very clean, good bedding, good location, good value
RR mailline one block away. Neighbors dog barking at night.
The price. The room decor. Small limited breakfast included.
The ice locked up in the office. Burned out lights and defective lights. No fan in the bathroom.
Liked everything except the room AC wasn't cooling enough to sleep with and was really noisy.
Carpet had stains
Comfortable bed Clean bathroom Breakfast adequate
Staff curt Train very close-goes past often, but air conditioner sound blanked it out No place for toilet bag in bathroom
beds were comfortable
cramped bathroom crummy shower dirty carpet
Maybe some towel racks in the bathroom.
Trains rolled past less than a block away all night. A loudly barking dog seemed to be awake all night as well. The staff acted like it was a bother for them to be there.
the room was nice, cozy, and clean. The bathroom was also clean. The premises were quiet.
The front desk clerk was grumpy and unpleasant. There is no access to the ice machine, the front desk clerk has to get ice for you. We needed ice for our cooler, so waited until the office opened at 8:00 a.m. to request ice. At 8:05 a.m. we knocked on the front office door because it was still locked and there was nobody there. The desk clerk eventually came in response to our knock, made a snide remark about not being open yet and us not being patient, and then complained about having to work on a Sunday. He also yelled at someone's dog in the middle of the night, which was much more disturbing than the dog.
The carpet was filthy
The price was very good on booking.com.
The breakfast you can forget. When we were making breakfast at 8:30, no coffee was there and really no food. 3 eggs that was it. And some muffins. But no butter. It is a bed and brakfast without really brakfast now. In the bathromm were laying old towls behind the door. We stayed in the last 7 years around 9 times there. Every 2 years, during our visits in Oregon, 2 times. It was always very good there and we liked it very much. But it looks like this really nice motel is slowly going down. Very sad. Christian from Bavaria.
This place was better than spots I've stayed at that were 30$+ more. Really comfortable beds, friendly owners and their free breakfast was much better than other motels in the budget range.
3 barking dogs tied up in a filthy, dirt yard kept 4 of us awake. The train horns blasting at midnight and again at 2:00 am didn't help either. Absolutely miserable. Never again. I'll sleep in my car. Staff was abrupt and seemed put out that we wanted to check in. Not one word of greeting. Real class act.
The owners had been updating the place quite a bit and it was very good. Free breakfast. New windows.
There were a couple of things that needed repair, which we informed them about.
for money i paid it was ex place
Nicely-decorated room and bathroom with a Western theme, clean, great staff and impressive breakfast...best value for money. Walking distance from the Pendleton outlet.
Close to the main road, but noise wasn't at all bothersome with the air conditioner on.
I loved how clean it was. The Breakfast was good. It definitely had a homey feeling!
When asked about things that were going on in the town, The staff didn't seem to know a whole lot.
The rooms were very clean, decor was nice, nice staff, great price.
My only complaint with the room was the lack of counter space in the bathroom. The breakfast was very basic.
We could not use the sink, the sink was clogged, the staff did not respond
soft beds, staff was very kind and helpful. Quiet, very friendly price was well within our budget. I would recommend Rugged Country Lodge to anyone going through Pendelton.
I have very bad knees and needed to walk upstairs.
Clean, Comfortable cosy room. Best quality WIFI service I have ever experienced in any motel in the USA.
Noisy train runs behind motel every few hours
Location, price, cleanliness, simple but sufficient breakfast ... very comfortable breakfast room.
Noisy a/c fan, no exhaust fan in bath, coffee not too good in the room or at breakfast
Awesome room good selection of tv channels trains don't blow their horns as they're going by at night so you can hardly hear them go by at night
Really run down hotel accross the street but the landscaping of country lodge helps hide it
The country setting and very nice decorated
It smelled horrible hair in the bed and my TV stopped working
