Checked out Friday 31 with staff dressed for Halloween . Great fun and very helpful front desk team gave us directions for our sightseeing.
Location was awesome. Everything was close to this place. Staff was very helpful and accommodating.
Turn down service can be improved. A little bit of mint chocolate would be great.
- Incredibly small room for $200+/night. - $50 per night to park! - $4 for water (should be complimentary at those prices). - didn't clean bathroom AT ALL after our first night; just made bed - keys to room didn't work; no phones anywhere to call downstairs. Waited 15 minutes for fix when we were in a big hurry
There is much to like. The location on Capitol Hill, a block from Union Station, could not be better. Sparkling clean; friendly staff; quiet room; nice bed; great shower; nice robes, and large bath (too large really given how little room was left).
Small room (#301), even by New York or London standards, to the point of cramped. Bed and a small desk filled nearly all the livable space. Small chest of drawers and safe were placed in closet, filling nearly all the usable closet space. Could make do with 1 person, but 2 would have been very difficult.
The staff made every effort to accommodate my early check-in request. Highly recommend.
Close proximity to State Capitol.
Was charged for the room before I arrived.(Doesn't make sense to use your website if I can't pay later as promised) Also, made a one minute local call and was charged $1. Really?
Just a block and half from Union station, Capitol, Supreme Court, library of congress! My goodness! The hotel is clean, rooms are very well decorated and bathroom very modern. Staff and bellmen are wonderful people. Highly recommend this hotel.
The room was very quiet, the staff was very helpful, and we liked the Dubliner Restaurant. Wonderful location near the Capitol.
Room was a little small, and could use some updating
the for me perfect location close to union station and capitol, the size and facilities of room and bathroom, the view to the mainstreet without being bothered too much by traffic noise.
the strange smell in my room (cigarettes?)
Location, decor, fluffy robes & towels, in-room coffee, refrigerator
$4 bottle of water
Large comfortable room with good outlook over the Capital and National Mall. Excellent breakfast and evening meal menu in the attached restaurant and bar. Attentive and polite staff, one of the best hotels of the five we stayed in on our holiday in the USA.
There was nothing that we didn't like about this hotel.
Good sized room and good air conditioning unit. Rooms well cleaned and maintained. The Wifi broadband for computer worked very well. Good restaurant and bar facilities on ground floor. Staff were helpfull. A 'classy' establishment. We enjoyed our stay thankyou.
located in superb historical location at center of best sightseeing, transportation and leisure. Hospitality the best ever value for money. Environment best for leisure with well trained staff and best facilities. I felt protected and homely. No stress.
helpful staff at 5 min walk from museums, Capital and all you want to see in DC. No need for transportation (but if you need them, you are in front of the main station)
This is a great historic building in a great location and has potential. The front desk staff is excellent.
Housekeeping is spotty and the wifi doesn't work very well -- not at all in my room. The food at the restaurant was very salty and didn't seem fresh. No Comedy Central.
Very near to train-buses station, perfect for road trip. Very near to principal site to visit (Capitol Hill for example)
Nothing very negative.
Located across from Union Station Good meal facilities adjacent and nearby Close to attractions, Metro, Amtrak, and buses Lovely "historic" flavor in decor
Conveniently located - one block from Amtrak & Metro station, nearby restaurants, a few blocks from Capital & Smithsonian buildings. Staff was polite, friendly and helpful.
Somewhat noisy during the night (car horns, sirens, people on the street) - especially if you aren't accustomed to city life.
Nice hotel and its very near unioun metro
Reserved this for 163/night, An easy walk to the Capital and the mall; Union Station is across the street. Clean and quiet.
No place to park your car but found a few cheap places on ParkingPanda.
location is good near union station where you have a lot of option for food
Rooms are very neat and tidy, albeit a bit small. Location
Very rude staff at the front desk. Wasn't even greeted properly, they only asked for my ID and credit card. Did not even direct me to my room, just gave me the room number. Doorman did not even get the door, nor helped me with any of my luggage. Very small room, had in room WiFi advertised but did not have reception in the room though, when I complained I was just told to go and sit in the business center on the 9th floor. Very unhelpful staff which made absolutely no effort. Better service can be expected at Econo Lodge compared to this hotel.
Bed is very comfy.
All staff were very friendly and helpful, and "Jerry" was great with the luggage and our car. Thanks! The hotel was lovely, quaint, and so convenient for walking to the Capitol and all the museums. We also enjoyed the Dubliner restaurant.
