Only location. The hotel is not worth the money we paid for it: hotel staff was rude and unhelpful, very very squeaky bed, no soundproofing, the view from the window was the wall of the neighbour buildind we stayed two nights and they did not clean our room inspite of the 15 dollar fee for room servise, Breakfast was two sorts of pastry and it takes place in other hotel lobby. It is not funny at all.

Location is good and staf was friendly Other than the location there is not much good.. Humid, it's smelling mold, breakfast is in other hotel and some ants were running there. Basic roadside motel is better.

No service - poor staff skills, impersonal may as well just selected a key from a vending machine . Would not recommend to anyone. Could not get breakfast as they dfo not serve prior to 8am, but as I was leaving before 8am, I requested that I get something the night before and keep in my fridge. No go on that one. No free 1-800 numbers but other Hotels in the district have that for no extra included in the fee. Ropey Wi-Fi service - poorly administered. Rating 0.5 out of 5 stars. Will never ever stay there again and am spreading the word fast to all my colleagues and friends nmot to stay there. Best Scott

Practical place. Not too expensive. Best lacation possible. Internet avialable. No towels for two days. Front desk promised, but did not deliver. The vouchers for drinks are bogus, so is the Breakfast. However, Starbucks and other Breakfast places just around the corner. Some things are not ideal. Ac icing up, No towels. Rooms not in prime shape. Shebby corridors, relatively ok and practical rooms.

Awful hotel, our room was damp and the smell of damp mould was very strong, the paint was all bubbled from damp, the metal lamp was all rusted cos of it. The room was also very dirty and looked as though it had not been cleaned for a while. We were told no other rooms were available and that we had to stay that night and talk to manager in morning , however manager never came, as she was too busy, price was also higher due to hidden charges and resort fee. We arrived at 1am and after seeing the room and the general shabby state of penguin we were tempted to sleep in our car and I can say that after a few hours in that smelly room, the car would have been a better choice. We left after a couple of hours sleep and after having to argue with reception staff to get our money back that we had pre paid for the week. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, I cant comment on other rooms but ours was very damp and this would be a health risk to anyone staying a few days.

The location is good. Everything else was terrible from check in through to check out. The room was poor and nothing like the images. I had to move out of an Ocean view room as the shower was broken, the receptionist at check in was so rude and unhelpful. To be fair the one when I checked out was very nice. The breakfast is basic and at $15 extra, which you have to pay for at check in, its not worth it at all. My advice would be to avoid this place.

Nice hotel. The location is excellent and I really recommend it for that. For a 3 star hotel with this location, the price is quite good. The bathroom and the towels were clean. The room walls were a little bit dirty. And the reception was moldy!

My favorite aspect of The Penguin Hotel was its relaxed and breezy vibe. Although it is on the Ocean Drive strip, it is on the outer edge of it and so far enough away from the noise and craziness that plagues the central strip.

The staff was very helpful. At our second stay in hotel we got a perfect, large room with ocean view. The location is perfect, close to the beach and night life, but not loud at all.

The staff at the Pengiun hotel was absolutely great. We asked about clubs to go to and they provided free passes and, staff also promptly fulfilled all requests. The location was also the best...the hotel was right across the street from the beach and, near shopping, tons of food options, and all of the southbeach nightlife. Free breakfast was provided mostly juice, coffee, and pastries but it still hit the spot when we were on the go. The hotel also provided a free cocktail each day. And, they provided beach chairs and towels which came in real handy. Overall, we had a great stay...no major complaints. The only suggestion that I would make for this hotel is to provide a microwave somewhere within the hotel. We end up wasting alot of food just for the sheer fact we couldn't warm anything up.

Staff was very friendly and attentive! Rooms were small but still very cute and comfortable. Would definitely stay at this hotel again! Small room, but with so much to do in the area you wouldn't be in the room but to sleep.

For the past 10/11 years we celebrate our wedding anniversary (this year #53) at the Penquin or President. Carmen was especially helpful and always a delight to see. Looking forward to next year!! Also enjoy sitting on the porch and enjoying our visitors from other countries. Happy hour drinks and continental breakfast a plus. The Gooches

The personnel from the reception: they are really nice and they help you with tourist information. The hotel is nice and it is placed in the quiet part of the legendary Ocean Drive street. By paying 15$+tax per night (mandatory), breakfast and free wifi are included. The valet parking: they scratched our car when they returned it to us and, after that, they expected to be tipped!!! I strongly recommend not to use the valet parking; much better to park in the parking placed on 12th or 13th street and it cost 20$ per day. Apart of this, you must pay 15$+tax per night and it includes free cocktails, breakfast and free wifi, but it is not really true: cocktails are half than normally and you have to pay 1$ for each cocktail.

The location was great. It was very close to the beach and within walking distance from great restaurants, shopping and entertainment. I didn't like how breakfast was served at the sister hotel. I think that the penguin had a nice location and had a nice view for having breakfast.
