Score from 183 reviews Very good
It was hard to find using address only. Breakfast room was much too small for the demand.
Clean and comfortable and quiet.
Far away from downtown Portland or any of the attractions.
staff was nice
Breakfast wasn't great unless you love carbs.
loud noise appliances not working walls peeling no screens on windows
Did not like, Room stunk, pillows no good, no hair dryer, had to ask for more shampoo. Breakfast, no fruit, nowhere to sit, poor food selection and taste
Cleanliness of rooms Lots of parking
Warn and 2nd rate building maintenance Broken down wrecked car stored in parking lot OVER CHARGED FOR ROOM AND WAS GIVEN RUN AROUND, COST ME EXTRA $25 PER NIGHT FOR 3 NIGHTS
When we opened the hide a bed there was fresh mouse droppings on the mattress. Totally disgusting. But we had the kids sleep with us because we didn't have a sheet for the soiled mattress. Also the ice machine wasn't working and it had been 90 degrees in Portland that day. Hotel had an off odor. Wasn't bad but wasn't great.
Common areas are very worn, carpets dingy, wrecked car stored in parking lot offers sketchy view of hotel. Hotel unwilling or staff unable to make adjusts reservations made by booking.com .
In our 8 days of travel in Oregon this was the most expensive hotel we booked and the worst hotel I've ever stayed at.This property is in sad shape. Duct tape holding the wallpaper down above the shower. Rust and mold in several places. No sink stopper. No TV remote. Ice machines not working. The pool is missing part of its stairs and the bottom of the pool feels like there is sand or gravel. The continental breakfast is substantially inadequate. The location of the hotel seems to be a rougher part of town and we did not feel safe. I would Never stay here or recommend to anyone I cared about.
For what we paid, we were very disappointed in our stay and would not recommend this hotel. When we got there, the clerk at the desk was rattled and gave us bedding for a third person in the room - which we had never booked. There was only my husband and myself staying. The carpets had also recently been cleaned in the entire hotel - and the chemical smell was so STRONG that my throat swelled and I barely slept all night. The wallpaper in the room was peeling off in various places and it looked like black mold in the window (room 408) under the peeled wallpaper. The stopper was also missing from the sink so the water splashed all over the place when the sink was on. The TV choices were also horrible - only about 5 channels came in and there was no ability to watch any rental movies, etc. We were very disappointed in this hotel and will never return.
Beds were comfortable In a quiet area Outside of property well cared for
Price was double what room value is Both ice machines out of service Breakfast room too small, not able to get in due to lineup in hallway Older worn out round screen TV
The lobby was nice. Bed and pillows comfortable.
Location stated it was 7miles from the venue we were going to. It was actually more like 25miles. The hotel lost the reservation and it took 25 minutes to check in. Bathroom floor was dirty. Wallpaper was peeling off the walls. Table was sticky. We stayed 2 nights. Room service never restocked the coffee bar in our room. Continental breakfast was extremely lacking. And the ice machine on our floor didn't work. They advertised vending machines on each floor, but that was not true. I have stayed in much nicer hotels for much less money. We will never stay there again. I just wish I could get my money back for lying about what they offered. It absolutely sucked
the desk manager was rude, they had oversold and gave me a take it or leave it regarding not having the king suite I reserved, got a room with 2 queens instead, I am 6'7" but that's beside the point, she was rude and complaining and slow to help because she had other distractions and had been "on her feet 9 hrs"
The rooms were clean.
Wallpaper taped with packing tape. Wallpaper peeling off the walls, holes in walls, carpet filthy in breakfast room, we were told breakfast was until 9:30 but it was only until 9 causing us to miss breakfast. TV only had 10 channels and not even local channels. Terrible neighborhood. Smashed up van parked in the parking lot. Very run down and not worthy of the Guesthouse Suites name.
When we got there, they didn't have our rooms reserved, and they tried to tell us they were booked and to send us else where. We asked for additional towels for one of the rooms, were told they would be right up, called the front desk a half hour later and were told, quite rudely, "I'm the only one down here, so I will get them when that changes or you come get them yourself!" there was an altercation because of a wedding party booked on the same floor as us, and they called one of my rooms at 2am in the morning, because our party was the only black party in the hotel, to ask if we were brawling in the hall way and to keep it down. We were there for a women's church retreat. The sheets were dirty, the rooms had cob webs in them, half of the lamps in one of our rooms did not work, and the wifi did not work. It was an awful experience. We will definitely not be staying there next year.
Friendly receptionist, clean, tidy with good facilities
Ice machines both down but ice provided at desk on request.
It was located close to our daily destinations. It was inexpensive.
Arrived and first room we were assigned said no smoking but the entire floor smelled like smoke, room included. We asked for a new room got it. That room smelled musty and rancid and had stains on the floor. The breakfast was only carbs and only had fruit one day. I watched a few homeless people just walk in, eat, and leave. The gym didn't have any weights. There was a lot of olive presence in the area, especially at the Safeway across the street, witnessed an arrest and many sirens. The parking lot had a storm drain that was full of needles.
Dorris at the front desk was friendly and helpful.
I thought is was a bit sketchy that the hotel came up on my bank statement as "Krisha investments", I had to call my bank to figure it out.
the pool was open until midnight.
The room was FILTHY. I would have demanded a refund had I not got there so late. I wouldn't let my children walk around the floor without shoes. The wallpaper was peeling off the wall above the AC, the couch had nasty stains all over it, the furniture was old and scuffed up. The cleaning staff doesn't appear to care about their job and it didn't stopp there. The breakfast was a joke because the girl in charge; who also manned the front desk, didn't even know how to make coffee. She actually ran the coffee maker without any coffee grounds and couldn't understand why it was just hot water in the pot. Also, half of the outlets didn't work most of the time and so we couldn't make toast or run the microwave. Once again, staff didn't seem to care either.
Staff was great, very friendly! The room was cozy with plenty of room, comfortable bed even though we have a tempurpedic at home. It didn't have a dirty feel to it, maybe just a little lack of care.
Location was in the GHETTO!!! Could use an update for sure. A nice cleaning for the floors would be nice :-/ overall not a terrible place to stay, but not sure if we would choose this place again!
Lobby was nice. We had a quiet room. Breakfast was sufficient. Everything was clean. Décor and colors were nice.
Neighborhood not so great. Wallpaper was coming off in bathroom. This, unfortunately made it more like a two star hotel. They need to fix those things and then it would be really nice.
Value, size of room, the room itself.
The neighborhood was less than appealing, the view was of a low rent used car lot, lots of interesting characters hanging about. There was a totaled minivan in the parking lot. The tiny pillows are annoying. Peeling wallpaper in bathroom, loose and/or broken toilet seat (RM#416). Outdated TV that had few channel options and intermittent static. The Spa was a stagnant gross eyesore (out of order). It was clearly marked as a hazard for liability purposes, though...
The wi fi being included and accessible without a password. Younger staff members were pleasant and tried to provide a nice experience.
Owner/management was terrible, hostile and seriously unprofessional in every interaction we experienced as well as those we witnessed passing through the lobby area. They had a very nasty attitude about every question and were overly aggressive in their interactions. I understand that sometimes one has clients who are out of control or disrupt others and it is hard not to be upset when approaching them. This was not the case with the three people in our group or any other other observations. They are connected to booking.com and acted like it was the worst relationship in the world. I had printed out copies of my booking information with numbers etc. for check in purposes. Because of a time out on my computer I ended up making two separate bookings for three nights. As I checked in the young person at the front desk was courteous and took care of all my questions. I explained the situation with the bookings and gave him copies of my confirmation page. He was all over it and said he would make sure we could stay in the same room. Next morning I went down to make sure it was all good as I have worked in hotels and know that sometimes their are glitches. I was greeted by the owner/manager-at least that was how she identified herself in the conversation. She did not look up at first and made no type of greeting. At that time there was no one else in the lobby or other customers waiting. I told her who I was, my room number and said I was wanting to check on my room situation. During this a young man came in from outside-who I eventually learned was her son. He was running errands and checking in with her, although he initially just stood to the side. Instead of responding at all to me-even with a please wait or let me check she started hollering at him about various issues. I felt sad for him. He turned and left. She then went back to her computer. I said excuse me, if you want I can come back.
Price Comfort Cleanliness Pool
limited ice breakfast not stocked well
