While the cost was better, that is because we only planned to be there to just shower and sleep. For anything more, it was just " OK "
Small size room, water takes forever to heat up, no ice anywhere, not even a guide to what channels are on it's TV.
It was awful. The kind of place you rent by the hour and not for more than that! I wanted to leave the minute I stepped in. Dirty, smelly, dark and dingy! Nothing was good. The owner was creepy too
Everything....the room was tiny and dirty. Poor excuse for a room.
The staff was very nice. The surrounding countryside was pretty. The shower was clean and the water hot. The bed was comfortable and warm. The lock was good.
The room needed a little maintenance, the sink needed the spout adjusted and the door needed to have the stripping nailed back in place.
Close to my activities while in New York
The motel is just very OLD,short of tearing it down & starting from scratch it will always be the same.It was just a place to sleep for me I knew it was old but I expected it to be a little nicer, oh well maybe I just got what I paid for !
closest available hotel to Cooperstown for Induction weekend. Staff was very friendly and answered any questions we had. new carpet in room Shower was Hot
wifi didn't work in back building. Room was non smoking but still had lingering smell of a smoking room from a while ago even with new carpet no refrigerator in one room. appeared to have some mold in shower corners. Broken remote in one of the rooms
Despite the aged facilities, it was a clean room. I just needed the room to sleep, and if you're okay with being away from town, it was a fine choice.
Continued 'smoking' rooms should be eliminated Should be upgraded to give a better first impression.
The woman at the front desk was very pleasant and It was obvious that she was trying to please. The cleaning staff had done their best to make the room presentable. The sheets smelled clean. We were given extra pillows with a smile. The location appeared to be very safe. The inn is under new management, and perhaps the new owners haven't yet taken on all the projects that would make this inn more desirable.
The room smelled of mildew. It was tiny with barely enough room for a king size bed, bureau and desk. There was no closet or luggage stand. The bathroom door would not close - left a gap of about 4 inches - it had obviously been wet and warped. The chain on the door to the parking lot was broken off. The plug in the sink was just lying in the sink and was not connected. The bathroom fan sounded like a freight train was running through the room. The towels were threadbare but clean. The rug was badly stained but vacuumed. The "gardens" around the parking lot were mostly untended weeds. The inn is situated out in the country, quite a drive from the city center. The room we had would have been a stretch at maybe $39.00 per night. At over $100 per night, it was overpriced.
My room was very smelly of smoke and as I asked for a non smoked I was not happy.
very neat and clean
No curtain in bathroom
