Hotel history displayed Bed linens Friendly staff Room size-2 rooms turned into 1 room, wow. View; Roof deck/patio Potential to push into a more luxurious hotel if Providence business continues to turn around and can support a hotel of that caliber.
Bathroom was way outdated. There is no reason not to have a modern walk in shower in a bathroom that huge of a size. Living room furniture very scruffy. Hotel "feels" as if it should be part of a more luxurious line but when you first walk in the room you feel as if you just walked into a Sheraton (which I didn't know until later it used to be!). Would be nice to have a hotel bar that wasn't part of a chain restaurant.
was easy to get to. room was beautiful neat and clean with lots of space. beds were very comfortable.
wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the room.
Warm feeling of the hotel, friendly staff, character of building
Location Kitchen facilities
Wifi only worked in the bedroom. Couldn't get signal in the lounge area
We had a jr king suite. Two beautiful king beds and large sitting area . Very comfortable.
The hotel maid kept knocking on the door even though checkout wasn't until 11:30.
The hotel was superb
Location, service, style, value were all good
The upper floor halls seemed a little tired
Everything is excelent at the Biltmore!! Service, location is superb, facilities, etc. I will return again!!!
The location is central, within walking distance of a lot of fun activities in downtown, including the PPACRI! The staff are so wonderful - I fell like I'm on vacation just being there and treating myself to great surroundings, and being taken care of. The restaurant in the hotel, McCormick and Schmick, makes the best Crab Benedict (and the only one!) I've tried. Their fish is out of this world.
Some of the bathrooms are a bit cramped for space for personal items - a small detail.
Loved the historic old hotel. Beautiful huge Junior Suite with 2 King beds. Value Plus. Having just left the Marriott in Newport Rhode Island (I know you can't compare the two locations) where we paid almost 4 times as much for a much inferior room (more like a motel stop) - this suite shone above all other hotels we have stayed in around the US. Very impressed.
We didn't know what to expect - but thought there would be more to do. Seems like a city/hotel better suited to the business traveller. Not sure we were in the best part of town.
Big rooms, very clean, comfortable Bed. It kinda is like a 2 room appartment. Some people were complaining about not having warm water, well we had warm water in the late evening and in the morning ;) And people, yes the bathroom is small but not tiny, it has a nice shower, a sink and a toilett. There is a place where you can hang your cloth and towles. There is not one thing i could complain. You can even walk to the Mall ;-)
That we only stayed for one night....
The comfort and location was unmatched. We stayed in a junior suite, while the hotel was a bit older it is very nicely kept up and possesses a true classic charm, beautiful lobby architecture. We did not enjoy a meal here though they had great options but instead the guest valet brought us to Federal hill where he was able to suggest many options, what great service! Our stay was a wonderful relaxing mini get away.
Location was great, bed was very comfortable, staff was excellent.
I was unable to control the temperature in the room because at this time the hotel is all on the same system of either AC or heat. This may not matter to most people but I was rather cold and was disappointed that I couldn't get the room a little warmer. Please note - I was informed that the system is due to be upgraded this winter.
It was close to our evening events.
The front desk staff was rude. Specifically, was outraged for the fact that I asked if there was any water. She tossed two bottles of water at my wife and examined that there was a vending machine on every other floor. On another note, the valet parking was very unorganized. We called down to have our car ready, then waited outside for 15 minutes only to have management tell us they lost our info. It would have been nice to have known they are going to be doing construction bright and early in the morning.
Paying for parking! Really expensive, added a significant cost to the trip we weren't expecting. I'm sure it's outlined somewhere on their website but we didn't think to check
The spa provided the worst massage I ever had
Location, valet staff, old luxury hotel comfort
Traffic (not their fault)
Bathroom too small
The old architecture
Air conditioning was broken in our room; and the bathroom was poorly designed, having the toilet jammed up beside the wall and the doorway opening directly before the toilet seat.
The location is excellent and the car available for the guest.
The rooms feel old, need renovation.
The room was very luxurious and the restaurant was great! When we had an issue, the front desk staff was courteous and extremely helpful.
Maybe it was just the day that we stayed (it was the fourth of July...) but there was only one person on duty for the entire hotel (332 hotel rooms) for room service. It was impossible to get in touch with him and, when I did, he was very unhelpful. We didn't have a menu in the room so I asked him what they had for appetizers - he said he would call me back and never did. What we did order took over an hour (a drink and a dessert), and never showed up - so we went downstairs and ate at the restaurant instead. We ended up getting charged for it anyways (luckily the front desk staff was gracious enough to correct the mistake). Everything seemed to be short staffed - the valet, the room service, etc. But, again, that may have been because they anticipated a slow fourth of July.
Nice location, friendly staff,
Parking for USD 28 per night is pretty expensive Bathrooms are small compared to the size of the rooms
Ambience is spectacular
Room was beautiful, very comfortable, well-appointed.
Space was a little cramped, but not enough to complain about too much. Parking was pretty pricey.
