Was comfortable, clean and the offered breakfast was very good and accessible.
We received a room next to the stairs , day and night the stuff was opening and closing that door , the noise was terrible, plus , because of the fact that our room was in the corner , we didn't receive any wi fi connection , we had to go downstairs to surf the net.
Probably the best "free" breakfast during our trip Free shuttle service to metro Although front desk staff appeared totally un interested, others, especially the handy-man, were great
Room service was patchy, no sink plug for a start and hit and miss wether tea/coffee facilities were replenished. Location is beside a Freeway and it could get noisey It was busy at the time of visit and this seemed to push their resources a bit
No air conditioner in the lobby/dining, hallway smells
Close to the highway but still not noising
Later in the morning breakfast was not refurbished as in the early morning
Far from subway
Free parking . Breakfast incl .price
Very dated needs a makeover. Scruffy staff not all but some. Cheap bedding. Lumpy pillows. Noisy room needs tripple glazing. No light in bathroom just a table lamp plugged in very very dangerous. Dirty entrance.
Quiet, refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine, ironing board in room, parking, close to subway, complimentary breakfast, comfortable beds - overall very good.
When came back from a day out, no towels. Had to find someone at 2AM who didn't have enough towels. After next day out, only towels enough for one person. Small, but annoying hitch in otherwise good place to stay.
The window was facing the motorway, but it was usollating well enough so as not to hear the noise.
Awfully crowded breakfast, no diversity or protein choices. Far from any metro station (15-20 min walk). Dirty overall (common areas, room carpets, bed sheets, pillows). Persistent mold smell in the room and inability to open the window. Dated furniture, bathroom.
Cheap price for a pretty good, clean room, wifi worked great and only a 5 minute walk to the train into Manhattan.
We had to ask for refills of the in room coffee and towels which they told me to get from the laundry room and they were still in the dryer so I had to dig for them, also the plumbing was not so great.
Free parking (although limited); relative proximity to the subway (40th Street, Queens). The shower worked surprisingly well given the other abysmal state of the place. Not much else to like frankly (see the list of dislikes).
Hotel is generally not very clean, the room was tiny, the water faucet in the bathroom leaked, our room was not cleaned despite the fact that we left it at 9.30 a.m. on the first morning of our stay. The breakfast room was way too small, and while it is nice to have breakfast included, the selection of items was extremely limited.
Manager is gentle, enough food at morning.
We were in no smoking room but it smelled like smoking one. Rooms are smalls. The halls are full of trash at morning when housekeepers are cleaning and you can tripped on garbage. Lobby is hot in summer. Not enough towels, when we request an extra towel they said there are not more towels.
Ease of traveling to NY . Convenience of highways nearby. Also, many area food establishments delivered to hotel. Breakfast buffet had good selection. Convenient onsite parking which was free.
Breakfast area too small.
Good room size for the price.
1) Insufficient tables for the breakfast! Constantly people need to take breakfast to the room. 2) Rooms with the windows to the street are too noisy, a/c makes a lot of noise too.
he beds were comfortable, the breakfast was decent although the space to sit was scarce.
position: for those who have not the machine is far away from the metro. the towels were unclean. did not work the machine to make coffee. often the wireless was not working. the cleaning staff at 8 am beginning to make noise in the hallways.
I would like to highlight the excellent attention paid to us by the General manager Mr.Sanjay Barot and his staff during our stay
We had a room adjacent to the breakfast room. Apparently the back door to the parking lot was left open all night for air circulation and the locals used the breakfast room for a social gathering all night. Couldn't sleep with all the noise.
The front desk clerk was very very nice and she gave good service
Rooms are very small The overall space in the hall is small There is hardly any stoers in the neighborhood ( grocery) The train station is a 15 minutes walk. There are hardly any taxis from the train to the hotel
I like the location. The staff was also very friendly and always ready to help.
The wi fi connection was very poor.
The location, the price and the staff.
It is several steps up or down from the parking lot and the lobby. This is a problem if you have luggage.
Very nice and beautiful areas
Front desk offers a free shuttle to the 40th St subway station. Otherwise it's a brisk 15 min walk.
Every staff member was extremely accommodating. Nicole, Taghi, Melanie, LUIZ, Gary, however, it would be helpful if there could be more than one person at the front desk during busy times. We love the homey feeling while staying with you.
We have been staying at this location since it was the Queensboro Hotel.....Sadly, The cleanliness seems to be going downhill. The walls behind the beds were very dusty. More attention could be paid to details, like making sure the toilet seats are secure, refrigerators working properly, and cleanliness in general. (Drapes, bedspreads) Please know I am saying this only to be constructive. Breakfast is very chaotic
beds were nice &comfortable , close to metro to the city commute , free parking
lousy tv channel selection, lacked house keeping service, beds weren't made ,nothing was cleaned,no towels replaced ,we had to get them, breakfast time was chaotic
People were friendly. Close to Manhattan. Bed very comfortable.
Parking for guests is terrible...If you don't have a compact car it is very difficult to get in and out. Breakfast buffet was very basic. Good 5 min. wait before hot water reaches the shower.
