Restaurant dining was enjoyable.
Waiting for our reserved room was a schedule inconvenience.
Close to most things downtown.
Little things in the room were broken or looking a bit worn.
The treatment by all of the staff is amazing.
Location, service, atmosphere and surrounding view.
Mattress, food and parking fee.
Nice, but showing signs of wear.
Location was amazing!!! The room was nice view was awesome as well
The bathroom was extremely small and the shower had soap scum built up on it and looked like it had hair left in it. Not very clean. The restaurant service was terrible.
PricLocation. Great staff. Price
Location and nice staff.
You guys charged my credit card over $400 extra for an accident in the. Unfortunetly, I dropped a dumbell which then bounced and hit a mirror. The mirror that broke I was charged for. It was a true accident and people would think a 4 star hotel could cover it or be insured for situations like that. We visit Detroit 3 times a year and will never stay there again for that reason.
Friendly and effective staff, super views overlooking the river. Decent bar and restaurant by the lobby. After the WiFi had been playing up I was given complementary breakfast alongside a profuse apology, well handled.
Occupancy tax is a stupid concept, I wouldn't book the room if I didn't intend to occupy it, and I despise hidden charges. Also, Valet parking is $25 a day, which ought to be either included, published or at least given a discount. It's Detroit, you will quite likely be with car...
Restaurant in the hotel was amazing. Friendly staff.
Trying to find where we were supposed to park. Very confusing.
Location was great
It took over an hour for the valet to get our car.
Recently updated, overall score does not reflect true quality. Friendly and attentive staff, nice rooms, comfy bed and amazing views of the city. Strongly recommend, especially if looking for a fun night out on the town. Will be back soon.
Got a phone call at 8 am and knock on the door even though had do not disturb sign up... Must have been a mistake of some kind.
Pleasant view and a nice bed.
My room got double booked somehow. The staff was immediately ready to downgrade me from a king to a queen because there were to Kings available. I was assertive and demanded my King... Magically a King opened up. Be aware and assertive.
Free breakfast good location good staff
The carpet looks old smell old the water pressure was very low at floor 17 and you can hear everyone talking in the next room and outside the room
Parking a hassle, too expensive, took FOREVER for hot water for a shower
I had rented 3 rooms and I will include all here. 1 Room heat did not work. My room they cleaned and took all the towels after the first night and did not replace so 3 guys had 1 hand towel. Calls to desk did not help. One room was not ready for check in at 7:00 at night and the desk clerk just kept parroting "Its alright!". It was not. Move up to the manager whose sage advice to my nephew was to not kill anyone that night!! Have a good night would have been better.
hard bed but biggest problem was it was 80 degrees in the room and they claimed they couldn't do anything about
Location, staff, amenities
The food at the hotel is the worst I have ever had- so much so- they tried to create a fancy menu with big words to describe less than desirable plane food. I tried the wolverine burger the first night. Ordered medium and received tartare. The fries were so salty- I had to buy several glasses of water (yes I said buy). Okay-I'm more of an opportunist-so I ordered breakfast (the vegetarian frittata) with breakfast potatoes. Hmm. The eggs were so over cooked, they had to fold the frittata into more of a napkin in order to hide the burned pieces. No one should ever put liquid goat cheese in anything that was merely an omelet reject and don't get me stared on the tomato aoli- puke. Breakfast potatoes were burnt and I said that's it- this hotel needs a chef to come in and take over. At the bar- we were taking bets to see what people thought about the food they ordered. I won't go into anymore of that... Also, on a big day for college football, the bar could have been open before 4pm- that wasn't fun.
Every single staff member I encountered was fantastic...freindly, polite and eager to please...the friendliness I encountered made the stay worthwhile
The 30 minute wait to get warm water to the room...if you wanted to shower at 8am,you had to start running the hot water at 7:30. That is no exaggeration
Holy cow, what comfortable beds!! Room was clean and comfy, staff were friendly and helpful, location is excellent- mere steps from cobo, Joe Louis Arena, and the beautiful river walk.
Though the bathroom was nice, the shower took forever to warm up. I let it run for five (wasteful!) minutes, and when the temp didn't budge, I gave up and began the most uncomfortable shower of my life. Thank goodness it finally warmed up- after about 10 minutes. I told the front desk staff about the issue. Apparently, it happens.
- excellent location - good breakfast - friendly staff - spacious rooms
- room needs a bit of refurbishment, in particular bathroom - noise from ventilation at night
I loved the staff. They were very pleasant & helpful. The complimentary breakfast was wonderful & delicious butt grandson did not like eggs.
