Wifi needed Internet explorer. iPhones, iPads need not apply. Totally 90's. Garbage.
the staff was very helpful and friendly
everything was good, nothing bad
they are closing in days.... no caffeine
Great location. Helpful staff. Wonderful breakfasts with delicious made to order omelets. Comfortable beds.
Cleanliness was questionable (lint on floor that should have come up with vaccuum, washtowel left loose on rack so not sure if it was clean or one we'd used before...no major issues though), parking lot one weekend night was full so had to search for parking on nearby lots and walk back to the hotel in the rain, wifi and tv reception worked intermittently.
Everything was great. I have no complaints!
Finally figured out after 4 hrs of knocking...mumbling...door closing...repeat etc, every 10 minutes that drugs were being dealt from midnight to 4AM in the room next door with their door inches from mine. Reported to the front desk as I had not slept and they just said... "We will make sure they are not there for the rest of your stay?????" What.... no concerns about the actual activity going on... monitoring questionable characters passing by the front desk repeatedly from midnight to 4am...safety of your guests...and no reduction in rate for no sleep???? I will not be returning.
The walls are thin and the rooms were dated and dingy.
difficulty connecting to wi-fi
Location and beds were comforable
The room was dirty, mold in the toilet. Told staff, this was there 3 days later. Charged full amount after booking through Booking.com.
The location and decor.
The furniture was well worn. There was a hole in the bathroom wall directly behind the door. The bed was super small
Weak a/C. Ownership is changing.
Electricity continued to fail throughout visit. Plumbing broke in room. Air conditioning in room and throughout hotel continuously going out. Non-responsive staff [no follow-up to requests] 2 refrigerators did not work Was our Anniversary vacation and staff seemed entirely ambivalent to any of the issues we were encountering. Would never recommend this hotel- ever the worst experience in our lives!!! Imho - the hotel should be destroyed and the ground salted
Liked the location and that it was more sustainable.
Our shower ran ice cold. I was told the hotel was being purchased by Mariott. It seemed like they didn't really care anymore. Recycle bin in lobby was overflowing.
The cook that made our omlets was wonderful and her food was the best!
Some man that works there kept walking in the banquet room while we were trying to have family time... We paid our money to be watched
More accommodating than a national chain because they cater to a local clientele, and are owned and managed locally. Breakfast service the best, love the omelet station.
Needs updating, a little shop-worn.
Location in the middle of everything. Short distance to downtown. Friendly staff. Nice, small room.
Didn't find the Spa! part of the Spa hotel. Tried to book couples massage. Didn't happen in a four day stay. Don't show up in the parking lot after 7 pm Friday or Saturday. You will park blocks away.
The location in Westport was outstanding! We've done these trips a few times before when the Twins were in town, and had stayed in the northern suburbs, had to drive places to eat or drink. Being in Westport meant we could park the car after the game and enjoy the many bars, restaurants, and other attractions without needing to drive. We didn't use it, but the hotel also has a shuttle that will take you anywhere you want to go within a 3-mile radius. And did we mention the cooked-to-order omelets for breakfast, and the free Happy Hour? All in all, a great place!
room had a 'friendly' feeling. not sterile like most chains. (probably the single colored wall). No 'antiseptic' odor. A well thought out facility. Happy Hour a definite plus as was the breakfast. (Having info on back of key jacket excellent idea). 'Green facility' a definite plus.
Everything OK this trip.
The location and shuttle and complimentary drinks were the only perks
The very small rooms. The air conditioning did not work at all. No pool.
I liked the driver Orlando, very friendly. The free drinks were nice, room was good for the price. Location was perfect to walk to Westport..i mean it is right there.
Maybe more options for breakfast..husband loved omelet, but I like just eggs. Could be a little nicer inside.
Very nice and quiet. Can walk all over Westport.
There was no air conditioning and the rooms were hot even with window open
Staff- room setup-breakfast-
Room temperature too warm
I liked the managers special in the evening. And the breakfast was great
The beds were comfortable, the desk staff were very helpful too. I loved that I could work out at golds gym for free and even get into a popular bar all for just staying there.
Housekeeping is very slow. We even left our room after breakfast and by 4pm it still hadn't been touched even though they were only a few doors down when we left. Not impressed about that. Also the walls and doors are thin! You. Can hear everything so at times it was hard to sleep.
If you're on a budget, it can't be beat. The room was lovely, the staff helpful, and the shuttle, breakfast and happy hour are fantastic free extras. Fridge and microwave in the room, and lots of good options in surrounding blocks.
Plenty of hot water, but figuring out the taps can take some work.
