I like the location. Room is good.
I was waiting more than 1 hour in the line for reservation. Lack of front desk staff.
Attitude and bad service. The rooms are very small. The hotel and the rooms are very outdated. The room is not clean. Not worth the cost.
Rooms being cleaned everyday
No real free wifi Safes that were in reception
Location and view from changed room. Staff we're very helpful and friendly.
Initial room offered was very small and claustrophobic but changed room was fine. Although very clean the bathroom was a bit old and tired looking.
This is a great, economical option for your stay in NYC. Yes, the room was rundown, but it was very clean and maintained well by the staff during our stay. I know of several people have also stayed here and we can all agree we'll stay again. Book in advance and I think this is your best value for money.
The air con was very loud and we couldn't keep it on overnight.
This is a tired hotel. It needs a major renovation. The location is good - opposite Penn Station but facilities other than a bed are basic. The room is small. No tea or coffee making.
The bedroom was spacious. Location is great, accross from Penn Station and two steps from Macy's and 34th Street Shopping area. Lots of elevators, all working. Good TV. AC working well.
Hotel floors look very old and ugly. Bathrooms are old and very small. Very few power outlets. Closet is small.
If you're in NYC primarily as a first-time tourist, it's right in Herald Square, near attractions like the Empire State Building and Fashion Ave You're close to travel amenities like the B, D, E, 1, 2, and 6 trains, Penn Station, and the NYC Airporter to JFK and LaGuardia
As a native staying there for business purposes, it was a real letdown: it's in the most touristy area second only to Times Square, making it busy, loud, and subject to constant solicitation on the street. The hotel itself is old, which is fine, but the room really showed some wear and tear. The furniture was old and not particularly sound, the windows were so dirty, you couldn't see clearly out of them, and the paint on the walls was dirty and chipped. When I walked into the room, the first thing I smelled was chlorine as the bathroom had just been "cleaned." The faucets in the bathtub and sink dripped, so eventually it began to smell dank and moldy. The walls were thin, even by New York standard and you can hear everything in the neighboring rooms and corridors It's a large, busy hotel and is fine if you don't plan on spending any time in the rooms, but if you're traveling on business or know you'll have large chunks of downtime that you'd rather spend more comfortably than an area Starbucks or bar allows, I'd explore other options
1.5 hour wait to check in at 10 PM Small, out-dated room
Awesome spot close to everything in Mid Town
Annoyed when room keys would not work
in the middle of new york
Great location for walking to Times Square, Macy's, Empire State, + penn station opposite hotel...
Room & corridor decor, a bit shabby- needs money spent on this very old building
The rooms are really old furnished but they're clean. For a group of friends it's perfect, for a family it's not recommendable. A very big plus for the location. It's situated in de middle of downtown manhatten and almost next to the Empire State Building and the Times Square. All in all i would recommend this hotel to all guys, which are sightseeing the whole day and just for the nights at the hotel.
Very old furnished rooms. Long waiting times at the reception. The carpets on the corridors are smelling (because they're old).
dirty, everything broken, old, carpets worn to a thread, bathroom broken and generally the worst hotel ever
I had a good deal. I payed almost half the regular price. The rooms are fine. The hotel is in the heart of the touristic area of Manhattan.
The location of this hotel was amazing because we were in town for a concert at the garden.
The rooms are not updated at all. Neither are the bathrooms. We changed our first room because it was unwelcoming. There was not a single picture or item somewhat welcoming in the room. The second room was alittle better. The desk was very helpful and made it easy in switching our room. This is a hotel of convience for travels that just need a room to stay in for the night
The location is perfect. I fly into Newark Airport and take the NJTransit train straight to Penn Station then just cross the road to the hotel. Also very close to all the shops and amenities I am looking for.
The lack of space in the rooms. I booked a Superior Double !!! I was given a room that had a King Size bed (which I did not request) then I couldn't get out of bed with hitting my legs on the mini fridge on one side and the TV on the other. No table to put anything on. The hallways as you came out of the Elevators had an awful smell and the carpets had stains on them. The paintwork on all the walls and doors needed to be painted. Cannot recommend this hotel now even though it has a perfect location.
Dated bathroom needs upgrading
The care of the staff.
Huuuuge! No frige and the Windows don't open.
LA UBICACIÓN DEL HOTEL ES EXCELENTE.
EL PRECIO POR LA HABITACIÓN ES SUPER COSTOSA
Good value for money, excellent location.
The hotel was always full so there was always a line at the reception. The hotel is old and some of the furniture was worn especially in the bathroom.
- Location is super - Desk staff are very good
- Old TV, and very poor quality pictures -- Not so bright lights - Old carpets - no bar-fridges
Decor, dated, bathrooms were dirty. Moldy. Peeling tub from a constant drip. Old tvs, remote didn't work.
Change the entire interiors e.g rug, toilet seats, bed sheets etc .
It's one of the dirtiest hotel have seen in the recent past
