Recently updated, overall score does not reflect true quality. Friendly and attentive staff, nice rooms, comfy bed and amazing views of the city. Strongly recommend, especially if looking for a fun night out on the town. Will be back soon.
Got a phone call at 8 am and knock on the door even though had do not disturb sign up... Must have been a mistake of some kind.
Free breakfast good location good staff
The carpet looks old smell old the water pressure was very low at floor 17 and you can hear everyone talking in the next room and outside the room
Parking a hassle, too expensive, took FOREVER for hot water for a shower
I had rented 3 rooms and I will include all here. 1 Room heat did not work. My room they cleaned and took all the towels after the first night and did not replace so 3 guys had 1 hand towel. Calls to desk did not help. One room was not ready for check in at 7:00 at night and the desk clerk just kept parroting "Its alright!". It was not. Move up to the manager whose sage advice to my nephew was to not kill anyone that night!! Have a good night would have been better.
hard bed but biggest problem was it was 80 degrees in the room and they claimed they couldn't do anything about
Location, staff, amenities
The food at the hotel is the worst I have ever had- so much so- they tried to create a fancy menu with big words to describe less than desirable plane food. I tried the wolverine burger the first night. Ordered medium and received tartare. The fries were so salty- I had to buy several glasses of water (yes I said buy). Okay-I'm more of an opportunist-so I ordered breakfast (the vegetarian frittata) with breakfast potatoes. Hmm. The eggs were so over cooked, they had to fold the frittata into more of a napkin in order to hide the burned pieces. No one should ever put liquid goat cheese in anything that was merely an omelet reject and don't get me stared on the tomato aoli- puke. Breakfast potatoes were burnt and I said that's it- this hotel needs a chef to come in and take over. At the bar- we were taking bets to see what people thought about the food they ordered. I won't go into anymore of that... Also, on a big day for college football, the bar could have been open before 4pm- that wasn't fun.
Every single staff member I encountered was fantastic...freindly, polite and eager to please...the friendliness I encountered made the stay worthwhile
The 30 minute wait to get warm water to the room...if you wanted to shower at 8am,you had to start running the hot water at 7:30. That is no exaggeration
Holy cow, what comfortable beds!! Room was clean and comfy, staff were friendly and helpful, location is excellent- mere steps from cobo, Joe Louis Arena, and the beautiful river walk.
Though the bathroom was nice, the shower took forever to warm up. I let it run for five (wasteful!) minutes, and when the temp didn't budge, I gave up and began the most uncomfortable shower of my life. Thank goodness it finally warmed up- after about 10 minutes. I told the front desk staff about the issue. Apparently, it happens.
- excellent location - good breakfast - friendly staff - spacious rooms
- room needs a bit of refurbishment, in particular bathroom - noise from ventilation at night
I loved the staff. They were very pleasant & helpful. The complimentary breakfast was wonderful & delicious butt grandson did not like eggs.
View dining at the top bellmen Coupons for parking check in staff waitresses and waiters were happy welcoming
Buffet food awful bell people could use a little more polish uniforms look like factory workers Carpets in bedroom dirty bathroom way to small very tall chairs in top restaurant blocked view we moved them
Close to all downtown attractions and people mover.
Vaila parking was too expensive.
Definitely get ur bang for the money you pay
Breakfast is garbage
The staff was very helpful and accommodating to our needs. We needed maintenance for a room, but they responded quickly and resolved our matters accordingly.
Proximity to downtown venues for restaurants, shows and sporting events.
Some noisy guests. Small bathroom.
The location was perfect
As I checked in for my room, the lady representative held me up indicating she was unsuccessful finding my reservation. Once I finally reached my room, I spoke with the manager for an upgrade because the room detail wasn't as indicated on the description. He placed me on hold and never retrieved the phone line. He offered an upgrade but never called my room back even after I hung up waiting on his return. Sad service !!
staff, location, rooms, bathroom, location, valet
small beds, noisy, temperature controls
The rooms were really nice and the staff was really friendly. The breakfast was really nice as well.
I didn't like that the rooms that state 2 full beds are actually 2 twin beds.
Comfortable bed, coffee/tea in room. Good shower/bath products.
Tiny bathroom, not in the best condition, scruffy looking when you took a closer look, view over a dirty parking lot, stains on carpet, the free WiFi was so slow it was useless, I couldn't even access my flight reservations from my own laptop. Overpriced hotel.
in downtown, near to the river, good view to the river and canada, good bar, breakfast and dinner, fast valet parking, near to station peoplemover, nice room, excellent price/performance ratio for place and view compared with other hotels
not possible to book a certain room (even if it is free in the desired period and you pay in advance), on day of checkin you get what is left, not possible to open a window in the room to get fresh air, noise during the night caused by air con or construction area (dindn't feagure out), sleeping for me only possible with ear plug
I LOVED MONIQUE, THE LADY AT THE FRONT DESK. SHE MADE OUR STAY SO WONDERFUL. HELPED US WITH OUR CAR ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE FOOTBALL GAME. GAVE US A RIVER SIDE ROOM, FREE BREAKFAST & DRINKS FOR OUR ANNIVERSARY. EXPLAINED THE PEOPLE MOVER TO US SO WE DIDN'T HAVE TO DRIVE ANYWHERE. WONDERFUL PERSON!!!!!!
SHOWERS AND BATHROOM VERY SMALL FOR THE SIZE OF THE ROOM
Great view.roomier.and within walking distance of many things. Good food in Jefferson house.
Cost per night I thought high.bathroom way to small.
The rooms were beautiful and I enjoyed the extras in the room.
I was expensive I feel if you pay that much for one night , either 1 day of parking should be included or breakfast.
The beds were the wonderful. Best night sleep I have had in a long time. Friendly staff. Close to people mover. Beautiful view of the river.
Did not enjoy being stopped by an employee asking I assist with housekeeping unionize compounded by the fact 1 day the room went unserviced however in the defense of housekeeping I asked she come back 2x
