Friendly staff at the desk. Perfect location; easy walk to most main attractions.
Breakfast was rather bleak and seemed to run out of many items with still another half hour to go. Breakfast staff din't seem concerned regarding this.
A hotel room, is basically about a place to sleep. When traveling good rest is so essential. The bed sagged, and every time we moved it creaked. The room was extremely overpriced for a bad bed. The hot items for breakfast were cold and stale on a day the hotel was packed.
My husband and I always stay here and we love it! The location is fabulous and the staff is so great. The rooms are older but very clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting historic Savannah!
Excellent location for visiting Savannah - just 2 streets from the waterfront and round the corner for the trolley stops. Enjoyed the free wine and cheese during the week
Unfortunately there was a problem with the hot water for most of our stay but we were given 25% off our bill, so decided to stay as we'd researched the hotel beforehand and wished to stay
I was please with every aspect of our stay at Planters Inn.
I have no dislikes
Paying an extra fee for parking on top of the room rate
Beautiful Reynolds square out the front door
great location excellent value good breakfast choices morning newspaper Tom the doorman
The concierge who poured the wine (5:30-7:30pm happy hour) expecting tips, was not cool.
Really liked the location and the staff very friendly. Wine and cheese nice touch and the buffet breakfast was excellent.
Not enough seating in the breakfast room, was too crouded and had to wait for table and the tables were way too close to each other. Felt like I was having my breakfast with strangers. Need to expand that space. Also some noise from the street noted but not awful.
Planters Inn is beautifully situated in the historic district of Savannah near fantastic restaurants, shops, river market area and the city market; all within easy walking distance. Would definitely return to this Inn again
Staff very friendly. Breakfast excellent and clean and a good night sleep
Friendly staff. Clean. Close to the river, shops, restaurants, etc. Loved exploring Savannah and this was a great starting point every day.
Unable to find the concierge to book anything. Also, had no hot water for first three days we were there due to a major problem with the boiler.
Looked great but didn't get to stay there as no hot water and couldn't get it fixed until Tues. We arrived on Sunday and they sent us to the Holiday Express which was really nice but modern and we had wanted the Planters experience.
Very nice location. Very helpful staff. Lovely complimentary wine and cheese 5-7. Easy access to most of Savannah's sites. A great alternative for the convention center.
The location, friendliness of staff, and cleanliness of facitlies were all very nice.
The price for a Queen room was exorbitant considering the extremely small size, and the continental breakfast was inedible aside from a very few fresh fruit options.
Excellent location and very nice and helpful staff.
Rooms are a bit small.
Evening wine & cheese; helpfulness of bell staff; valet parking; general location; bathroom layout.
Street noise; internet access complexity; no self-service ice; no refrigerator in room; no desk in room; limited space; no help in unloading luggage from car.
Staff is helpful Location is good Good value for money
Breakfast room is a bit dark and small
Great place, great location
We loved being right downtown in the heart of Savannah. We walked out the door and the culture and history were there. Very friendly staff. Would go there again without a doubt.
Location, friendliness and helpfulness of staff.
Price was a little high.
Location was great. Could walk everywhere. Bellhop, Sam, was very kind and gracious. Wine and cheese reception was a nice touch and the piano player added to the ambiance. The servers in the breakfast room was friendly and attentive.
Parking was valet only and pricey. Upon check in, we were told our credit card was declined, which was not true and embarrassing. We checked with our card company and it appears it was the terminal at the front desk which was the problem and not our card. I got the feeling the hotel just didn't want to pay the excess fees that American Express charges and they were hoping we'd use a Visa card instead. We were in room 203 and the bed was so bad that we requested a room change after the second night. Our second day was in our new room (503) and we spent it sleeping to make up for the lack of sleep the night before. The bathroom vanity was small and the view from both rooms was of the parking garage. The concierge who hosted the wine and cheese reception was not very welcoming or friendly. The breakfast room was too small for the number of guests. We had to come down a second time to find a seat. Overall, for the price, we felt cheated.
Your location was perfect and enables our entire family to see and enjoy Savannah at our leisure. We were treated so very nicely and will remember our visit with such fond memories. Thank you!
the guests that you attract! Karen O. gave us so many great ideas on what to do and where to eat, she was excited to help us in anyway she can. all of the staff and the hotel was beyond our hopes.!
Pillows, and it took a long time to get hot water for my shower.
