Decor was interesting, bed comfortable, clean
No bathtub, traffic noise too loud and goes on 24/7. Yes, I realize it's Queens/NYC and I come from the country. Not used to the noise.
From my initial call until check-out, the staff was wonderful. I have mobility issues and they helped me with my bags, selected an easy access room and daily asked if I needed help. There was a scrambled egg breakfast with a variety of breads and cereals.
There wasn't anything that I disliked. Though for people not from NYC, they should know this hotel is directly in line with a major highway and the noise that goes with it. Personally, it didn't bother me.
I luv their hot tub
The bathroom was kinda small
I was visiting New York one of the greatest cities in USA. I was staying in a very comfortable King Room which was listed in the hotel guide as one of the most affordable. The room overlooked a nice view of and the Long Island Expy and the decent scenery of the Forest Hill area. There is high definition television set and nice cable options. I enjoyed the nice breakfast served every morning. There are a variety of restaurants next door for which a variety of food can be obtained or delivered. The maids guaranteed that my room was immaculate every day; the receptionists as well the hotel manager were welcoming and extremely supportive. The Flushing Meadows Corona Park is at a walking distance for a walk, visit queens museum, Terrace on the Park amongst others. There was exceptional service from the hotel staff; they were quick and responsive to the requests including organizing for taxis. I will certainly recommend to friends and will stay here again!!
The only thing this place has going for it is the Jacuzzi and décor if your into that sort of thing. A/C & Heat Good. Rooms look clean, Marble floors look clean and better than usual carpets.
In King Size w/Spa Room: Room small but okay. No Microwave or Frig. No Closet, only hooks behind doors. No Board and Iron Bedding maybe clean but looks tired. Hotel: No Ice machine in hotel, have to call for ice. May have been great place when new but they need to fix curb appeal. Car on blocks missing front tires in parking lot looks like been there a while, this gives off negative vibes of the place. Parking is almost non existent, very small lot and always full. I would give this place a 2 - 2.5 star hotel. They should have gone with a little less décor and use that money on Microwave and Frig in each room. I wanted to stay as close to where I wanted to hang out which was Forest Hills for my stay and this was one option tried something different got the experience but next time will stick to a chain even if I need to go further to get basic amenities. Overall this is okay for a overnight or couple night stay. I had to stay 7 and without the above amenities it was getting old quick. If not already this place looks like a bring a date hotel.
Tv and snacks were reasonably priced. Nice front desk staff and great breakfast.
Convenient. Nice decor. Nice handicap access
Too few towels. No tissues. No light bulbs in lamps. No pastries for late sleepers.
Marble floors and all the extras!
sorry loved everything!
This hotel is very close to the main roads
The place to have breakfast is very small
Classiness of the vicinity Professionalism of the staff Quick, timely service Value for the price
Fridge didn't work, staff didn't seem to know
I liked the friendly staff and most the jacuzzi. In the room what a great place lots of fun.
The noise from the street and the smell was too strong.
The hotel was very clean and staff was very courteous.
The shower heads are too high. I am 5' 8" and I had to stand on my toes to adjust the showerhead. Difficult to rinse hair and body as the water spread too much because the showerhead was too high. Need to provide hand towels as well.
The place is beautiful. The staff is great.
Gets booked up pretty quickly have to book way in advance.
They brought ice to your room and anything you need.
They over charge.
Loved the bed, cleanliness, jacuzzi and service.
There wasn't anything not to like.
We visited for us open. Walkable distance to Flushing meadows. Intersting theme inside hotel. Free parking.
This is a very funky hotel with amazing décor and a fantastically helpful staff. The do it yourself breakfast was very plentiful and adequate. It is located across a park from the Ashe Tennis Center which was a bonus because we were going to the 2014 US Open. Delightful stay
nothing. All good
Actually using the jacuzzi was nice and the bed was comfortable. The decorations were unique to say the least.
I NEARLY DIED 4 TIMES!!! Getting in and out of the bath was a death trap, very slippery on the marble floors and because the bath walls were so high made it that much worse. Something should seriously be done about it. I have scraps on my legs to prove it
Clean and convenient to where our family event was held. Staff is very helpful.
Maybe eight parking spaces available and one of them was occupied by a rusting car up on jacks in the HANDICAPPED SPACE! I don't care if it was a Rolls. In the room you get a toothbrush but no Kleenex, no coffee maker and no ice bucket. We found out right before we left you have to call the front desk and have them bring ice up. Access is difficult, you have to go six blocks out of your way because of one way streets. Nothing to be done about that but still an aggravation.
I have used this hotel many times. It is clean and comfortable. It is located near the Q23 bus line which is about a 20 minute ride to the Austin Street shopping/restaurant district.
The hotel is on the Long Island Expressway which makes for annoying truck/car/motorcycle noise.
We enjoyed the fact that we were able to relax without any interruptions. The spa was beautiful. All in all a great stay for a reasonable price.
Parking was very limited.
We loved the Jacuzzi
there was a weird smell in the room and the hotel, we hated stepping out of the room because of the bad smell
