Passing though Portland, evening staff was very helpful and we found the hotel to be a good value for the price. It's no frills but we weren't expecting the Shangri La so we were happy with it.

Clean but not as well cared for as should be. Large "nicks' out of desk area.

I have stayed at this Hotel for many years, But their policy's have changed. They have become incredibly anal.
Good location, Smoking rooms.

room was very dirty and smelled horrible. All pillows had stains on them and pulling back the blankets discovered more stains and was obvious someone had slept on same sheets. Towels had yellow crusty stuff on them and lots of mold in shower. I will sleep out on the sidewalk before i ever stay here again

50$ deposit required, noisy,no towels when we first checked in, had to go get our own towels
easy access to highway

The pillow cases were very dirty. We didn't want to look too closely at the sheets. The beds are old and very well used. they didn't have any water in the vending machine. There were two of us in tbe room, but the cleaning staff only left one towel
The only good thing I can say is that it was close to the max train and a major freeway so downtown was only about 15 mins away

Refrigerator buzzed, room old a d run down, heater stunk so bad we didn't use it. The bathroom fan didn't work. Had to leave a $50 deposit, besides the room cost....why? It was refunded back right when we checked out anyway. ..It's not like you looked at the room first...what was the point, to make us stay? Very overpriced, too bad I booked online, if I drove by, I would have kept driving.

bed was old and worn out. burn marks everywhere from those who smoke. can here the people in next room as if they are with you.

For one, multiple cops were at the hotel probably around 2 or 3 times and as 2 teenage girls that really put my friend and I on edge. There are definitely sketchy people who stay at the Inn, one guy stared at us threw his window when we pulled up then actually came outside just to stand there talking to himself and scratching his head! Also the housekeeping doesn't do the best job, they would make the bed but wouldn't get rid of any trash around the hotel...?
Location was decent right off Stark. Pricing was a bit high for the quality of this place but pretty good compared to most hotels in Portland. The room itself was pretty nice, except the burnt up comforter...

The service was excellent and the staff very welcoming. The location was also pleasant, everything you need was within walking distance of the hotel.

I did not know about the 50$ deposit. Igot it back of course. But when I saw someone else checking in they didn't have a deposit. The room next to me had loud tenants. They stood by my door smoking and talking loud. But overall an ok experience.
Location was good. Right off 205. I had a meeting nearby so it was a perfect location last minute.

room to the right, was on the phone 3-4 hours, the walls were so thin it sounded like he was in our room. room to the left had people having sex (again sounded like it was in our room) went on for hours. people up above us were fighting and yelling. will never stay there again!

Nothing in the room worked. Nothing in the room was clean. It was in a very bad area of Portland, which you wouldn't see until you got there.
Absolutely nothing other than they gave me my money back so that I could leave 15 minutes after chexking in because it was so terrible.

No clock in the room. Ridiculous choices of pre-set channels on tv and no program guide.

We liked the pool
January 4, 2015
We entered the lobby on 1/2/2015 and there was a sign saying, "As of January 1, 2015, we will no longer be serving breakfast" So no free breakfast, as was promised. The rooms were dated and dingy. The TV was ancient and the channels were barely watchable as they came in so foggily. The refrigerator was so noisy when it cycled on that we almost unplugged it. We had to pay a $50 deposit. There was no explanation as to why and so far it appears that we were not charged that deposit, but it is worrisome to have that added to our bill. Don't look for in-room coffee as that is not an amenity. There were noisy comings and goings all night outside and I barely got any sleep. Not a place we would ever stay at again.
The hotel is in a pretty good location for exploring Portland. It was inexpensive, as Portland hotels go.

The fight at 4 in the Morning.Cops took forever to respond
It was much better.everything was
December 31, 2014
There was a very loud, noisy and scary fight outside of our room at 5:30 A.M. Wall was shaken by someone being shoved into a wall in our room. Five minutes later someone was slammed into the window of our room, shattering it. Police came and handled the "event." We were moved to the annex and were picked up by family at 10:00. Then when leaving that morning, another group of about 6 "guests" got into a huge yelling and threat-laden match outside the main office...we left never to return.
24 hour coffee! Very nice and accommodating front desk and security person (Pat). They were all very understanding, supportive and apologetic about our experience and that was greatly appreciated!

No coffee pot or microwave in the room
December 22, 2014
Half of the lights in the room were burnt out. The room was musty, and the heater was poor.
December 21, 2014
not getting a reciept when i registered and them keeping my deposit after they kicked us out and told us we were not welcome there EVER again for having teenagers after we spent many nights and hundreds of dollars for myself and family to stay...the men were rude and unprofessional and check out times should be 1pm if check in isn't until 3pm. All rooms should have microwaves in them
the breakfast and maid service was excellent and the females at the front desk , being able to pay when i arrive but can reserve it online was awesome. privacy is great and peaceful...and they have smoking rooms at fair rates..access to hot coffee, laundry 24/7
December 14, 2014
Wasn't a real "continental breakfast" as advertised.
December 10, 2014
rather dated inside. the location was not that great. we chose this place because of its proximity to a mall but ended up going across town to a larger mall, which was a 30 minute drive.
spacious - clean - very comfortable bed staff very friendly and helpful
