Everyone on the staff whom I interacted with was very pleasant, and very efficient in their ability to assist me. The room was clean. The bed was very comfortable, with a number of cushy pillows and a soft mattress topper. The location of the hotel is very convenient, right in downtown Portland. I walked everywhere I needed to go, and could easily have caught a bus or MAX train within a few blocks, had I chosen to do so.
This hotel is bigger than any I'd ever stayed at before. I suppose that is no bad thing in itself, but I did find myself wishing I'd booked a room in a smaller hotel, where there would have been less noise and bustling about in the lobby. It's a minor point overall, but I did find that having to pass through a very busy lobby to enter and leave my room (there was in fact a large conference happening the weekend of my stay) detracted from the experience and rattled my (admittedly sensitive) nerves a little. I'd also rather not have had to pay extra for Internet access in my room.
Loved the location. Close to restaurants, shopping, downtown, river activities, hiking. We parked our car and walked everywhere we needed to go.
The staff gave excellent advice on eating at Departures. We'd return again, just to go there. Well there and Urban Farmer. What a nice city Portland has grown up to be.
Big hotel look and feel with good service but expensive for what it is and lacks some of what you expect like free wifi in rooms or more amenities
Price and performance. Room was small bed lumpy
Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Good size room and hotel is centrally located especially for serious shoppers.
Staff provided outstanding customer service. Combined with value for price and location makes this an excellent choice for a downtown Portland stay.
Was not able to stay long enough.
The staff was friendly and helpful, facilities were great and conveniently located.
We felt like we were being "nickle-and-dimed" for amenities that typically come standard in most hotels (ex. daily fee for wireless internet access; no complimentary coffee or continental breakfast).
Little ....mmm I'd say.. old.....
the staff is nice and helpful...they try their best to satisfy the customers.
Room was very small for 4 people. Beds were also small
Big rooms, obliging staff, sensational meals. Issue with room service solved brilliantly. Loved the pool, spa and gym.
Pool not deep enough (First World Problem).
Your Elevator service is very poor with all that number of Customers. I might not been mistaken , if I say that is my bad experience here in US. To your Hotel Capacity, you should have to have at least four Elevators.
A little spendy
Pleasant location, nice staff, nice common areas, proximate to some nice restaurants, appreciated water and lemonade in lobby.
Phone calls to front desk were not answered on two consecutive days, room decor basic, in room amenities (shampoo etc.) were stingy.
The location was excellent right on the river The staff was extremely friendly and helpful The beds were very comfortable with feather pillows
The pool was very small The price was high at $309 (plus taxes) per night compared to other hotels of equal quality we have stayed in in other parts of the world.
Loved it all.
Breakfast was expensive.
Staff, location, quality linens and lots of towels
Bathroom miniscule for price, parking outrageous, walls thin neighbors extra noisy early 6:00 AM and late midnight
Location, Friendly Staff Free Breakfast
Expensive Parking Hotel is bit dated Noisy AC (too Loud) Shower was not flexible
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. From changing money to amending the reservation to recommendations for dinner, the staff were helpful, considerate and polite. If only all hotel staff were this professional. The rooms were comfortable, the bathroom clean with plenty of towels, the internet was fast and easy to log into. The location, just away from the waterfront, was fairly convenient. There was even a self-serve laundry, which, after a two week vacation around Oregon, was very welcome.
There was a small (ten minute) wait for breakfast each morning, and the breakfast staff were clearly rushed off their feet. But they were polite and apologetic for the delays.
Really liked the location and the cleanliness of the hotel. Excellent pool and the beds were great.
The non personal touch.
Restaurants, Bars, Coffee shops all within walking distance, definitely will return to this place
Location and the Truss restaurant was excellent with outstanding staff!!
The pillows were awful had to ask for new ones nt much better. Didn't like that the only lounge allowed children and only two computers very open as business centre
Staff was friendly.
Rooms are small. Beds are only double size.
Staff excellent very professional
Didn't have our reservation room as booked ...put us in a handicapped accessible room.. Obviously retro fitted.... floor and bed were tilted the floor was uneven bizarre room asked to be moved next day did that well... room very small but level.. Very expensive room wouldn't recommend unless you really need to be downtown or have deep pockets
