Location is excellent; great value for money; staff warm, welcoming and helpful; free wifi in your room.

It was a bit hot in the room...no way to control the temperature...but opened the windows:)

Very convenient location. A few minutes to Union Square. The staff was very nice! Good value for money.

Least expensive; staff was helpful and friendly, let me leave my bags after I'd checked out.

Couldn't get TV to work (but I didn't try hard or ask for help); room was small but fine for the price.

The front desk staff were more than rude . The gentleman could not have been more rude....save your time & money for a hotel that isn't going to treat you like a bum.

The Hotel is a bit dated but very clean, I stayed in deluxe king room, paid close to 70 bucks a night, I must say I'm very impress. the room is quiet large with hardwood floor, bed is comfy, place is clean, the building is old but well maintain. Location is good, next door honey honey restaurant serve good food, bus right out the door step

Well is in the middle of the city so on the weekend can be quiet noisy but didn't bother me and toilet doesn't flush good enough so we have to flush many times in order to get it fully clean!

Television did not work after repeated tries by the front desk. We were offered a 10 % discount for this inconvenience but received nothing at check out but the attendant assured us we would be compensated. We returned to the hotel one hour afterward and recieved the same response. We received nothing in the form of a compensation. The names of the people at the front desk and the mysterious person o0n the phone were Mehla, Al and Jack.

This hotel is very good located in San Francisco. You will have a lot of public transportation available and you will be able to walk to a lot of cool places in the city. Staff was friendly, rooms were clean, they have a good tv, good bed and good bathroom for the price. I would definetly stay here again. They also have a space to storage your bags after you check out at 11 am, you can came back later to get your lugage - for free! People living for a long term there did not bother me at all. Wifi works very well inside the bed roons and it's also free!

Couldn't have guests past a certain time. While I understand why, it was still troublesome since we met some of our friends who were staying at another place for the weekend.

Location. Near to shopping area in Union Square. Walking distance to BART and Muni.

Hotel looks old and with smell of old furniture. Nevertheless, the room is clean. Room was tidied up everyday.

The Post Hotel was exactly what I was looking for in a hotel when I booked a mini vacation for my husbands 40th birthday to San Francisco! It was close to everything in Union Square, the hotel room was clean and the food options within walking distance where fabulous!

The staff was not overly knowledgable about the surroundings and they did not give you any information about the hotel; like where the kitchen was if you wanted to cook (which we wouldn't have used anyway)

Location is great, just a few blocks from Union street, clean room and free wi-fi.

Our room was recently remodelled, was perfectly cleaned everyday. Hardwood floors and flatscreen TV. Huge and modern private bathroom with bathtub, supplies (tooth paste, shampoo, hair dryer, towels etc..). The king bed was comfortable.

I would suggest to get at least one computer&printer dedicated to customers at least for their flight bookings or boarding passes.

It felt like a genuine place, where ordinary people treat you in a friendly and sincere way.

The Post Hotel was so convenient to Union Square & the BART. It also was right next door to an awesome eatery. I loved the very old elevator...very historic & charming. It wasn't the fanciest but great deal & comfortable!

Booking.com should be ashamed for having a 7.5 rating on this truly awful place. The only positive is its location. The Post is less a hotel and really a hostel, and a bad one at that. None of the photos remotely resembles its reality. The lobby is an entrance into a flop house, or what I imagine one to be. The elevator is a small metal cage with two heavy doors you have to open. Better be in good shape for this daily exercise. The corridors are narrow and ugly with a few doors labeled "bath." Be prepared to squeeze by the grizzled guests on their way to "bath." I inquired at the desk for an explanation about the sign stating "patrons" must pay for the day or the week in advance. The answer was something about "long term guests." It is probably the last step before being homeless on the streets. I haven't started a description on the room, but it would go on longer than I care to write. Just imagine for yourself from what I have written what it is like. We tried desperately to find another hotel and get out, but everything was booked except for the 4 star hotels which we could not afford.

I am staying here for one night on the 13 Sept while waiting my connecting flight to kl on the next day. It is my first time travelling to us and sfo, decided to stay here after study the best option available in internet. Among the good thing I would to share are: 1. Perfect location..close proximity to Powell Street BART,shopping district, tourist attraction, etc... 2. Halal food restaurant just one block away really convinient for muslim. 3. Friendly and helpful staff 4. Clean room but no air cond

The owner of the Hotel and all the staff at the desk were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. We stayed here for three nights and each morning the staff at the Post Hotel offered great tips for our stay in San Francisco. Despite being a very busy time in the city, the owner of the hotel went out of his way to extend our booking for us. Would highly recommend.

Quiet, pleasant, accommodations with adequate amenities in a very good neighborhood.

Staff wasn't the most helpful or providing when needs arose, i.e., ice machine broken, access to kitchen facilities when needed, etc.

The Post Hotel was like staying in New York City (on the West Coast). This Hotel was very clean, but it is not the Ritz Carlton and we did not expect it to be. The elavator was an antique (Cage Door Type) and was a real treat to use. The Staff were really cool, asking about Outside Lands on a daliy basis (they really seemed to care about our stay). So if you don't mind a Bare Bones room (ANTIQUEISH) and you like a room where you can really open the window and get Fresh Air into your room, This Is Your Place. Window open, listening to the street noise was a real treat or us. But Were Crazy Like That !

Nothing seemed to be wrong at all. They went out of their way to change our reservation, making it possible to have the same room throughout our stay. After we changed our intinerary at the last min,

The hotel was close to Union Square, the cable cars, shopping and restaurants. The room, although of older vintage, had some upgrades and was very clean. The location was noisey but that was to be expected being right downtown.
