Hotel staff was slow, unprofessional, phones did not work, when i called to book a reservation they said that there reservation people left so there was no way I could book...this was 6pm on a Saturday night...I had to use booking.com to book a reservation and when I showed up it took 25 minutes to finally get into the room.

The room is comfortable and well equipped, you are provided with coffee and tea, which is replenished daily. The staff are friendly and the cleaners are effective. The room is quite small, not a lot of room to move around once you put your suitcase down.

We had two rooms, for my mother and myself. It was close to the station which was brilliant. The evening check in person was lovely. I had asked for two rooms next to each other, and when I was there I asked if it was possible to have a room with a interconnecting door. He was great, he said sure, then went to check the room, and went to check that the interconnecting door was open. Really great, helpful service. My mother is in a wheelchair and whilst she can walk small lengths she can't do big walks, so it was nice to be able to make sure she was okay in her room etc. without having to go out in the corridor all the time. Perfect

I loved the location - practically across the street from Union Station! It was also within walking distance of many attractions. The room was was great; complete with a flat-screen television, a very comfortable bed, and lovely decor. I'll be staying here again next time I'm in DC.

The location was so convenient to Union Station. We unexpectedly had a 5th to our party, and the staff made an extra effort to get us a reasonably priced additional room on the same floor. The hotel restaurant was pretty mediocre.

We were traveling from Australia and we booked at last minute for trip to washington. The location was perfect close to transit centre. And walking distance The hotel was clean and room comfortable and supplies good We found the dinning area/the Dubliner pub disappointing, The staff were rude and not professional, would not be recommending this as a good Irish welcome as per the mission statement,

Location Be careful in the dining room/pub (the Dubliner). I mistakenly order some Irish whiskey. I was stupid not to ask for the price first (the menu list did not list prices). I figured maybe $10 bucks. Wrong I got the bill and it was $25. I checked with the waiter and he said it was correct. It was decent whiskey but I shda stuck with the Jameson. I guess another dumb Irishman got rolled in Washington. Live and Learn.. And stay from the Dubliner, it is a poor excuse for anything Irish, especially the food. .

“My boyfriend and I absolutely loved the Washington Plaza Hotel! Our room was very spacious and unbelievably comfortable; it far exceeded our expectations. We really liked that it was a short walk from the McPherson Metro Station, so it was very easy to commute to all of the major attractions, and it is also was conveniently located near a lot of restaurants and bars. All in all, the Washington Plaza was a great deal, especially for two college students looking to get away for the weekend! ” Lydia, North Bergen |
