    The locate.

    Almost everything. The room smelled of mildew and clearly was visible in the restroom, the noise level made it difficult to relax once back in the room, our card keys where disactivated (annoying). What was supposed to be a nice family getaway for my son and I wasn't. I would have paid less and gotten a better room and Motel 6

    The PV hotel is in a great location, the room is nice with comfy beds and the staff are friendly. It was so noisy outside with the freeway close and the planes overhead but we heard none of that inside the hotel room. We had fun at the Glass Door thanks to Jersey!

    The air conditioner struggled to keep the room cool.

    Clean room... older building, but in good repair. Good Wi-Fi Mostly pretty quiet, at least after 11 PM-- "safer" area of town to be in after dark.

    Given room with a view... of the inner (staff) parking lot (which was used as overflow parking for a reception/convention being held there, causing it to be somewhat noisy at night). The hotel is designed so that most (if not all) rooms face this staff parking lot. CHARGING AN ADDITIONAL $25 FOR ROLL-AWAY COT!!!! I've stayed in plenty of hotels, and never had that happen before... Older hotel... room was in good condition, but from the pics online, I thought it would be newer. Room not as big as claimed. Pixels out in TV. "Forced" valet parking, at an additional $22 per day. No street parking, no parking spaces, no free parking. Cost of valet parking will be included in the room cost. Most other hotels have free parking for guests. Put a $150 hold on my credit card without telling me until I asked about it the second day of my stay after looking at my bank statement (presumably for the cheap (about $15) coffee maker in the room, should I decide that I "needed to take it"). I was assured that the hold would be returned within three business days. Still haven't got to three days yet, but I'm watching. I never went up to the bar/restaurant (which boasted a "view of San Diego Bay"), due to all the drunken reception/conference attendees there. This was more of a night club, and not very family friendly. About 15 minutes (driving) from the beach, without traffic. With traffic, closer to an hour. NO SWIMMING POOL (even one was advertised). There is a SMALL workout room, but it's not really a gym. Hotel is located in the Little Italy area of San Diego, which isn't so much "downtown", per se. Downtown is several blocks away. Closest trolley is several blocks away, also (and doesn't go to the beach or SeaWorld). While rooms were nice, I wasn't sure if the staff/management was trying to go for a modern Italian or Contemporary decoration scheme.

    Incredible location one block away from little Italy. Amazing view from the hotel restaraunt on the fourth floor. One thing to know about downtown San Diego it's expensive to valet your car at night but you can park on the street for free between the hours of 6pm to 10am just a helpful tip save the 40 dollar a day valet fee.

    A no freels hotel room very dated room seemed to be clean enough. They advertise a roof top lounge area not so much kinda funny really small patch of turf grass with a couple chairs that's it. Great view though.

    Tiny rooms Toilet didn't flush well Old No TV directory for channels in the room No outlets except near sink WiFi didn't work well Noisy carts rolling up and down sounded like jet engines Parking a nightmare and too expensive Only Valet parking available and had to wait for car one morning when in a hurry Forgot to clean our room one day and had to call them Terrible cleaning job on room Lamps didn't work; room very dark as a result Elevators very slow and small Pathetic gym Overpriced for condition of hotel! First room had moldy, musty smell and had to change rooms Air conditioning ancient and noisy

    air conditioning with remote was nice. bed comfortable.

    waiting 20 minutes at the elevator with luggage to get out on the 3rd floor. also bathroom was scary with rusty trap doors in the ceiling, sloppy trim. And wifi problematic, kept cutting out, TV pretty limited. not enough lighting to see by.

    Is it true that during ComiCon everything costs more in San Diego, but the hotel was not worth the money paid for it! We paid a fortune for two rooms that were shabby. The internet connection was a nightmare and we could use internet only when right next to the door. We will not go back!

    Love the location ....& that's what they bank on. Loves the "hip" decor & restaurant.

    The rooms are not well appointed. It seems as though the ownership was not willing to invest in a real decorator, as the rooms are not well organized & poorly appointed. The front desk NEEDS more help. The magmt seems to be stingily on hiring sufficient help for the front desk. I have stayed here multiple times (due to location only), & the front desk is always short staffed.

    location was great in that restaurants were close by. Had a refreshing fruit drink, gourmet every afternoon in the lobby. Room was large with high ceilings, newly renovated. It was a deluxe double Queen.

    Toiletries were tiny,single use--cheap! Elevator very slow, we were on the 5th floor. No view for $600/night. Lacked any place to put my own toiletries in bathroom, pedestal sink should have had a stand in there--plenty of room. Did not use their parking,$22/day.Their is parking on the street,all day free on Sun and if going in/out--come back after 6PM--good until 8AM next day. I wouldn't come back.Had to pre pay over $1,000 6 mos in advance when making reservation.

    Vanessa at check-in was very friendly and helpful, answering all our questions, giving us directions to places we were going, and great restaurant recommendations. The valet staff was friendly and professional. Every staff member we met was always willing to help us however they could.

    Since we were there during Comic-Con, the rates were high.

    Location near little Italy

    Cleanliness! Chairs look old and dirty. As soon as we walked in it had a bad smell. Open the window from the restroom and there was a lot of dust on the screen.

    Walking distance to nearby Italian restaurants.

    $22/Day for parking is ridiculous! Parking should be FREE! Waiting for the Elevator was too slow. Hotel should have more elevators to get to room and down to lobby fairly quickly.

    I just don't like room doors facing outside. Didn't like the design set up. Seemed more like a cheap motel.

    Good location, only 4 blocks from the bay, 1.3 miles from convention center, right on the edge of Little Italy and close to airport. Staff was very helpful and friendly, shuttle available to airport and downtown. Great view of the port, nice rooftop area, nice Glass Door restaurant.

    Wi-fi was weak & slow, my debit card was charged twice for the room (although quickly corrected when I brought it to desk's attention).

    Location is awesome. Beautiful views and food was delicious at the Glass Door.

    Hotel looks well worn, like a youth hostel. I stayed in a lot of places like that in Europe in my twenties. A lot of stains, burn holes on the walls and fixtures. Elevator was archaic, moved very slowly. However, if you're looking for something more romantic, I'd just go to the Glass Door for a cocktail and then stay elsewhere. Hotel staff seemed overworked and frazzled. Manager snapped at an employee in front of a full lobby and was extremely unkind to him. I felt very bad for him. We had a clerk at the desk slap wrist bands on us without any explanation as to why we had wear them. We finally took them off. Still not sure what the purpose of that was. . . Very odd experience overall.

    Customer service was awful! Did not even stay here as from day one via phone they were rude and unhelpful. Booked by accident and refused to not cancel with 2hrs of mistake and said they were going to charge me regardless. Never in my life have I had such bad hospitality before even getting to the hotel. No one returned my calls to make sure I would be satisfied with my stay. They have a no cancellation policy it seems to trap you in. I have stayed at way more prestigious hotels and never would they treat someone who was going to stay with them like this. Their reviews on yelp say it all! Anthony, the front desk manager was rude, general manager and other lady in charge never called back. I suggest staying away from here. Only thing good is the location.
