Room itself was very nice.
Hotel hallways were a total mess - under construction/repair. Additionally, there was an eviction sign posted on a room down the hall from mine. Wifi didn't work.
the people of this hotel is very kind.
Internet services are not so good.
Location Price (was reduced because of maintenance on electricity)
The location was great - walking distance from the main square and public transport. (Though I pretty much walked to everywhere, including Fisherman's wharf.) The staff were also good in helping you get your bearings in the city.
The hotel was under heavy refurbishing when I stayed so there were plastic covers all over the hallway of my floor, large gaping holes in the ceiling and the smell of construction throughout the floor.
Location, location, location. The room was clean, modern and well equipped. Staff was nice and helpful.
There were some renovations going on so the corridors were all cover in plastic and there were workers everywhere. The lobby looks a little bit ran down.
Location is fantastic.
Expect no luxury. This is a simple hotel just adequate for rest after a day of work or leisure.
It was close to where I had to work.
It was loud. I was right by a communal bathroom that had a door that slammed, so I got woken up many times through the night. The heater was stuck on so it got really hot at night. The heater made loud banging noises one night, kept me up for an hour. Staff was unhelpful. I couldn't cancel my stay and get into a nicer hotel. I would never stay here again and highly advise against staying here.
The room is very clean.
It's noisy because of the street.
Very clean room, nice size. Comfortable bed Free wifi
Reception is smelly and needs an upgrade.
Location. Cleanliness of the room and the bathroom.
Tiny room. Nearly no space to hang your clothes. The hotel was under renovation so it looked like we were at war. There was this awkward noise that woke us up at 4:30 AM every day.The wifi is so poor is non existant. There is no fridge. The cleaning lady threw our bag with food and our folder with important documents (by mistake, of course, but still... They payed breakfast for us next door on our last day though)
I liked the location. It was really close to the concert I was going to and also close to market and mission wich was convenient. The room was clean, lots of TV channels and a mini fridge.
I didn't like not having my own bathroom. I know sometimes it's to be expected with old Victorian buildings but it was inconvenient. I also didn't like the fact it didn't have its own parking. I had to pay for over night parking and it was expensive. And the hotel staff seemed kinda rude.
Room is new and comfortable with hair dryer and toiletries, staff are very nice and friendly, they cleaned my room everyday (stayed for 2 nights), location was good; 2 blocks away from union square where we get on the city tour bus and the cable car.
Floor/ceiling under renovation, old elavator, very narrow hallway, we were not sure about safety, there's no air-conditioner.
Location next to China town and next door to the hotel is a wonderful coffee house Also great sandwiches any time of day
Room decor was outdated and beds were very hard
I was truly thrilled by the cleanliness, the location, the nice hot water in the shower, the gracious staff. It is the best hotel I've stayed at in San Francisco, and I have been coming to the City for more than 40 year's
No complaints at all
The room was clean, and the bed really comfortable.
The hotel looks like it's in desperate need of a renovation when you walk through the entrance.
The staff and location were terrific
The hotel is located within walking distance to nice cafes and restaurants. Our room had a private bathroom and the shower was superb. The staff were helpful in providing information on how to get about the city.
The room was a bit small but ok considering the price.
While the place was clearly under construction, it was in quite poor condition overall. The staff were quite nonchalant about everything and not helpful. I know that hotels in San Francisco are expensive generally, but I wouldn't stay here again unless it was free.
location is perfect! Post Hotel is very close to shopping, restaurants, and public transportation. They were doing construction, but it wasn't a problem while we were there. The room was small but clean, perfect for a couple.
Location was excellent, busy area and no issues walking to local restaurants/sights in the evening - felt very safe. Hotel renovations going on but were not intrusive
While room was clean there were coats haging in the closet from previous occupants - room not checked I couldn't adjust or turn off the heating so had to open the window to sleep, beside the fire escape. Not comfortable when alone
Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Hotel is right around the corner from Union Square, Hop on Hop off Tour stop, Trolley and Bus lines very convenient. The room was very clean..Bed was comfy. I would book again.
The room was small. Renovations in hallway and throughout hotel.
Location was awesome, right near Union Square. Rooms, showers, and bathrooms were always clean. Room was updated with new hardwood floors. Walgreens just around the corner.
Not suitable for families, public bathrooms. Homeless people near hotel but cannot be avoided in San Fran.
The hotel locatet near the powell bart station . The union square 300 m from the hotel. The stuff very nice and happy to help. suggested
No breakfast in hotel but the next door restaurant is very good
Conveniently located in the Union Square. Although reconstruction was going on within the aisles, the rooms were spotless clean.
Parking is not included, close parking options are approximately $35 a day. WiFi was almost non-existent.
Renovation on going
