The only good thing about it was the locations. However, after being there we realized that were many other Inns/Hotels in the same desirable area. The beds were terrilbe (as stated by other travelers. The carpet was disgusting. It is obvious they do not put any money into updating the rooms or even making them comfortable. I also didn't like the fact they charged my credit card prior to our actual stay. I guess they were afraid I would refuse to stay after seeing the room. We will never stay there again and will make sure other folks know to seek other accomadations.

I LOVED everything about the Periwinkle Inn. I plan on staying there every time we come down to Cape May from now on. Sooooo clean. I would like to stay in the two story area in the front of the hotel. So convenient to the beach and night life. Thank you!!!

The location was about the only positive. The place was dirty, very noisy, extremely small with no amenities to speak of, and the maid service was below average. The place was dirty, very noisy, extremely small with no amenities to speak of, and the maid service was below average. There were 2 dead grasshoppers on the carpet when we arrived, and the sheets were not changed once for the 6 nights of our stay.

I liked being right across from the beach and loved the fact that they have a pool to cool off in when you have had enough of the sand! The beds were very uncomfortable...hard as a rock.

Clean with a pool across the Drive from the beach. 1/2 mile from center of town. Nutty management. Initially tried to deny our Hotel.com reservation. Hotel.com straightened that out. The day of travel to the hotel we called to confirm our arrival time and was told we'd have to pay in cash, up front, for a 7 night stay. Rochelle had previously agreed to honor the written Hotel.com reservation confirmation and accept VISA. During this call to confirm our arrival Carol started the "cash" fight all over claiming Rochelle wasn't there so her agreement was not valid. We won but it wasn't pleasant. Can't recommend this place to anyone cuz any deal you think you have may not be honored upon arrival! Like I said, nutty management.

updated bathrooms, clean and well maintained We showed up and were told that they don't take credit cards and we had to produce $943 in cash! Of course, when we booked we were told that credit cards were fine and, of course, they still wanted our credit card for a security deposit. Rediculous! Who, other than drug dealers, carries a thousand dollars in cash?? We hit our max for cash machine per day and actually had to take a collection from our family to pay for our room. Needless to say, we wont be staying there again.

beautiful landscaping and outside features, colors, lighting, etc I did not like the charge for extra people in the room. If there are 2 queen beds, then 4 people should be included in price of room. I had to pay an extra $140 for my teenage daughter and her friend. Not a great big deal, but when spending nearly $1000 anyways, should be included.

the location There was a musty smell in the room, the floor was moving and made noises when you walked in front of the beds, and the mattress looked like the mattress from a pullout couch with a big box spring under it.

Right on the beach, easy access to activities. Nice pool area, with activities like sandbox and suffleboard. Very clean and spacious rooms, beautiful landscaping. Rather expensive, though we went at the last minute. Front desk ignored me for 10 minutes upon arrival.

We appreciated the family friendly environment. The staff did what they were asked to do and nothing more. The Inn needs a drastic makeover. The room was clean however; a mildew smell was overpowering to the point of causing my asthma to trigger. My kids were complaining about the odor the entire time. What a great memory.Thier was no other accomodation and that was unfortuniate. We love Cape May but will more than likely stay elsewhere if possible. For what we paid to stay a week, it should have been top notch and was not.

I liked the landscaping the best. The flowers were amazing! My only setback was with Booking.com. We received an unpleasant surprise when we checked in. The room had not been prepaid as we had thought. This caused some stress. This wasn't the fault of the owners of Periwinkle. The staff handled the situation well.
