very old lookin. needs to upgrade the rooms and outside of the property. This place shows it's age. Also, should invest in new beding .

Upon arrival the front desk people were very friendly and welcoming. It was a nice beginning.

Other than the nice welcome we received, everything about the Poughkeepsie Inn was a disappointment. The rooms were run down, dirty, the bedspead/comforter had holes in it, some from cigarettes (and this was supposed to be a smoke free room). My daughter pulled back the bedcover to discover a bug on her pillow case. The only reason we chose this hotel was because it was pet friendly. We were thoroughly disappointed. But we were attended a wedding at the country club across the street and thought it would be convenient. I seldom write reviews but I wanted to warn people.

I liked the fact that I was given a room at the very end of the building, where it was quieter.

I would've liked to have been able to put a "do not disturb" card on the door so that the housekeeper would've known not to knock on my door as early as he did.

They overbooked so they didn't accommodate our 2 double beds in a non-smoking room and instead gave us a rollaway in a king non-smoking room, but the rollaway smelled like cigarette smoke.

It's pet friendly, which I needed as my daughter has a dog. The staff was friendly. There was no problem with late check-in (I did call). The room was clwan and tere was coffee in the lobby.

It's a pretty basic, no frills place - but the room was clean and had none of the problems I read about in some of the reviews, ie the room had no smell or mold and the fixtures all worked fine.

Location and the price.

Einfaches günstiges Hotel. Sauberkeit annehmbar. Wer wie wir den Walkway machen will, sollte in Fishkill übernachten. Die Hotelauswahl und das Angebot ist dort besser.

Front desk was friendly

The room just did not feel clean. Furniture and bedding were very worn out. Mattress needed to be replaced. Pillows were old and uncomfortable. Blanket was threadbare. The mattress spring was visible and very dirty.

Great air conditioning system, walking distance from several good restaurants and convenient shopping centers, good service, great water pressure, good free WiFi

The breakfast was lacking, though that may be because I caught it in its last half hour.

The breakfast included with the room was disappointing. My wife and I wondered how it was possible to make coffee that bad.

Close proximity to Marist College.

I like very little about the Poughkeepsie Inn. We checked in at appx 7pm and checked out at 2am. We were in town for a Marist College basketball game, and drove three hours to attend. Upon arrival we noticed the outside area had limited lighting. When we entered our room we noticed soiled and worn furniture. The doors were scuffed and dirty. The worst was the discovery of stink bugs crawling in our room. There was no way we could sleep there. We are used to the equivalent comforts of a Courtyard hotel. Unfortunately, they were booked. I will certainly be applying for a refund.

Dingy old Motel, stained pillows and mattress, small bathroom, no microwave or fridge anywhere

The room smelled awful (Mildew?) and was damp.

Staff was great. Kept asking for directions. I even called before I arrived and found I was only 1/2 mile away. Breakfast was good and relaxing. Close to where I had to be "Gold's Gym".

Smelled a little stuffy when I first arrived but once I got it aired all was fine.

Motel désuet situé sur un boulevard commercial. Nous sommes restés deux nuits et la deuxième nuit, il y avait beaucoup de bruit (party).
