Score from 969 reviews Very good
Apart from breakfast, no food is offered and no in room dining service.
Room is spacious. Staff is friendly, easy walk to restaurants and shops.
It's quite pricey for what it is, but most things in SF are.
It was clean, the staff were very friendly, and the room was comfortable.
The noise and specially you can hear the foot steps of the room above you
Location, staff, breakfast and cleaning
Everyone at the hotel was very accommodating. We arrived a few hours before check in and they offered to keep our bags until check in. The room was super clean and the bed was amazing. This isn't really something we look for because I always travel with all of my own toiletries but they keep wonderful high end products in the rooms. We will definitely stay here again!!!
We had booked a two queen bed room but were put in a king room with 2 kids when we checked in at 4am. The person on duty wasn't very helpful and didn't greet us when we walked in. Our first night was therefore not very comfortable but the morning staff was very helpful and resolved the situation.
The beds were comfortable, the tv was a good size and worked well. The location was very convenient.
felt a big under maintained. The fabric on the sofa was torn and the foot stool had a fairly visible stain mark !
Good spacious room with all basic amenities and a comfortable bed
They do not make this apparent in the booking but they hold an extraordinary amount of money out of your account for a "deposit". I believe it was around $100 dollars a night. There was also a lot of refurb work going on on the floor above. Very load, but only during the day
Room and bed etc very nice and comfortable Location is great
Due to ongoing works there was no water between 11am-3pm which meant our room wasnt being cleaned until 5pm. More than once we were in the room when the maid turned up so we had to leave whilst she cleaned. Not a major problem but we did feel we should've had some sort of compensation for this. However we did complain about what sounded like a herd of elephants in room above and they did compensate this .
Staff were really friendly, very helpful when we asked where to visit, which sightseeing tour to take etc. Breakfast was delicious, definitely worth paying the extra to get it included as looked quite pricey to pay separately. Location couldnt be better, two blocks back from fishermans wharf main strip and about a 10minute walk to pier 39.
Surprised they didn't charge me for the toilet paper.. Least they could do is not charge for breakfast as long as you are a guest.. I get it, it's SF, but 45$ to park in the garage per night, total of 53$ for room occupancy tax, 23$ for breakfast per person $6.33 tax for self parking I mean come on!!! long story short, 400$ for two nights just for the room, and almost another 200$ for taxes and fees... Not that impressive of a hotel to be charging that much...
Location is excellent.
High parking fees and no microwave in room.
Large rooms, very nice furnishings, super comfortable beds. Great location -- only two blocks from Fisherman's Wharf. Free WiFi was a plus. Friendly staff. We would definitely stay there again on our next trip to San Francisco.
We got to the hotel late (around 7:30pm) because of a disastrous accident on the 101 freeway on the way there. If we had been on time we would have been there around 4:00pm. I had requested a third floor room or second floor and not facing the street. We were given, first floor, facing street! Nothing else available, sorry, out of luck! The people above us never went to sleep and was walking and thumping around all night, moving around so noisy. Street was very noisy, forget about sleeping in a bit! Then at the end, the bill had an "occupancy tax", "tourism tax" , "parking tax" on top of the parking fee!! I wish someone would have told me that third floor was under construction and not available at all!! Knowing about $100 in taxes would be nice to know as well. I wouldn't care if I had a "quiet" room and was happy with it!
The hotel was clean and quaint. In good location to walk everywhere.
street side room. asked to be moved and was accomidated. thanks
Some of the staff was unkind or seemed annoyed by questions and gave only minimal replies. Concierge service supposed to provide tourist information was also far from being kind and in addition gave us on two occasions inaccurate information. Reception blocked a guarantee deposit upon arrival on my credit card which amounted to twice the cost of the room and this resulted in my credit card being blocked.
Great location and facility
They are currently renovating the 3rd floor so the club room was not available, but we were provided with breakfast & drink vouchers that more than made up for it.
The hotel was clean & the staff was very nice. The breakfast was good & the staff was friendly. The location was within walking distance of many great tourist spots & 2 cable car stations.
The hotel needed much renovation. The breakfast food was cold and dry.
The hotel staff was very helpful. Its location was excellent. We had a very positive experience there.
The staffs are very helpful and the location is just perfect to go around major tourist locations in SF.
liked everything....nothing bad at all
The beds were very comfy!! We all slept very good :)
Breakfast and snack shop too pricey.
Location location location! Clean, friendly hotel. Very comfortable and relaxing
We had to get new door keys several times because they wouldn't work and we were stuck in the elevator till someone outside called for one.
The beds were fantastic
the staff at the reception aren't the most welcoming or knowledgable, no in room service available but you can order in via seamless/grubhub
good location, safe, quiet & clean and newly renovated rooms, amazing breakfast bar, wifi worked fine
Too much traffic noise, dustmen cleaning streets and emptying dustbins 4am every morning except Sunday
They're remodeling the hotel. It does need renovation. For example, one of the latches on our window was broken and street noise was very noticeable. Also, one day they had the water turned off for six hours.
The hotel is in an excellent location for enjoying lots of wonderful spots on the wharf and in the vicinity. Most of the time we walked to our destination. However, the trolley is near and Uber drivers were readily available when we ventured further.
Two negatives: 1) There were three different $$ rates for the 6 nights that we stayed. $150 difference from night to night! 2) They're (much needed) remodeling. One day we were without water for 6 hours. Ugh!
The location of this hotel is excellent! We walked almost everywhere. A couple times we called Uber. They were at the hotel within minutes.
