Staff upgraded us
Room was poorly update, bathtub was gross, and the hotel was set up like a motel.. doors opened to outside.
Close walking distance to everything
It was very noisy. Plus the $150 bond they took was not reimbursed on checkout. If they can take it instantly then they should reimburse it instantly once check out is completed.
We lIled everything about this hotel. Freshly cooked breakfast included.Staff very friendly. Just walk out of the door & everything in walking distance. We are Catholic & a beautiful church was just a 2 minute walk, where Mass was said every morning at 07.30. The room was very quite, although the planes were coming into land & were quite close we could not here them with the window closed. It was nice to watch them. The air conditioning unit was good, we had no problems with it at all. We will definately come back again.
Having to leave!
The location was fantastic and the free breakfast was more than I expected. The Glassdoor restaurant allowed for a beautiful view and pleasant morning experience.
Upon arrival, staff only provided us with keys but did not give us information about wifi or breakfast. The beds were stiff and extremely uncomfortable. The lobby looks up to date and modern, but once you enter, the facility looks outdated and underwhelming.
The location of the hotel is great. Lots of restaurants, bars, transportation to Gaslamp.
The hotel looked like an apartment building from the inside. Had an apartment vibe instead of a hotel.
The location is very convenient.
Great location, good breakfast.
Staff could have been more informative about getting to places without a car.
The hotel was very clean and well kept. The location was good. The bar upstairs was very nice with a good view.
The price was a little intense. Parts of the hotel felt a little like a motel. On top of how much the room cost for 1 night we still had to pay for parking which I felt was a bit excessive.
A couple blocks to the farmer's market, a couple more to Little Italy, a couple more to the Convention Center and all the activity we wanted. Loved having breakfast on the rooftop with a spectacular view of the Pacific.
The only complaint was paying for parking but not unusual for big cities, Robert at the front desk more than made up for that complaint with his welcome, his helpfulness and humor.
Excellent location, close to waterfront and little Italy where there are great restaurants. Very nice breakfast included. Would stay here again.
Main elevator very slow. Construction going on, but not on weekends.
Great location. Within walking distance of everything in the harbor. Very close to great restaurants on India street. Fantastic chef prepared breakfast!
Really small room and what's with the toilet paper dispensers?
central location view from terrace breakfast
no bicycle parking
Location within walking distance of all sights. View from restaurant lovely way to start the day. Lots of little restaurants close by - safe area.
Rooms are a little tired.
The bed was sooooo comfortable, I could have napped all day.
Wifi worked poorly, got nearly no wifi in the room and when I did it was very slow. After a few complaints they didn't do anything about it so I stopped bothering and stayed most of the time in the hostel where I stayed before and where I met some friends before.
The location was most important. Wanted to stay at a above average place with a friend on his last night in San Diego. And wanted to be near the airport for an 8 AM flight.
Except for Anthony and one waitress the staff was surly and/or borderline, expecially at the Glass Door. The room was adequate but needed fluffy towels a nice warm floor and wonderful soaps and lotions to make it first class. Hotel is gray and dismal on the interior. Stayed here 5 years ago and it is worse. Was hoping it was improving. Just not a good place to stay. And parking fee is outrageous.
King bed was amazingly comfortable and super clean with strong wifi
Better shower heads
It's a gay hotel . .if that doesn't bother you then all is good ☺
The staff was the rudest staff I've ever seen. From the valet to the front desk to the manager. They argued with everything I said. They were not helpful. When I expressed my dissatisfaction to the manager she had no remorse at all. I will never stay here again
It was close to the waterfront, downtown, and Balboa Park. The breakfast was very good.
The staff could have been more informed about using mass transit.
1. Location 2. My room looked like it had been recently updated. 3. Breakfast was included in the rate 4. Shuttle service was available to various areas.
1. Sometimes noisy, some shabby areas due to ongoing renovation.
They have double charged me for the room. I was assured it would be corrected but has yet to be. Have tried to contact hotel manager and have left multiple messages with no reply. This is not very professional. Avoid this place at all cost
We were really impressed by the staff and hotel overall. The breakfast was great, view during the breakfast every morning and at the sunset was priceless. It is located at a great location. Right at the edge of little italy and there is a trolly station at walking distance.
The Glass Door bar was pretty, and had a decent view. The lobby area was attractive.
The hotel itself was under construction, so hopefully the atmosphere there will change. Because it's a dump, right now.
The view of the ocean from the resturant Walking distance to different venues
Front desk staff could be a little more helpful by explaining how they charge for different things
The valet parking and attendants were awesome!
The strong scent of paint was very over powering. The bed were so uncomfortable.
