I love the location, it is right in the middle of Manhattan. Also, every time I came back to my room I had freash towels and bed sheets.
There was a lot of dust around my bed and dirt on the floor of the shower. The dirt never was cleaned out the 3 days I stayed.
Excellent location..within walking distance to major attractions..big spacious lobby..excellent staff
Water pressure in shower was non-existent..mold on bathroom door..cracked/broken moulding on ceiling...uncomfortable beds..rooms are in dire need of an update
For a sight seeing trip the location was excellent, within walking distance to major attractions.
The water temperature while showering fluctuated wildly. At first buring me, then freezing me.
It was very convenient staff was nice
Rooms were outdated Rugs were worn and old Beds were very small Walls had sanded bad spots and needed painting Bath tub showere cold water did not work
There was a mouse in my room and the sink was clogged. Asked for help but no one showed up.
The lobby and outside of the rooms were beautiful. The staff was very helpful and nice.
Once you went into the room, the bathroom was not the cleanest. Things were falling apart. The pillows were flat as a pancake which made it very uncomfortable. Where our room was, there was the loudest music in the streets or something playing until 3-4am. Barely slept at all, which made our outings the next day very difficult.
The location is perfect.
Staff were not helpful and polite. Storage for bags for 5 dollars per each bag even in fact nobody will help you with your bags to store them.
location is great, lots of shops, cafes etc. Breakfast was good. This hotel is much cheaper than others. Everything was ok if you're not expecting something outstanding for that price.
my friends experienced some problems with hot water
Dirty corridors stains (vomit ?) in carpet, not vacuumed during our 4 day stay. Dirty bath, flaking paint, window was 1 cm open, could not be opened or closed. bedsheets too small for bed.Heating very noisy.
The location is good
The appearance of the place is need of upgrade. The carpet through out the hotel looks dirty could use a good cleaning or better yet, be replaced.
Railway station feel to the hotel. Misleading advertising on onine booking site - particularly with regards to "discount". High cost of breakfast. General grubby feel.
Our upgrade when our first room didn't have a working shower
For the price, it was a dump. Our first room had cigarette burns on the bedding, looked like it hadn't been painted or fixed since the 70's and the shower didn't work. Th bed was extremely uncomfortable and we avoided it.
Rates of the room
Everything else apart from the very nice man working in the bag drop off location, and the maid who did her best to make a run down and dirty room seem as good as it could be. The hotel is in need of investment, to be honest I would not stay there again in its current state.
room in desperate need of refurbishment the room we booked was not available girls had to share bed very poor for price. Would not recommend to friends
the location of the hotel is perfect.
i had reserved supreme room with two double beds, non smoking, at check in i was advised the only room they had was a smoking. We advised one of us had an allergy to smoked and what happens if we can't take it, we were advised "check out", really at 6:00 pm in NYC look for another hotel. She proceeded to check with the manager and said they had one room that had two twin beds instead, we didn't have much of a choice. They would only take 50.00 off the price of 517.00. The room was tiny, the beds were tiny, the blow dryer in the bath room did not work, the room was so hot.
Everything was easily accessible.
Old tired room , and ceiling ,,,!!!
a Clean room and bed
Easy to book online Check-in was fast
Room was shabby Housekeeping didn't clean the room since check-in (3 days) Staff at information desk hated her job and didn't want to answer questions. Actually "sssshed" us. Time Square is a crowded hell hole, cabs were almost impossible to find Very expensive for what you're getting, the experience was like staying at a shabby motel
We have stayed here many times and have always been satisfied. This is one of New York's jewels.
When we added a night at first they told us we could keep the same room - but then realized it was a lovely corner room that we had been given as an upgrade. Then they concocted a story that that floor was "out of order" and they would have to move us. Initially they moved us to a room that was just awful - but when I objected they gave us a much nicer room that had been renovated in this century. My point to them is this: if you can't let me have the upgrade room at the bargain rate - just tell me so - don't make up stories!
Christopher checked us in and was charming. our room was cleaned to a very high standard daily. We are repeat customers and will be back.
