Location ! Hotel unkept needs to be more modernized and needs a major refresh! , stayed at other hotels with the same age and did not expect the room to be in really bad shape .. Air conditioning seems to work only during the daytime and blows room temp at night - rather sweaty uncomfortable and humid with very moist smell.. Also waited more than 30 minutes for valet - took our ticket and got 10 cars ahead of us - then asked if we were helped - asked what we drove and they guessed what car we had - by us telling them just the make of the car- they brAng the wrong car down ..

Very good size rooms coffee making facilities central location character easy to arrive via coach from Boston Logan airport Free internet Avis rental car next door breakfast menu,.. although the in-house Starbucks helped It probably needs a small makeover, but again the overall character wins over the small needs

Centrally located. The fact that we could have a kitchenet, but was not given the option. We stayed for seven days.

The lobby and the friendly, helpful staff. Extremely noisy when the "scene" was going on outside after a concert (about 1 am. Morning evacuation when a pipe burst in the plumbing. Incredibly tiny room. Funky ancient bathroom. Beat up furnishings. No heat in my first room. Changed rooms the second night. But who wants to change rooms at midnight after a long work day?

Convenience to Brown. Slow response to noise complaint. Indifference of staff upon re-stating it in the morning when checking out. No apology!

I love the feeling of old glamour. My room on the other hand was very very small, and just felt more of needed good scrubbing and update. However I feel you have a great staff, from your doorman to you front staff. For the money I will stay there again happily

Loved the historic feel of the place, the suite, the view, the comfortable beds, the Starbucks in the lobby. Excellent hotel experience. Will definitely return if my daughter attends school in Providence. Valet parking took a while to retrieve my car, but it was right at the peak of dinner hour. Much better service in the morning at check out.

Good location help at check in was good. We could hear all the noise that was going on outside on the street till around 3:30 am not a great way to spend the night. When I called the front desk they offered breakfast vouchers to hotel restaraunt which was nice and was told friday and saturday nights were like that.

The hotel staff answered lots of questions we had about Providence. The room was quite spacious. The rate for teh room was good considering the hotel's central location. Their hotel restaurant was not that good, and the wait staff was constantly pushing special deals, interrupting our dinner conversation.

Nice older hotel with towering ceilings and very large rooms. Centrally located and only a short walk to the large downtown Mall. Also within walking distance to Brown University. Parking is behind the hotel and it is not cheap.

Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable Hotel was gorgeous although it is undergoing needed renovations Walls may have been a little thin? Coupled with partiers at 3 in the morning didn't make for a good nights sleep when getting up at 5 the next morning to catch a flight. Room and bathroom were a little tight, but this is to be expected with an older hotel.
