The restaurant inside the hotel had phenomenal food and the bar tending staff was great company. They really made the stay worth wanting to come back. Great staff. Excellent food - pricey but worth it! The hotel, though clean, is very outdated. TV sets were old tube style and was surprised some amenities were not provided automatically. Even a Days Inn provides toothpaste. The first night there the shower was luke warm. However it was fine the next morning. Maybe problem with water heater.

Location was perfect, downtown providence. Hotel is beautiful with lots of history and artifacts. Attached resturant and Starbucks. The skybridge connecting the garage and hotel was closed. No hot water left for showers after 9 am.

Service was excellent, friendly and attentive front desk and concierge--available at all hours. The front desk upgraded me to a larger room with morning sun. The bed was very comfortable, firm with a mountain of soft pillows. Good, fast (and complimentary) wireless. Fitness room was empty at 5:30 a.m. easily accessible and with towels and bottled water.

We were upgraded to a suite that was breathtaking. Beautiful linens, comfortable bed, perfect temperature, gorgeous views from windows, very quiet. The restaurant was mediocre.

The staff was very acomodating as we were moved to another room- see - didn't like The room we were orignally given (520, I believe) smelled just awful. The head housekeeper came to the room and after agreeing with us attempted to refresh the air, but I think the problem was in the carpets which really stank.. When we came back from dinner, we were called and moved to another room which was more than acceptable. I don't remember the name of the head housekeeper, but she did her job, very very well.

Excellent location - walking distance from the railway & bus station. Most things in walking distance - if not, the bus station and trolley bus is just across the street. Very friendly staff. In-house McCormick & Shmicks restaurant (very good seafood) and Starbucks. My room & bathroom was a bit dated - but clean. And after all - it is a historic hotel.

Location. Atmosphere, Style and character of the architecture. Staff. Hot shower. Room comfort is awesome, beds are amazing!. Valet parking was an issue. Not the parking but the Valet driving. Our car was scratched and crashed when we were leaving. And if we had not seen the other car license plate on the street, I believe nothing would have been said. A little lack of organization of customers in the lobby for check in, but the front personnel were Great.

Location ! Hotel unkept needs to be more modernized and needs a major refresh! , stayed at other hotels with the same age and did not expect the room to be in really bad shape .. Air conditioning seems to work only during the daytime and blows room temp at night - rather sweaty uncomfortable and humid with very moist smell.. Also waited more than 30 minutes for valet - took our ticket and got 10 cars ahead of us - then asked if we were helped - asked what we drove and they guessed what car we had - by us telling them just the make of the car- they brAng the wrong car down ..
