New Yorker and I needed to vacate my apartment for a night. Love the location and the design of the hotel. The hotel is newly renovated and is aiming to be a design hotel. It is also nicely priced compared to other NYC hotels. The complimentary continental breakfast was also a nice touch.
The HVAC unit was noisy. I switched to another room and had the same situation so I went to my initial room and the engineer came to fix the HVAC unit. The noise was greatly reduced, but it is still a loud unit. Possibly due to age. Also, it's hard to satisfy everyone re: the pillows, but I found them to not be firm enough.
Comfortable bed, calm decor and quality fabrics, refurbished bedroom and lovely bathroom, roof top bar, friendly and very helpful staff.
Cannot comment on 'facilities' as almost all of the first floor was screened off for renovation.
Room was great, clean, comfortable bed, spacey. Very close to subway.
Street noise. Poor breakfast.
