Absolutely nothing other than they gave me my money back so that I could leave 15 minutes after chexking in because it was so terrible.
Nothing in the room worked. Nothing in the room was clean. It was in a very bad area of Portland, which you wouldn't see until you got there.
The location and cleanliness and staff
No clock in the room. Ridiculous choices of pre-set channels on tv and no program guide.
We liked the pool
The hotel is in a pretty good location for exploring Portland. It was inexpensive, as Portland hotels go.
We entered the lobby on 1/2/2015 and there was a sign saying, "As of January 1, 2015, we will no longer be serving breakfast" So no free breakfast, as was promised. The rooms were dated and dingy. The TV was ancient and the channels were barely watchable as they came in so foggily. The refrigerator was so noisy when it cycled on that we almost unplugged it. We had to pay a $50 deposit. There was no explanation as to why and so far it appears that we were not charged that deposit, but it is worrisome to have that added to our bill. Don't look for in-room coffee as that is not an amenity. There were noisy comings and goings all night outside and I barely got any sleep. Not a place we would ever stay at again.
It was much better.everything was
The fight at 4 in the Morning.Cops took forever to respond
24 hour coffee! Very nice and accommodating front desk and security person (Pat). They were all very understanding, supportive and apologetic about our experience and that was greatly appreciated!
There was a very loud, noisy and scary fight outside of our room at 5:30 A.M. Wall was shaken by someone being shoved into a wall in our room. Five minutes later someone was slammed into the window of our room, shattering it. Police came and handled the "event." We were moved to the annex and were picked up by family at 10:00. Then when leaving that morning, another group of about 6 "guests" got into a huge yelling and threat-laden match outside the main office...we left never to return.
No coffee pot or microwave in the room
Half of the lights in the room were burnt out. The room was musty, and the heater was poor.
the breakfast and maid service was excellent and the females at the front desk , being able to pay when i arrive but can reserve it online was awesome. privacy is great and peaceful...and they have smoking rooms at fair rates..access to hot coffee, laundry 24/7
not getting a reciept when i registered and them keeping my deposit after they kicked us out and told us we were not welcome there EVER again for having teenagers after we spent many nights and hundreds of dollars for myself and family to stay...the men were rude and unprofessional and check out times should be 1pm if check in isn't until 3pm. All rooms should have microwaves in them
Wasn't a real "continental breakfast" as advertised.
spacious - clean - very comfortable bed staff very friendly and helpful
rather dated inside. the location was not that great. we chose this place because of its proximity to a mall but ended up going across town to a larger mall, which was a 30 minute drive.
The front office staff was great. Very helpful.
The location is not the best...our room was pretty run down...only slept on top of the bed with my own blankets.
Only time will tell if the hotel owner and staff will be able to keep it as a nice / cheap hotel with the comings and goings of colorful characters. Recent remodel makes this hotel a *great* value, but...
...with it being so cheap, it attracts a questionable clientele. Also, there was a police raid of a house across the street while we were there.
wifi is a joke - my 3G worked faster. Breakfast is also poor. Had bedbug bites after staying there.
We were looking for a one night stay and the price was affordable.

The smell of the room. Dirty towels in the bathroom, dust. The bathtub had mold.
Restaurants are close by.
I didn't see much, we came in late and left early.
I like the location. They are walking distance to THE BEST steak house in Portland, Saylors' Country Kitchen! Also, about 10-12 blocks to a shopping mall, Kohl's, Ross, etc...
the only rooms they had left were smoking...when I returned home everything in my suitcase reaked of smoke!
Night manager rude did not apologize. Loud voices outside all night. Blanket was like steel wool. TV was blurry it stopped working in middle of night. I was afraid all night. This is a dive.
The service is always great and you can't beat the location.. near so much shopping and about 10 minutes to downtown.
It is kind of in a weird neighborhood and there can be some strange people walking around but never felt unsafe.
The staff was extremely nice even allowing us to check in early. The location near all kinds of shopping, eating and enjoyment.
This place is great for dog owners and cat owners. They don't barge into your room to check on you or clean daily. Privacy for you and your animals. Extended stay drwam, great bed and space to stretch out.
