Providence itself, it was a bit of a disappointment
We were in Providence to visit colleges. The location of the hotel is good. We were able to walk to the colleges we were looking at. The lobby is beautiful. We had a junior suite. Our bed was comfortable but the sofa bed could be better. Overall a nice place to stay.
A more comfortable sofa bed. Would be great if there was a pool in the hotel.
The hotel is beautiful and the staff is friendly and very accommodating. We were delighted to discover that Hotel Providence is pet friendly. On our next visit, we will bring along our mini dachshund.
Loved the junior suite. It was perfect for our family--one son, one daughter and one parent. I love the aged of the hotel and historic decor. However the sofa were more like 190 thanx 1890. They should be replaced.
Hotel Providence exceeded our expectations in every way! The valet staff was courteous and easy and check in was a breeze. The gentleman at the desk was personable and helpful. Our room, the Theodore Geisel Suite, was beautiful and charming. The bed was deliciously comfy and the room darkening drapes allowed us to sleep as long as we liked. Located in a perfect spot to explore the magnificent architecture and river walk in Providence.
The street noise was a tiny bit loud in the wee early morning with beeping back up noise. (Trash day)
One small elevator to get to your room, average room
Clock tower rings from 8am until midnight. Live band plays on Friday night until midnight.
very comfortable beds friendly staff walking distance to restaurants live music free coffee quiet room
The hotel and room were clean. The staffs were friendly.
No self parking.
Clean, friendly, great bar and restaraunt.
Although you offer a room service breakfast I would like to see a morning buffet. It is a fast, no thinking way to start the day.this is not a criticism, just a suggestion... Love the place!!
Very helpful staff. Very comfortable bed and well appointed room.
We had a view of a brick wall about a metre away. Not a big deal for us.
Location, rooms, beds, restaurant, staff - we enjoyed all of it!
Slightly too much room to room noise transfer
Location of the hotel, beautiful old building converted to a classy hotel, great Jazz music Friday night
Could not think of anything that displeases us.
The valet was great because there was no optional free parking. Hotel staff was very polite and helpful. The room was extremely cleam, and comfortable.
Thin walls, we could hear another quest snoring throughout the night. Valet was a bit pricey at $28 and the breakfast (even though we didn't choose to get any) was a bit pricey also. Alot of younger college kids walking around the streets intoxicated.
I like the whole experience
there was nothing not to like

Very unique hotel experience. Our first time to Providence and would stay there again if we ever came back. Wonderful time!
Service was a little slow in the restaurant.
The staff went out of their way to assist us with questions and concierge services. The accommodations were first rate.
Friendly, helpful staff--immediate and helpful response to any needs or questions. Lovely, comfortable room; nice restaurant on premises with good food and service; and the doggie-friendly dog bed and treats in the lobby were a sweet touch.
What's not to like? It was all great.
Excellent free wi-fi, no password or complicated set-up required, quiet room, nice view, excellent price.
Beautiful rooms, gorgeous bathrooms, lovely restaurant on the main level - We were totally comfortable!
Our only complaint was that the chef uses way, way too much salt on the food. We are not people that need to watch our salt intake - we just really enjoy fine food and that was too much salt.
The old world ambience and decor, comfortable bedding and the nice size of the room. Of course, the location is excellent.
Some of the staff on the front desk were clueless about directions to local sights - they seemed to be new to the job.
Clean and new hotel.
Park is very expensive. Cheapest solution is daily 20 usd around the hotel. Lots of drunk after 23.
Location, particularly to Federal Hill.
