Heat was very hard to regulate. Either very warm or cold.
Large, clean, brightly lit rooms. Very warm friendly staff.
It smelled from stale smoke, they told me it was a king bed it wasn't only a queen at best. It clearly wasn't like the pictures. It was old and very dated. If hotel impossible could visit this place for improvements. It had your great great grandmothers dirty furniture in the lobby. One lamp didn't work and the shade was unable to be straightened. I paid $37.50 more than the price quoted by booking including the tax. I wouldn't recommend at all
Bathroom clean Sheets were clean
The beds are very hard and uncomfortable. The bathrooom needs updating. Some have been done, while others have not.
Staff is very friendly, good room rates and the room is clean
Good breakfast and NICE people
For my purposes, the residence is just fine.
The Wi-Fi on the outside from the central office could be improved. The further the room the weaker the signal.
Check-in was quick . Wife was pregnant and they set us up with a room on the first floor so she would not have to go up and down stairs. Breakfast was awesome as well. Cereal, bagels juice (apple orange) coffee English muffins and waffles all include
The staff was very helpful.
Hotel is right on 1. Room was spacious The AC unit goes on n off n is loud. If it stayed on its a nice drown out noise but the stop n starting is annoying n can disrupt sleep. Bed wasn't comfortable n sheet had a couple stains on sheets. Could b a nice place with a little more attention to the little things.
Hotel is right on 1. Room was spacious
Did not know that this hotel is an old Days Inn. Had to asked for a microwave and extra coffee. Breakfast is from 6:30 until 9:30 we went for breakfast nothing left but cereal. All the staff said was sorry. The motel was hard to find from the road.. Had to buy air freshener for room.
Receive a microwave and extra coffee.
decor dated, room needed painting, but the only thing that really bothered us was the last night, from midnight to 2 am, VERY LOUD guests outside our window, making it so we couldn't sleep. Why were they allowed to do that?
comfortable bed, large clean bathroom, good wifi, working tv, everything clean, helpful front desk, surprisingly good breakfast, great location, no noise from INSIDE other rooms
this place is a disgrace. I am sending pictures to the corporate office of our room, and the smoke detector battery beeped all night long we told them the next morning and when we came back that night it was still beeping, desk person couldn't fix it, we pulled it out of the ceiling so we couldl sleep.
good location, thats all I can say good about it. This place needs a total renovation.
No elevator! My suitcase was quite heavy to carry to an upstairs room.
Perfect location between old Saybrook and Westbrook for all my planned activities.
At the price under $100.00 this is a good place for a business traveler to stay. When the price soars higher as it is no doing, it makes more sense to stay at a luxury inn.
Breakfast was very disappointing. The coffee had powdered creamer only. The food (eggs, home fries, waffles) was cold. They ran out of plastic ware to eat with.
The flat screen tv.
location convenience value
The smoke smell in the bathroom required us to keep the bathroom fan on. The staff did offer to move us, we chose not to. Also, the exterior needs updating, there is a musty smell in the corridors, and there was no towel rack at the sink.
The staff was very nice! Good TV selection. The room was clean. I would stay here again.
Rooms could be updated. A little paint would help.
Convenient location to 95 and CT shoreline. Room was clean and staff was pleasant.
Old worn carpet and furnishings. Cheap fixtures.
This property is well-located and was clean. It is, however, very worn and shabby. There were good local restaurants nearby. It looks as if it's about to transition to the "weekly rental" market.
I never saw a hotel bathroom that bad. We put sandals to get in the bath. Not clean at all. Poor breakfast.
The owner is nice and really polite. A real gentleman.
The rooms could use some updating.
Location was excellent for our visit to our grandson's college. The Inn was close to restaurants and shopping.
If you expect a nice and cool hotel isn't that. But it values what you pay. For 50 dollars per night you can't pretend too much. A clean room. Big, an lcd TV and a private bathroom. It's a 2 stars hotel so remember this. Man at reception likeable and nice.
heater took a while to warm room
Clean, quiet, large rooms. Big flatscreen TV. Comfortable bed. CLEAN. Attentive and friendly staff striving to get good ratings. Great value.
Morning breakfast was ok, but could have been a little better. Did not like the selection of cereal.
Nice country like location. Super quiet at night. Went out the door in morning and was met by the songs of birds. Room was excellent in size. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Close to a lot of amenities.
