Unlike a hotel where there is a lot of bustling activity at all times, little children running about at all hours of the day & night, the Pilgrim House was more like being at home with your family. The owners are pleasant and we loved hearing their birds chirping!
Everything was wonderful. No complaints at all!
The Inn Keepers are very helpful and friendly. we loved the deck on the upstairs kitchen where we enjoyed looking at the beautiful sunset. You get a beautiful view of the entire town and the water! It's a stunning view!!
great location and friendly inn keepers
snacks and breakfast were not very original, interesting or home made
i like the cleanliness of inn
We did not like how the staff was rude. We walked in and Debbie did not greet us, just said its early we are not ready for you. We did not get to ask our question. also ignored us the next morning.
Location, bedroom, facilities
Breakfast - continental style breakfast
too much decoration for my taste

We loved the location and the friendliness of the staff.
Our room was on the first floor and it is a trek to the third floor breakfast room, albeit a wonderful view.A coffee pot on the main floor would be a great addition.
Innkeepers were very friendly and made us feel at home. Breakfast selection was good and tasty despite other reviews. Great location- restaurants and shops easily accessible. Will definitely be back
Our room was right in town and we were able to walk everywhere without moving the car. A BIG plus. The room was clean and spacious and perfect for an overnight stay.
It's a B&B so you expect the feeling of a home. This one is overstuffed with knick nacks and odds and ends. Nothing that would stop me from staying there again mind you. Just an observation.
The location was great, right in the middle of town, and an easy walk to restaurants and shops. The interior was full of stuffed rabbits.
The staff never introduced themselves and the woman at the front desk was cold and unfriendly. The shower was 30" square, there were mildew stains on the old linoleum, and the sink was miniscule. You could feel the wires under the sofa bed mattress. Our daughter found another place to stay because she couldn't sleep on it. The room smelled like old socks. Breakfast was ready-mades pastries and boiled eggs. All in all, this was a disappointment.
The location was perfect for exploring the seaside, getting to the mansions, dining, everything. The house was charming and the staff friendly although the front desk was often unmanned. The breakfast was also delicious with a huge variety of items.
The coffee was TERRIBLE, so weak it was undrinkable. And there was a slightly shabby quality to the furniture and bathrooms but it was all clean and the beds were great. And I appreciated the flat screen tv too.
Location was great Room was spotless, smelled fresh Outside deck gave way to a beautiful view of the water Many breakfast choices Parking off-site was free and easy to get to
There was nothing I didn't like. It's a well maintained and friendly Victorian bed and breakfast. Our lovely room was on the third floor and our clean bathroom has a great shower.
The staff is very helpful and the accommodations were excellent. It is a good location to waterfront and restaurants - walking distance.
Some traffic noise, as we were in the room in the front of the house.
Nice atmosphere, great location walking distance to everything we wanted to do in downtown Newport.
We would have liked a bigger breakfast selection.
Rooftop breakfast location overlooking the harbor. Baked items on the menu were delicious! Bed was comfy. If you are a B & B lover this place is for you. We walked everywhere from this location but did take our car for the mansions. Parking is a short few level blocks away near a quaint book store.
We were in Room #1 by the main entrance. All guests were very respectful of noise and we were able to sleep soundly. The bathroom, however,in this room is VERY small and takes a bit of manuevering. We had to keep our toiletries in the bedroom which is inconvenient but doable. The towels were plush, though, and we managed fine. A bit of humor helped the situation!
Location, cleanliness, comfortable, great rooftop, friendly helpful owner, available free parking a short walk away.
Staff breakfast and location
Very small shower Noise outside
As stated, the location was very good for anyone wanting to see Newport. Parking is free but a short walk away. Not good for people with mobility issues- cluttered and with steep stairs- or with a phobia about rabbits. They are everywhere- stuffed, stone etc . Fabulous deck for breakfast or a drink.
The decor- very chintzy and the clutter.

The house has a charming decor and our room was comfortable. It is a short walk to the wharf , shops and dining. The mansions are a little farther, but some are close enough to walk. The rooftop patio has a great view for late night sipping and early breakfast. Would go there again. Parking is a few blocks down, after unloading, in a church parking lot with reserved slots, no problem.
The outside eating terrace on the roof
Very friendly staff, great location within walking distance of everything. Very clean and a nice view from the roof deck. Tasty, home-baked goodies for breakfast!
Parking is a long walk away, and it is basic (not really a negative, it is a B&B afterall).
We stay here all the time. Very pleasant inn keepers; consistently clean and quiet. Nice rooftop deck, short walk to shops and restaurants.
walking distance from all shops and restaurants!
Bed was not as comfortable as I expected and the ac was not sufficient, maybe because we were on top floor! Breakfast was ok, but the view was nice in the morning. Overall we had fun!
