Score from 37 reviews Very good
Everything! It was boisterous enough to be fun when you wanted to have a little bit of roudy fun, but quite enough in the room that it didnt disturb you when you wanted to quitely relax. I absolutely loved the place!
Breakfast is not included... they have a wide variety of items to choose from in the gift shop at really decent prices tho.
Balcony water view, access to nearby park, fun bars
Despite multiple requests no repair of broken room phone (not needed, but would like it working for any emergency), broken TV remote.
The hotel and the settings were very nice. Great restaurant's in walking distance.
No breakfast available at hotel.
Hard to find a more convenient location to Hinckley marina... With a restaurant and bar... And walking distance to good restaurants.
Noisy air con. Checked in late and desk clerk was hiding in a locked office with no note or sign? Said it was for security?
Everything - the location, the building, the view over the harbour, the cute bar and restaurant, the spacious room, the very warm and welcoming manager... stay here for a real rest!
Nothing. It was superb.
Nice docks and dock personnel. The fuel attendant , Dave, was very helpful and congenial.
We stayed awiting the completion of a refurbishing of a boat and had to stay there two different times. The first reservation took 27 minutes on my phone since I was constantly being put on hold. Finally she took my name and telephone number and said she would call me back for the credit card but assured me we had the rooms reserved. When we showed up the rooms were not as promised but I goes a handicap room instead. The toilet was filthy with a brown and yellow ring around the inside bowl. The floors were dirty and the tv was broken but they did send security personnel to replace it. They still use bedspreads which are not used very often because they are rarely cleaned and usually not to sanitary. When I told the desk clerk the next morning he just shrugged his shoulders. The good is horrible. I ordered nachos for a first course and they came out ridiculously soggy and had to be eaten with a fork if you wanted them. No use complaining here either. I ordered an entre and received an entire different one with overly deep fried shrimp that was somewhat hard. Admittedly, the second trip there to pick up the boat for our trip, proved to be a better experience. Lunch was again barely palatable and we went to another restaurant for dinner was excellent. We left at 6 am and a different clerk was pleasant along with the dock master and fuel attendant. When going by boat your options are very limited as to where to stay. The general appearance of the hotel and rooms need to be updated.
Lodging at Pirates Cove was Excellent ! Resturant and clean , Quiet rooms with beautifu views of the water
The view from my room was beautiful.
The room was far from clean. There was visible dirt on the floors, dried blood or chocolate on the interior room door, hair in the bathtub, and what appeared to be lotion or conditioner that started to dry on the bathroom door. They also needed to dust the furniture. For the prices they charge, I expected much more.
food was good, front desk very informative, bartender very good
air condition very noisy did not sleep at all!!!!
The restaurant staff were great. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The cleaning staff did an excellent job. We didn't have a car, but didn't need one because every thing we needed was there. Liked the pool and tiki bar areas. Our 2nd room was very comfortable.
The front staff could be a lot friendlier and more helpful. We ended up having three issues within our four night stay. Our air conditioner was not working properly and the room was very uncomfortable. After reporting it to the office they sent up 2 men, both agreed it was not working properly. Later a gentleman returned to look at the unit. He said he reset it and turned it off. We were instructed to wait ten minutes and turn it back on. It still didn't cool. We notified the office and were told, " we are full and I don't know how to say this, but you can tough it out or you can check out." The next day we reported it to the office and were told they would be moving us to a room a few doors down and they would contact us. We spent the morning in the room waiting and wasting vacation and sunshine. We finally asked the office to contact us on our cell phone so we could enjoy some time at the pool. At 3:00 we still hadn't received a call so we returned to the office. At that time we were told that the unit had been changed and it should really be pumping out cold air. We returned to our room only to find no change at all. At that time they changed our room. The next day the pool was closed because they did some painting. I asked office when I could expect it to reopen and was told, " I really can't say, it's not to sunny out so it could be awhile." I happened to run into one of the gentleman I spoke with the night before concerning our air condition problem and he said give it 30 more minutes. When I went to the office to print our boarding passes the printer wouldn't print. I asked the person at the front desk if it was working and I got a long story about it was acting up the day before and all computers were very slow and she thought it has something to do with the weather.
Everything except not being able to enough your own balcony with a cup of coffee and a cigarette
location close to other things we like nice room, great views from room
need to update there in room guides of things the menu of the restaurants at the resort the prices are different they seem to be an older menu, prices are less in the room guide than the restaurant
Great place to stay, especially if you like fishing. Resort is consolidated with everything you need for that purpose. Have stayed there numerous times and would recommend to anyone.
Like life people are different. some staff were great, but there were more that were just not happy at their work
unable to smoke on your balcony, but people sitting/walk directly below you and anywhere else in the resort can. Fumes from the boats drifting into your room.seems a bit silly not allow smoking
Been a regular there and live only 40 minutes away, but enjoy the down time there.......We travel by land and water.....Resort and Marina staff I would give a good/excellent rating but restaurant I would not....see what I didn't like
The service is the bar area always seems to be a bit slow, sometimes not the friendliest bar staff on inside. .......have to go to bar and get refills quite often even if it's water or a coke or a cocktail......They don't follow up on your table often enough. Food menu overpriced for the quality of the food... Often leave to eat elsewhere (sometimes just around the corner) and return to enjoy resort .....
Location and view
The AC unit noisily went on and off at least 35 times during the night and woke us up numerous times.
food was great and service, love the location
key lime pie was too sweet
This is the area of Stuart I want to move to and before this November 2014
Nothing to not like !
The staff was amazing. Especially Jen D. our waitress. She made the trip really special for our 2&3 year old. We will be back . The food was sooo good and having your own balcony was nice .
Te room a little dusty but its a relaxed beach town. Didn,t bother us.
\room was clean and comfortable, dockage for our boat was excellent
If you are traveling by boat and need a place to stay that has everything: restaurant, hotel, fuel and ship's store, well this is the place in Stuart.
It was conveniently located for us, for a quick weekend getaway.
Not being boaters or big drinkers, there wasn't much for us to do. It was nice to relax but didn't find it to be a very exciting place.
The Location is just Great. A very nice hotel, tucked away off the beaten path next to a beautiful marina. They also had great entertainment by the outside bar. The upstairs bar also had a great band and iced cold beers. Just a great place.
Rooms were spacious. Restaurants on property.
No hot breakfast available there or with in walking distance. Arrived early told room ready but wasn't able to have room until closer to 4.
