we firstly got the basement room with no windows....fortunatelly personel managed to change it. So watch out what u book:)
Closer to a metro.
Just one restaurant around the hotel, which is pretty good (Mike's pizza).
Aside from my neighbors who showed no regard they were sharing space with others and decided to smoke in the facility and come home at 6 am loudly, the staff was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful with places to go and directions. My room was clean and the bed was cozy, although I woke up a little stiff. The wifi needs help!! I would absolutely stay here again and I plan to my next visit. Within walking distance to Astoria and the subway. Although Uber is my favorite now.
The walls were a bit thin. I could hear my loud neighbors easily and someone kept slamming doors. I could also hear their alarm clock alllllll morning.
The hotel is 2 minutes walking distance from a subway station (N&Q 39th Ave). The Breakfast in the morning is free and great. The staff is friendly.
Proximity to Manhattan, mattress quality, relatively spacious room, helpful staff
Mildew on bathroom walls, constant noise from plumbing inside/outside room (and trains outside windows), breakfast sans any nutritional value (aging bananas sole fruit)
The location was convenient to the subway to Manhattan and other areas. The staff was very helpful and friendly. All in all, it was a great value for the price. I would not hesitate to stay there again.
-Easy access to 4 subway stations -- 15 minutes into the City. -Good price -Rooms were functional -- no complaints -Staff was excellent! -Area is completely safe at night. -Staff were willing to hold our luggage before we were able to check in and after we checked out.
-Hotel is near the Subway lines -- Honestly, it didn't bother us in the slightest because we were exhausted when we made it back to the hotel, but it might bother light sleepers. -WiFi signal was so faint that we couldn't access it from the 5th floor.
Good location near subway, clean room, free wi-fi and breakfast. Peaceful area. Around the corner was pizzaplace.
The main entrance was dirty and clouded my first impression of the hotel. The breakfast attendant in the morning did not follow safe food handling practices. He used the same cloth to wipe off his face and the food areas. The worst was when he blew on the grid of the waffle maker to get the crumbs off. I couldn't eat after seeing that.
Loved it was walking distance to a subway nice and quiet good breakfast friendly staff
Wifi was so poor ,
No place every breakfast
I requested for a non-smoking room but it was actually a smoking room.
I didn't like the noise and the smell of air conditioning. To me, the smell is because the filters weren't cleaned.
Only good location ..close to the subway ..
Breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, free milk for kids,24 x 7 availability of kitchen
Like many hotels in queens area this hotel is near metro. But metro station is above ground and you will face difficulty in carrying kids stroller above several flights of stairs.
Near subway, easy to access.
No convenient store.
Very near from subway. Only five minute walk. This subway line goes directly to Manhattan from Central Park to Financial district. $ 13 a day parking near the hotel. Clean room and very comfortable bed.
Very good location, close to 3 Metro station
can hear the train at night A/C very noisy Not a lot of restaurant, pub or bar around
Very close to the metro station. Room was clean
Excellent location for a visit to New York City. Close to 39th Ave station of subway N and Q lines, that take you the city (Fifth Ave) in about 15 minutes. Reasonably priced (for NY). Visitor-friendly neighbourhood, mostly hotels in surrounding area. We did not feel unsafe at any moment. Staff was friendly and helpful. We would stay here again, definitely.
No big issues. Area is noisy due to nearby subway and construction areas, though, nothing that earplugs can't fix. We read same comments in advance, and brought plugs. We were OK with it, but if you are a really light sleeper, consider staying in another hotel. Breakfast is not a feast, at first sight. We only booked a room. We went out to have breakfast in a small diner at the 39th Ave subway station, which was really nice.
Location, easy access to city/Manhattan.
There is a subway (over surface) near the hotel, and it is very very noisy. No matter on which side of the building your room is, it is still noisy. Also the A/C in the room was noisy too.
good location and good value for money
breakfast was not good.
Not many options for breakfast
Close to public transportation.
The heater did not work on the first night, so they switched us to another room, then the heater worked, however it made huge noises. This place is so noisy and you can hear the subway (it's not underground), and even the elevator was making a huge noise and you can hear it in your room. The overall experience was really awful, and I would not choose this place ever again!
