This is a great historic building in a great location and has potential. The front desk staff is excellent.
Housekeeping is spotty and the wifi doesn't work very well -- not at all in my room. The food at the restaurant was very salty and didn't seem fresh. No Comedy Central.
Very near to train-buses station, perfect for road trip. Very near to principal site to visit (Capitol Hill for example)
Nothing very negative.
Located across from Union Station Good meal facilities adjacent and nearby Close to attractions, Metro, Amtrak, and buses Lovely "historic" flavor in decor
Conveniently located - one block from Amtrak & Metro station, nearby restaurants, a few blocks from Capital & Smithsonian buildings. Staff was polite, friendly and helpful.
Somewhat noisy during the night (car horns, sirens, people on the street) - especially if you aren't accustomed to city life.
Nice hotel and its very near unioun metro
Reserved this for 163/night, An easy walk to the Capital and the mall; Union Station is across the street. Clean and quiet.
No place to park your car but found a few cheap places on ParkingPanda.
location is good near union station where you have a lot of option for food
Rooms are very neat and tidy, albeit a bit small. Location
Very rude staff at the front desk. Wasn't even greeted properly, they only asked for my ID and credit card. Did not even direct me to my room, just gave me the room number. Doorman did not even get the door, nor helped me with any of my luggage. Very small room, had in room WiFi advertised but did not have reception in the room though, when I complained I was just told to go and sit in the business center on the 9th floor. Very unhelpful staff which made absolutely no effort. Better service can be expected at Econo Lodge compared to this hotel.
Bed is very comfy.
All staff were very friendly and helpful, and "Jerry" was great with the luggage and our car. Thanks! The hotel was lovely, quaint, and so convenient for walking to the Capitol and all the museums. We also enjoyed the Dubliner restaurant.
Easy access to Union Station
Very small room
Everything is very good!
Location was perfect for arrival and departure from Union station and walking around the major sites!
Everything was really great! Staff was extremely helpful. Great Irish pub in the building. All the sights are in walking distance.
rooms are located over bar/restaurant. much too much street noise all night long.
Check in lady not very friendly. This was our second visit but next time will try somewhere else where staff a little more friendly. Pity that one lady can spoil an experience. We had fond memories of the hotel so a pity we returned
Convenient location to Union Square Station; very friendly and helpful staff.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. My husband and I loved staying in and "old" hotel that had been well-maintained and was beautifully decorated.
I wish the bathroom had a vanity rather than a pedestal sink. It was hard for me to spread my things out and get ready in the morning.
Rooms were clean and lovely. Free Wifi. Hotel is located direktly next to union station.
Staff was not too friendly. It is very expensive.
Sizeable room, good bed
Some noise from the street/restaurant
overall the hotel was nice, clean, bed was comfortable
i didn't like the fact that the hotel did not have my reservation upon our arrival. apparently booking.com didn't sent over our reservation and it caused me much embarrassment. the front desk manager began to talk about us like we werent there even though we were standing right in front of her. very very upsetting. the gentleman at the front desk was clearly frustrated by her actions as he was trying to help us. she then began to call other hotels to find a room. after i explained to her that that would be unacceptable we eventually checked our bags and proceeded with our day upset and disgruntled. upon our return to the hotel a room was available for us but for the time we were out in dc we where worried and wondering where we would be sleeping that night
The food smells coming from the pub in the lift
Location is everything. Excellent and unique restaurant.
Rooms are beautiful but very small.
