The room had everything you needed. Clean, modern and comfortable. TV and Ipod player were nice touches. Shared bathroom really clean, modern with a rainfall shower. Always a bathroom available, the light system above your hotel room door worked well to tell when it was free. Staff really helpful, great suggestions, they even organised a surprise bottle of wine on arrival in my room as a birthday treat at my sister's request! Fabulous location, walking distance to Rockefeller centre/Radio City. Near a subway station. Lots of places to eat nearby and staff on hand to give recommendations. Free wifi was great- I even was able to print out my boarding pass in the lobby after checking in- amazing! The only negative comment I have is minor- the elevators ping really loudly every time they arrive at a floor- quite disturbing late at night- if they could turn this off after say 9pm, then the hotel would be perfect!

Staff are extremely helpful and polite. Free WIFI throughout the hotel. Clean rooms. Shared bathrooms were spacious and always clean, never any trouble finding one that wasnt in use. Great location, near enough to walk to almost all the cities attractions, but also away from the direct hustle and bustle. Quiet location so sleeping was not a problem. Cafe served drinks and breakfast which was good value. nothing at all, great hotel which I would recommend to people over and over again.

There were only 3 things i liked about this hotel: The entrance (Lobby) The roof terrace The garden area I'm not sure how the POD gets away with calling this place a hotel. Their website totally over exaggerates the size of the whole hotel. Our room can only be described as a small dog kennel or even a prison cell. We stayed in room 1420 (twin bunk) on the 14th floor. There was not enough room to lay out 2 average sized suit cases on the floor. One of us had to be lying on the bed if the other was getting dressed. None of the lights were dim-able as advertised on their website, the i-pod docking station wasn't working and the aircon gave off an awful smell when it was switched on. In fact, the smell kept aggravating my husband asthma. The room had a horrible brown itchy carpet, white walls and navy blue bedding, so once again, not what the website advertised! Whilst I don't mind sharing a bathroom, I do mind sharing it with 25 other rooms. There were 2 tiny bathrooms for the whole floor, and they were constantly occupied. After the guests had showered, there was water everywhere. I didn't like that at all, especially when the bottom of my trousers kept getting soaked! One of the bathrooms wreaked of sewage all of the time. Last but not least, the whole hotel (apart from the rooms) was unbearably hot. There is no aircon on the landings or in the lifts and I felt physically sick on some occasions, especially when taking the lift with other guests. 4 nights - $800 - rip off!!!

Location The cost was exhorbitant for the level of hotel. The cheapest rooms were either shared dormitory or shared bathroom so in order to have own bathroom the cost was exceptional @ $300 per night plus taxes.

Hotel was welcoming with a good atmosphere reception area. I really liked the modern decor in the rooms and public areas. Room was expensive but not by new York standards and was as good as more expensive hotels in the city. It was great that we could get a bagel and coffee before we hit the streets. I had no reason for complaint.

It was in the heart of Manhattan and yet away from the noise and bustle of the city. Twas an easy walk to the city attractions. The staff were very friendly and accommodating esp'ly the doormen(Rafael) when my shuttle bus was late for my pick up from hotel to the airport.

The pod hotel was bright, friendly and really funky! It's in a great location; just a few blocks from 5th Avenue shops an bit far to the subway or Grand central. Will definitely be returning!

Relaxed, loose atmosphere. Grenola breakfast very yummy! Shared bathrooms no problem at all, very clean. Employees very friendly. Very close to several subwaylines. Room cleaned, beds made up and fresh towels every day. No street noise (we weren't on the streetside, but the street is quite calm anyway). Beds and pillows are quite hard.

Efficient use of space in relatively small rooms through use of cleverly thought out modern fittings. Well located for restaurants, theatres, shopping. Rooms really are quite small (hence the hotel name!).
