The room was smelly and not appealing at all. The entrance hall makes us believe that we are in a reasonable place, but it is just appearance. I will not stay or recommend it to anyone. Our reservation was for two nights, and even after complaining about our room we were reimbursed only one night. S. Izumi - Eden Prairie, MN
The location of the Hotel was great - right outside of the train station and right next door to Macy's. Only a few blocks away from Times Square. We were able to express checkout, so we didn't have to stand in the checkout line.
So many people are coming and going in this hotel, it seems nothing gets cleaned very well in the rooms. Our room was shabby, at best. Don't walk around the room barefoot.
It was across the street from Penn station and easy to get to the US Open and cheap. I wasn't planning on sitting in the hotel, anyway. Nothing bit me in the room
TV and furniture were very old and the beds were hard and the pillows smelled of sweat and BO. The long halls were creepy and carpet dirty and worn I was afraid to look for bed bugs but nothing bit me so that was a positive
The location is unbeatable. The staff is polite. The room size was ok.
Could be way better maintained and it needs a deep cleaning, especially the carpets and courtains.
Most things everything is very dated .
It was a nice, easy to find hotel with a friendly staff and comfy, clean rooms
You could hear everything in the corridor; I had the ice machine more or less opposite me and you could hear every time people used it. It was very frustrating
Busy, dated, dirty, okd, uncomfortable. Expensive for what it was
the room was to small for the price
The bed and the curtain
Room was certainly adequate. Large. Clean. One bed mattress was poor condition. Location was great. Desk service was excellent as was valet parking. People were all helpful.
These are not important issues. Room was sparse looking. No comfortable sitting chairs. No coffee pot, etc.
location express check-out price
Hotel looks tired and old, I found a cockroach on bathroom floor on night I arrived.
THE SIZE OF THE ROOM CLEANLINESS AMBIANCE SMELL SIZE OF THE BATHROOM AND ETC
Excellent location for tourists close to shops, buses, train, restaurants.
Poor cleaning. Dirty carpets and curtains in need of serious renovation.
no luggage storage for free no free wifi it seemed like a shopping centre, people getting in and out all the time. it is a trip back to the 50s. too old for the price paid.
the room needed a shape up the toilet downstairs was no good
Lack of clean room. Hotel from 1920's. Very dissatisfied with the Q Cleanliness of the hotel. Stains on bed linen. Dirty grubby bathroom , old and dilapidated.
Excellent location. Easy access to subway and NY attractions.
The air condition temperature too low
No guest facilities, very old construction , not even basic required by traveller not even tea maker Not worth the money you spend similar were view of other guests i spoke to
The whole room. The hotel needs bringing up to modern day standards, bathroom was a disgrace.
Rooms are small and bad
Fantastic location - central to all the areas we visited. Lobby staff & "ticket selling" personnel really knew NYC & gave excellent suggestions & advice. Room was basic but comfortable. Able to store our baggage after checking out.
Terrible Wi-Fi connection - had to be in Lobby to use it OR had to pay extra in order to use it in room :( Bit expensive (but where isn't it in NYC). Could do with a lick of paint.
dramatically dirty room ,never have seen that since many many years !!!
Location, elevator and price
Room, carpet, bathtub, electricity are old and looks dirty
