right on the beach, kitchen was good to have so we didn't have to eat out all the time.
the bed seemed a little hard for my liking but was ok
Great resort amenities. Warm pool water.
Brown ocean water, dirty pool bathrooms, rude stuff, uncomfortable bed. Expensive kids breakfast.
everything about the place is just first class, hence our 5th visit.
Truly, nothing to dislike.
Great customer service!! Perfect view of the beach and ocean.
They thought I stole their pool towels and charge me a lot of money. No items were taken by any member of my family
Having a dry towel at all times was a huge perk! Great pools. Wonderful breakfast.
For anyone with a toddler you know the importance of naps. This created a problem with house keeping. Next time I will request earlier morning service to avoid the issue.
We had a lovely stay at the Pink Shell resort. The staff and facilities were good. Be aware that there are three different buildings within the resort of differing age and standard.
The older building is a bit tired looking. WiFi is a bit patchy.
The staff was very helpful. Room and view was beautiful. Nice to have the beach right there and chairs with umbrellas all set up. The pool was exceptionally nice. We usually stay in town, but I wanted to be right on the beach this time. We will definitely be back.
The waiter at Bongos was very slow. Also, at Jacks restaurant on our last morning there, the hostess wanted to place us at a small table. When I requested a window seat as the place was not crowded she looked around and with a bit of hesitation said okay. Just because you don't have a crowd doesn't mean you shouldn't sit with a nice view as well.
have nothing to write on this page
The location to beach was great. Nice sunsets, lots of sand dollars and shells. This place is really for families with small children. Also, not a deal breaker but they use a very string deodorizer in the lobby. Feel like it's meant to cover an old smell. We ended up smelling like it whenever we left the property.
Resort fee is supposed to cover 2 free welcome drinks. They add them to your bill and it's problematic getting them off. The front desk staff doesn't seem to know how to handle anything that isn't routine. The hotel is dated but they cover it up fairly well. The rooms are nice, but not worth what we paid.
room and eating areas
really nice place and clean and friendly staff. Best in the area. Beautiful sunsets and very organized
The sunset dolphin cruise was a bust. Don't go on it. We saw a dolphin in the distance at end but not worth the money. Also our complimentary drink was one drink and smoothie. total of 13.00 but we were still charged 6.95 on checkout for drink.
The friendliness of the staff, as well as their eagerness to assist me when asked, was impressive. The accommodations were excellent, the beach was amazing, and I will be back! I highly recommend this resort!
The staff and service was excellent. Such a friendly group of people. It was my family's second year there, and we enjoyed ourselves!!
The kitchen had a few minor hiccups. But not enough to disappoint my stay.
Resort is setup for kids. The kids on the floors above us opened and closed the hurricane sliders over a hundred times a day.
Beach and Pool
Loved the initial service. (I was not pleased when I left). The view and hotel location are excellent. My kids loved the three pools. Parking was sufficient and the walk to the beach was great. Not too long! The beach and pools never seemed crowded. In fact at times we could have a pool to ourselves!
There was a discrepancy between my booking.com bill and what the resort charged. Still not yet resolved. The hotel staff brushed me off and I left upset. The kids splash pool was not always turned on. Towels were hard to find and I'd like to see the special events (sundaes, kids crafts) offered more than once a day. We missed them all due to the times they were offered.
Situated on a beautiful white sandy beach, and a 10 minute walk to Times Square (shops, restaurants ...). Jetski tour to see dolphins is a must.
The Pink Shell is a wonderful resort in a beautiful setting. The staff is very professional and helpful. We will be back!
Noisy elevator across from room! Rm 2109
Great hotel with, for the most part, great people.
The restaurant policy is BS. We had three couples every morning for 7 days. they have a policy where they will not seat you unless everyone is present. Even though, at 8 AM, the place was, for the most part, empty and all of us were with 5-10 minutes arriving. Even when we made it an issue, they would first seat us at a table for two, then two, until everyone arrived and then they would allow us to move to a table for six. One morning when I was late, they actually removed a chair from a table for six because I was late (as if it mattered). We actually reported a person to management when that occurred due to a bad attitude. for this reaqson alone, we would not come back. Also, to no fault of the hotel, they have a severe traffic problem. One bridge in, same bridge out. Everyday we got into an hour plus traffic jam getting back to the hotel (from golf). One day we came back the beach way, it took an hour and 20 minutes to go 1 and 1/4 miles (from the hotel). This is another reason we would not go back. The first issue is avoidable and should not occur (their problem is that their room although large is not large enough) and they should have some common sense and be a little flexible. The traffic issue needs to be resolved through the city somehow. Jim Rice
