The location was most important. Wanted to stay at a above average place with a friend on his last night in San Diego. And wanted to be near the airport for an 8 AM flight.
Except for Anthony and one waitress the staff was surly and/or borderline, expecially at the Glass Door. The room was adequate but needed fluffy towels a nice warm floor and wonderful soaps and lotions to make it first class. Hotel is gray and dismal on the interior. Stayed here 5 years ago and it is worse. Was hoping it was improving. Just not a good place to stay. And parking fee is outrageous.
King bed was amazingly comfortable and super clean with strong wifi
Better shower heads
It's a gay hotel . .if that doesn't bother you then all is good ☺
The staff was the rudest staff I've ever seen. From the valet to the front desk to the manager. They argued with everything I said. They were not helpful. When I expressed my dissatisfaction to the manager she had no remorse at all. I will never stay here again
It was close to the waterfront, downtown, and Balboa Park. The breakfast was very good.
The staff could have been more informed about using mass transit.
1. Location 2. My room looked like it had been recently updated. 3. Breakfast was included in the rate 4. Shuttle service was available to various areas.
1. Sometimes noisy, some shabby areas due to ongoing renovation.
They have double charged me for the room. I was assured it would be corrected but has yet to be. Have tried to contact hotel manager and have left multiple messages with no reply. This is not very professional. Avoid this place at all cost
We were really impressed by the staff and hotel overall. The breakfast was great, view during the breakfast every morning and at the sunset was priceless. It is located at a great location. Right at the edge of little italy and there is a trolly station at walking distance.
The Glass Door bar was pretty, and had a decent view. The lobby area was attractive.
The hotel itself was under construction, so hopefully the atmosphere there will change. Because it's a dump, right now.
The view of the ocean from the resturant Walking distance to different venues
Front desk staff could be a little more helpful by explaining how they charge for different things
The valet parking and attendants were awesome!
The strong scent of paint was very over powering. The bed were so uncomfortable.
The hotel's design is great, rooms are small but comfy, staff is courteous.
Their overpriced parking is a joke. I've stayed here over a half a dozen times. I have yet to pay parking. Even if I have to circle the block for 20 minutes. There should be at least a much lower rate for guests since it is open to the public as well.
View and location.
I did not realize that parking was $25 per night. Must have missed that in the advertisement. I expected to pay something
view from roof was nice
it was under construction, bathroom was small,
Location, staff, bed and breakfast
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful
The hotel rooms were small and the bed sheets were awful and kept coming off.
location, clean room, rooftop bar, free breakfast, weight room, free shuttle
the wifi was poor, granted I was in a far location. however, signal strength should be excellent in all locations. also, the weight room could use an adjustable bench. if there was one, it would complete a pretty decent space.
I loved the price with breakfast included and love the restaurant in the hotel. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. It was a nice location in the quaint Little Italy.
The pillows were flat and the view from the room was terrible.
Great food at the restaurant.
Go up to the Bar "The Glass Door" at sunset and see the Great view of San Diego Harbor a great way to end the day, and then for the free breakfast.
Great staff, location and price. Huge rooms on 5th floor. Had all amenities.
noise of airplanes flying overhead. free wifi is only good for browsing internet not streaming anything.
The location was nice & easy to walk to places for food & drinks. Our room was upgraded free of charge.
Hot water in shower lasted maybe 2 minutes before turning ice cold. Being on the second floor we could hear a lot of noise & bass from cars all night out front.
Staff was friendly and helpful, rooms were roomy and comfortable. We met our kids and grandkids at Ports Vista for a week through New Years and had a great time.
Extremely slow elevators.
I liked that when I asked to switch rooms when we got there they were very helpful and didn't make a big deal about it. I liked the decor, very relaxing. Love the location. Perfect. Close to tons of things to do and great restaurants. The view at the Glass Door restaurant was beautiful while we ate our complimentary breakfast.
The first room we had was beautiful however, there was a glass door from the room to the bathroom. This let in a lot of natural light, which was great, and the being to see the shower from the bed was sexy. However, you could also see the toilet and the person using it... Not sexy. This feature caught me off guard as there was no mention of it at reservation, but they switched our room with no issue. The rooms also do not come with a blow dryer which should be standard in all hotel rooms at this point. The location is new a slew of restaurants but the room comes with no fridge. It has a spot for a fridge though... They should use it. Parking was $25 a night and it is valet only, so then there is the adding cost of tipping. I did not appreciate this. The waitress at the Glass Door restaurant that served our complimentary breakfast was terrible. She never checked on us.
1) Glass Door - Who closes a restaurant for brunch? You're kidding right?
