Close to subway, great breakfast, strong Wi-Fi, good cable TV
The housekeeper was real nice
They breakfast because the bread had mold on it n the coffee was like water and the housekeeper was watching everything we was doing it was very uncomfortable
I like that it was a comfortable atmosphere and daily room cleanings were on time. I would recommend to stay here. I will be back again.
The cleaning lady forgot to live toilet paper in the bathroom.
wifi extremely poor above the 3rd floor weak signal from router has not been looked after. After a struggle I had to move down to the second loor
It was cheap, a couple of blocks from the station, and the breakfast was free. Wifi was a bit "hit and miss" but this is a BUDGET INN. IT IS NOT A HOTEL. Towels were changed every day, and some of the staff were pleasant, some were not very helpful.
The floor I stayed on stated no smoking, so waking up every morning to the smell of weed and cigarettes was not good. Told desk staff and nothing was done. It is a little secluded, and taxi had issues finding it from Manhattan. Pillows smelt a bit, but shower worked, as did heater. Do not stay if you like the luxurious touch!! It is merely for resting your head!!
close to JFK and easily accesible.
noise from the rail due to closeness to rail line.
Easy access to rooms & parking .
Price of rooms for the location & facilities.
The bed was very comfy
It's hard to get in touch with the front desk and the wifi wasn't working
good hotel for that price
Everything was great! Very comfortable and the stay was well worth the money
The location is acceeptably close to a metro station with lines A, C and L which takes you directly to Manhattan (it takes between 30-40 minutes depending on if you take express or local trains). It worked OK for me since I was out of my room from 8 in the morinng to 8 at night. But as said, I wouldn't be so late out (after 8-9 p.m.). It really depends on how sensitive or conservative you are. The wireless connection in the room was good. I had to check my work emails and needed a stable connection, and it worked fine. They cleaned the room and changed towels every day. The air-conditioner (which also was a heated) worked fine and was needed when it was colder.
The location does not look 100% safe late at night. It is absolutely OK up until 8 - 9 p.m., but I wouldn't be there later than this time. The breakfast is served in a small room (around 12 square meters) with only 2 tables. So if you are not first in the room, you wouldn't get a place to sit. You have to take something and bring back to your room. It is NOT a "hotel" with a large entrance door and a big lobby, coffees shop, etc. It is a building with a super small reception with 1 man, where you can sleep in a room and there is a super small breakfast room. There is no restaurants, coffee shops, or fast food chains close by. You have to buy your food or fruits, etc. when you are in Manhattan or somewhere else. Don't expect to eat close to your "hotel". The room could have been clearner.
Scary, scary, scary -- I booked this online because it was one of the only reasonable priced hotels in Brooklyn. Arrived with my kids at 10pm at night, and we could not even get out of the car -- did not see any place to park, and the place was just in a dark, scary area with rundown, boarded up buildings and darkness and huge chain link fences with barbed wire all around. We never even got out of our car and ended up paying $380 for a few hours sleep at a Marriott in order to just be in a safe place! Never found a safe, reasonably priced (for middle class) place in Brooklyn - had to go to Newark Airport area where there are tons. Stayed at Hampton Inn - reasonably priced, free parking, clean, safe, friendly, etc.
Could not sleep the trains were every 5 seconds... the windows should have been triple glazing. Breakfast was disappointing that was nothing near to continental breakfast. I would not recommend it.
Very convenient for local transit to & from Manhattan/JFK Airport.
High noise levels from elevated subway lines nearby.
Dirty noisy would never recommend it!
How noisy it was staff was rude hair on the sheets dirty expensive
cleaners were very helpful efficient and prompt always pleasant when you met them in the elevators and hallways: convenience of short walk to subway and bus;
My booking requests were not met, even though done approx 2months in advance: the television never worked properly - no attempt to fix: room provided on arrival at 2 am was unsuitable
Noise Rude staff Bed bug found in the bed Hair and unidentified dirt in the bed Drug traiding next door Unsafe neighborhood
Close to the metro.
Very close to the railway overpass, and the trains run all night. Tiny breakfast room - we had to eat standing up. Small choice. Dodgy neighborhood. Avoid.
It was really okay for the price. What do you expect when you pay that price. So it was okay.
I like the convienence of getting to and from the public transportation system.
The loneliness of the location.
It was clean.
The room was a bit small. And we were right opposite the vending machine and dining area so whenever people come to use either we heard they're entire conversation.
Because I was familiar with NY and did not have a car the location was good. Convenient to all forms of public transportation which would take you into Manhattan. The room was nice, small, cosy. The small hallway well lit.
Picture is somewhat deceiving. Location is in an industrial area not very appealing. For the price the breakfast was very limited. You had to pay for coffee! The TV reception on many of stations very poor. Check-in made me feel it was an unsafe area. Person was behind glass enclosure
Access to Subway - Broadway junction Reasonable price
Noise, much too noisy! Location and surroundings Size of breakfest room, 2 tables only
