pricey wifi cost extra
Location was good Everything else was bad
Rooms are small for the price Noisey Mean staff except for maid waited 10 min at bar for cocktail, to busy cleaning glasses mo money! parking, internet, breakfast, water, tips, tiny room to a larger tiny room, bathrooms are tiny, bad water pressure, WAY OVERPRICED! Dropped my Marriott card out the window forever!
The staff were, universally helpful and positive
I didn't like how much the parking would have cost if I used their garage.
Your staff, from gentlemen valets to bellhops, housecleaning, and roomservice were all exceptionl. I felt very cared for. You (management) should be very proud.
The toiletries were too odiferous. I would suggest placing them in a sealed package. I needed to keep the bathroom door closed all night. Possibly ask guest if they are sensitive to odors when reserving a room.
Free Wifi, but had to ask Great location Quiet room on busy street Great $15 Hamburger
Wifi not free by default Wifi speed poor Overpriced Parking for in/out No artwork on long boring hallways Generic bottled water cost more than beer No mini bar Tiny tub/shower, flooding bathroom Shower with slow drain Minimal amenities Room smelled like Clorox
View, staff, cleanliness
No WiFi in rm without charge.
the location was incredible for walking around downtown Portland. Proximity to the river, dining, public transportation, everything.
A bit pricey even for the location but nothing out of bounds.
location near river staff - everyone was genuinely friendly reservation - room as booked: early check-in, double double room, view
Close to waterfront and walking distance to downtown. Staff try to accommodate my request for seafood rather than meat-based food.
Enjoyed location, fitness center and pool. Close many great restaurants and had.view of Mt Hiod from our room. Beds very comfortable.
Room wasn't terribly spacious.
At that price there should be free internet at rooms. Noisy air conditioning, but fortunately it can be switched off.
Everyone on the staff whom I interacted with was very pleasant, and very efficient in their ability to assist me. The room was clean. The bed was very comfortable, with a number of cushy pillows and a soft mattress topper. The location of the hotel is very convenient, right in downtown Portland. I walked everywhere I needed to go, and could easily have caught a bus or MAX train within a few blocks, had I chosen to do so.
This hotel is bigger than any I'd ever stayed at before. I suppose that is no bad thing in itself, but I did find myself wishing I'd booked a room in a smaller hotel, where there would have been less noise and bustling about in the lobby. It's a minor point overall, but I did find that having to pass through a very busy lobby to enter and leave my room (there was in fact a large conference happening the weekend of my stay) detracted from the experience and rattled my (admittedly sensitive) nerves a little. I'd also rather not have had to pay extra for Internet access in my room.
Waterfront view was dynamite. Great location for downtown activities and getting out and about in Portland.
Valet parking was $35/night and found scape on fender (quite sure done by valets) on rental car return.
Loved the location. Close to restaurants, shopping, downtown, river activities, hiking. We parked our car and walked everywhere we needed to go.
There was a dirty bandaid found in the bed. The Marriott promised 2000 loyalty points in an account. I never received an email confirming this
Coffee splatter under the desk, Hair and dirt in the bathroom, black steak on comforter. When I told an employee, he just said I'm not here for that. Was not informed it would be Valet only and a charge of $35 per day.
The staff gave excellent advice on eating at Departures. We'd return again, just to go there. Well there and Urban Farmer. What a nice city Portland has grown up to be.
Big hotel look and feel with good service but expensive for what it is and lacks some of what you expect like free wifi in rooms or more amenities
Price and performance. Room was small bed lumpy
Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Good size room and hotel is centrally located especially for serious shoppers.
Staff provided outstanding customer service. Combined with value for price and location makes this an excellent choice for a downtown Portland stay.
Was not able to stay long enough.
The staff was friendly and helpful, facilities were great and conveniently located.
We felt like we were being "nickle-and-dimed" for amenities that typically come standard in most hotels (ex. daily fee for wireless internet access; no complimentary coffee or continental breakfast).
Little ....mmm I'd say.. old.....
the staff is nice and helpful...they try their best to satisfy the customers.
Room was very small for 4 people. Beds were also small
Big rooms, obliging staff, sensational meals. Issue with room service solved brilliantly. Loved the pool, spa and gym.
Pool not deep enough (First World Problem).
