It was clean.
The room was a bit small. And we were right opposite the vending machine and dining area so whenever people come to use either we heard they're entire conversation.
Access to Subway - Broadway junction Reasonable price
Noise, much too noisy! Location and surroundings Size of breakfest room, 2 tables only
Located close the train. Easy access to various areas of Brooklyn.
Limited parking available. Wifi periodically cut out.
Wifi, breakfast, free parking
This hotel is at the intersection of several subway lines so trains are passing by regularly on two sides. They have tried to soundproof but the noise I'd deafening at times.
The attitude of the staffs and the cleanliness of the hotel
Clean and friendly! Looks nice in the inside, and free breakfast
The staff friendly,
Late check at 3:00 PM and early check out at 11:00 AM
Location - right beside the subway line Noisy - train running all night Customer Service - very poor Room - dirty, the bed was made up but room was very dusty Bathroom - needs more attention
The price, close to the metro station
The location, it's deep in Brooklyn, a taxi from Manhattan can't find it.
The room was clean.
Poor breakfast. And the tv was and no good reception on some channels. Sleep was very disturbing at times with the train padding overhead.
Rooms clean and ok.
Location very poor, train runs over hotel. Noisy
Nothing about this dive
Noise from subway and pipes all night long
The proximity to public transportation
We arrived with a lot of luggage at 12pm. Check in wasnt until 3pm and they told us it would be $45 to check in early. We left our bags at the front office to avoid the outrageous fee and they gave us a tag to reclaim our luggage at a later time. I travel alot around the world and I never had a problem checking in early to a room if one was available, and I never had to pay $45 to do so. This was a major inconvenience. Next the coffee maker in our room was filled with water, the housekeeper failed to clean it prior to our arrival. We turned the bed down and there was brown flakes in it. My husband and I decided to sleep on top of the covers instead. We stayed from friday to Sunday morning. Checkout was at 11. Most hotels have atleast A one hour grace period for late risers, when we called to see if we could check out at 12 so we wouldnt have to rush they told us it would be $15 per hour charge after 11. They said even if we checked out 5 minutes late that the charge would be accessed. I have been to 5 star hotels, down to 2 star hotels and I have never had a problem with late checkout. This hotel is small, dirty, greedy, and the location is very scary. There were dangerous looking men around the neighborhood, my husband and I were very scared coming to the hotel from the subway station. Be wary of this location. Dont carry valuables. There was some gang activity. The local diners had drug activity and was scary, I do not recommend eating or hanging out in the area. The price for the hotel is not worth money. Stay away!!!!!!
Bed was comfy and they had the game show network so that was cool. Oh and who can argue with 24/7 porn?
The Indian guy was pretty ridiculous. My train was rly late and so I didn't get in till 3am and he'd cancelled my reservation. Fair, However refused to give us a room and basically left us stranded. He also lied and said the rooms had been booked already? What? So we walked two more hours for a motel overnight. In Brooklyn, Yeah safe. Found one, looked online to book a new room literally two hours later and low and behold, there are still rooms available for exactly what I had booked. We had the money as well to cover it. What a tool. Not sure if it was a language barrier or not, the guy I checked in with the next day was much more pleasant. The small Indian kid though.. Never seen someone have so much trouble booking a hotel that was already booked and I was still willing To pay for it. He tried to talk circles saying there were only double beds left and we said we would still take that, even paying the same price as the queen. I dunno I'm insure what his issue was. He didn't seem to have a clear idea of basically anything.
I liked that wifi was available to customers and the beds were comfortable enough to sleep.
The room was smaller than it looked in the picture. The sheets were very thin with worn out fleece blankets which also was not portrayed in the pictures. And the breakfast was horrible.
location to subway and particularly train
reeked of smoke, breakfast bar pathetic, not clean. Very rough neighborhood, though we didn't hear any gunfire. Quite a few hourly customers.
The Lexington was unkept, STANK and is in an extremely unsafe area. We were booked in for three nights but left after the first (willingly loosing our money). In the taxi to our alternative accommodation, the driver told us locals would wait for tourists to stay there to mug them. It's circled on the local police route because it is so unsafe.
Traveling from philadelphia and visiting family in Brooklyn this hotel was close to the train at Broadway junction and affordable.
Distinct smell of marijuana in the lobby.....
free wifi with good quality free breakfast with good service comfortable room with comfortable bad and bathroom
Not Clean Fair service bathroom is not very clean price/service is too high
It was close to metro train, the staff was helpful, room was ok
They don't do room service. The three days I was there the room begin to smell.
Large room Close to the subway (two blocks) Free breakfast Free parking Easy to find Shampoos and soaps provided were cruelty-free Cheap Had fridge and microwave NYPD were in the surrounding area 24/7
Security at the entrance was low (anyone could walk through the doors without a keycard) Parking lot was small No parking lot security Rude staff Little to do in the surrounding area Staff were not available at night Television was low quality (very fuzzy picture)
It was just Horrible!!! Dirty, was not well located in a neighbourhood was not safe at all, the service was inexistent there was no breakfast for all the clients and the variety of food was poor, by night you don't feel safe because you hear many weird things and the train passes by the room window practicaly (10mtrs of separstion) I WILL NOT RECOMMENDED FOR ANYONE!!!!! In addition to.this it is far away from the center, if you take the Subway it takes btw 30-45 min to arrive to Manhattan. THE SUBWAY STATION OF THE HOTEL IS BROADWAY JUNCTION SO BETTER TAKE A LOOK ON THE INTERNET ON A MAP SO YOU.CAN HAVE AN IDEA ABOUT its location.
Went on vacation to NYC with my boyfriend! Hotel is close to the subway and even though there is a track right next to hotel there was not much noise! Breakfast was okay but hey free breakfast can't complain! Ride into Times Square was about 25 minutes not bad! Saw some reviews that said there was no hot water if that wasn't a lie I don't know what else is that water was HOT! Had a great stay! And thank god for the parking! Area does look a little rough but wasn't bad felt safe walking through neighborhood at night as there is a police station right next too the subway! Would I stay here again heck yes and I plan too! Made the NYC vacation affordable!
