Bed bugs!!!!!!!! Disgusting place. I am very disappointed with booking.com for having this “hotel” on the list. When we were charged for five nights upfront at the check- in, we thought that this is odd, but nevertheless we paid prior to seeing the room. At the first look the room was ok for the price, but it smelled terrible (we could not figure out the nature of the smell). On a third night we discovered bed bugs, it was horrific! We did not sleep that night and understood where the smell coming from-they were spraying hard to eliminate bed bugs. In the morning we received full refund and literally ran from Park Hotel, Sutter Street sf across the street to the Marryat. The difference was like day and night. The management of the Park Hotel is well aware of the problem-the refund was issued immediately upon the complaint. Our vacation was ruined anyway. I would better stay home, than to stay in such a scary place.

Very reasonable prices, the room was clean and more spacious than I had expected, with a fridge and TV. Luckily had a very quiet room in the inner courtyard. Excellent location in downtown and near Chinatown.

I would not necessarily recommend a room without a private bathroom, each floor appeared to have only one shower and one toilet which was challenging at times.

Close to all the attractions

That I didnt sleep at all due to the construction workers keeping me up all night and the crack heads screaming in the alley where my room window was located

The room was a little basic but quite comfortable for three nights.

Location to Union Square was great which is where my conference hotel was. The Park was convenient to the various transport options (cable car, trolley car, bus) to get around the sight seeing destinations. Really helpful staff ( E.G. found me a soft pillow late at night so I was more comfortable). No noise at all and I didn't see any homeless on the doorstep at all - as was one reviewer's comments. I would recommend to all.

Small street at back of hotel--very noisy late at night, then some construction project starting at 5 a.m.

location is very good, not far from subway.

The staff members were very personable and helpful to me as a mom traveling with a young son. Linens good and room clean. Convenient to downtown SF and public transit. Inexpensive for SF and good as a place to 'crash'

The hotel is very very old and never has been updated. Bed was hard as a rock and no amenities: no phone and maybe 4-5 channels on tv. Not very secure-- window did not lock and door has old style key lock.

Convenient location, close to union square,Macy's, chinatown and public tranportation is easy to reach. Looks like they have a public kitchen in each floor where you can cook youself to save money.

Great location, staff was ok. There was a kitchenette on the 3rd floor which was handy. The bedlinens were clean and athe bed was comfortable.

I didnot like the 3 cockroaches in my room, one of which landed on my face when I was in bed. I did not like that I couldnt turn off the radiator, so if I closed my window the room was way to hot. I did not like the unidentifiable, yet distinct, awful odor which contiuously came thru my window. I didn't like the choice of fluorescent lightbulbs they used. I dont know if all the rooms had the same odor problem I had. Lets assume not, I should have taken the opportunity to ask for another room with out the stank. Then I probably would have had a better experience.

Good location to visit the town and for the nightlife. Really close to main attractions.

The room was really different from the one we saw in internet! It really needed some refurbishment. No breakfast included, nor kettle in the room. No hairdrier and only two small towels. It's ok only for a couple of night in town.

We arrived at the hotel at 9pm and upon seeing our room advised the receptionist it wasn't good enough who then showed us one of the hotels better rooms - the window didn't close, none of the furniture matched, their was a bath but no shower, the sink was in the room, the bedsheets were stained and from sometime in the victorian age. The fridge was sitting alone in the middle of the room and was leaking. The carpet was dirty stained and again was from the Victorian age. The room also had a musty smell! I told the receptionist I was not happy and would not be staying and she said that was no problem and would refund the $348.00 we had paid for 3 nights - which she did. The next I had $94.00 charged to my credit card for my stay - not impressed and would certainly not recommend it!!

Public shower bathroom not clean in the afternoon, should be kept up during the day..change the floor towel.

The location was convenient to go anywhere in the city.

The facilities were super old. The hotel and my room were both dusty and in a bad shape in general. Tiny bathroom with no tub and mirror. They charged me $50 more to have a private bathroom although I booked a room with no shared bathroom. Stuff unfriendly and unwilling to help. Overall a poor experience. I would never go again and never ever recommend this place to a friend!!!
