The motel doesn't look like much on the outside but is very comfy and surprisingly well-kept on the inside. Just shows to tell that you can't judge a book by its covers. : )
Great price New bathrooms Super clean Awesome walking trail behind the motel
Road noise started up at 6am be sure to sleep early
Cable TV. The staff was very friendly. I needed an iron and the owner loaned me hers. Very accommodating :)
The staff was accommodating and pleasant. The price was excellent. For a one-night stay, the room and kitchenette were perfect for our needs. The rooms are clean and well-kept. The motel is very close to restaurants and other stores. We will stay here again.
Location. The beds were the best we have used in a long time. We had a much bigger room than last year which made our stay enjoyable
Bathroom was a bit to small.
Comfortable bed, cleanliness, quiet location, usual danish/coffee breakfast but also yogurt.
Location was center of town Bed, linens Quiet AC & Heat Clean room Clean carpet Clean bathroom Very nice staff Very quiet room Bananas and cereal in the lobby Coffee maker in room with good strong coffee, also had tea. Good, safe well lit parking
Kitchen could have been a bit more equipped. One of the 2 burners on the stove top did not function.
By car, both the Ashland Shakespeare Festival and New Sammy's Cowboy Bistro (excellent restaurant in Talent) are conveniently near.
Car access is tricky, parking lot tight.
Updated and very clean. Staft helpful & friendly, mini breakfast good.
We would stay again if in the area. Small motel but very clean and great kitchen area with the room. Quiet and comfortable accommodations.
Bed was like a big pillow...so comfortable. The room was very clean with updated furnishings. The owner was very nice, friendly, & helpful. Great location.
Parking was tight & the direction of the spaces didn't make sense.
When you just need a clean, no-frills overnight stay, this is a perfectly adequate choice. I would definitely recommend it.
Very reasonable price.... Pleasant staff interaction Good recommendation for meals
Clean, quiet, spacious room, comfortable bed, selection of pillow thicknesses, good shower, convenient location, great price.
No counter space in bathroom.
The manager has been very nice he let us put our luggage in at 11.30am due to the fact,we had to bring our car in for repair at a local car repairshop!
There was electricity, a tv and small pool for the kids and a newer a/c unit.
The floors (awful dark green carpet esp) were filthy, there weren't any large utensils, pots or pans in the kitchen. No way to take a bath or hooks for clothing. The room had a strange funky odor and the acoustics were off.
this is a clean, nicely run, older motel with great access to Ashland. It's simply furnished and has a very basic kitchenette, which was an unexpected plus. Nice people!
the kitchenette was sparsely supplied with dishes, etc; but as I was not renting with the expectation of a kitchen this was no big deal. If you ask, they might be able to set it up more. Pool was not in top condition, but it's not the major factor in being there.
My room was clean, the bed was new and comfortable, if you like your bed a little on the firm side. The motel is an older type of drive-in motel which included older kitchen appliances, sink, and dining table which was half taken up by the microwave. It is located close to the road but I didn't hear road noise at night. The air/heat system worked well and the room was clean and neat. The bathroom has an old style shower/tub and pedestal sink but worked well. The "continental breakfast" was pretty limited but adequate for what I usually eat for breakfast, yogurt, banana, a sweet roll and orange juice. It was a good room for the price.
There weren't any eating utensils in my room. The remote for the TV didn't work for channel changes and the old, single pane window in the bathroom was unlocked when I arrived. I wouldn't have noticed it if I hadn't specifically checked to make sure before leaving the room the first time.
For the money, this is an excellent place to stay if you are going to Ashland. Newly refurbished, clean, comfortable, and with an amiable and accommodating staff. The beds are great, the flat screen TV was appreciated, the art work was tasteful, as was the fresh paint and new carpeting. We had a lovely flock of small birds feeding outside our window all day.
There were no pots or pans for the kitchen and no iron. NO problem. They were HAPPY to provide whatever I needed. The shelves could use shelf liner but other than cookware, the kitchen was complete. They need to replace the door moldings that were removed when they re-plastered. Although I didn't mind not seeing them. But these all were minor details. It's a nice place to stay.
The place was very clean and we had no problems during our stay. Bed was comfortable and room was very clean. Very affordable and decent place to stay
The pool needs some work and the parking is a little tight
The staff is very nice and helpful, the room is clean and comfortable
The owners were so friendly and helpful. The motel is very clean. They even provide breakfast, all for a very affordable price. I recommend the Phoenix Motel.
I could have used more electrical outlets. It would have been nice to be able to take a bath instead of only having a shower. But these things are minor compared to the value.
Very comfortable room, 12 rooms have a kitchen with stove, fridge and microwave, very comfortable bed, welcoming owner, great value, highly recommended.
Large clean room, kitchen was a bonus. Location and breakfast were also great value. The owner went out if his way to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. This was a last minute booking driving back from Oregon but would definitely stay here again if in the area.
