Overall our stay at the Ramada was pleasant. WHat made the stay really nice was the attention from the hotel staff. I needed change for the vending machine and one of the young ladies actually went out to her car to get me some change. WOW - this is above and beyond. The change wasn't available at the desk - I thought this was a very nice gesture and certainly it wasn't expected. |

The hotel is tired looking and hallway walls were dirty, paint was knicked, carpet worn through to the backing. Ice machines were missing on our floor but the signs were up. Someone needs to give this hotel a little tender loving care. |

The hotel staff was not helpful when we asked for directions, they did not answer the front desk phone on 5/6 times, there was a rodent in our room and they would not refund our money, the heat was out and we slept in a frozen room and they would not refund our money, and there was a water leak in our room which ruined leather boots and a coat and they. We left the hotel on the last night. |

quiet and peaceful. It was a little run down and a long way from anywhere of interest we had to use a taxi at all times. We were advised by the locals that it was not a good place to venture out at night. |

the hotel staff was excellent. The on site Restaurant has a great breakfast menue and buffett. The Restaurant Staff also very polite. too far from downtown. Website stated it was close to downtown chicago. The room could use a good cleaning from top to bottom, including all doors. |

I had a room with a view of Lake Michigan which was great and the location of the hotel was only 15 minutes by bus into downtown Chicago abd a five min walk to bus stop The first nite of arrival I wasn't greeted very well and was given a smoking room which left my clothes stinking in the morning. They did allowe to move to non smoking room and it was no problem them doing so which I was grateful for. |

I liked that they had free transportation to downtown Chicago. The location was beautiful at the lakeshore drive. Room not so fresh and there was only one restaurant nearby. |

The fact that the website lied about it's location. The decor is very shabby and the hotel run down. There is a continuous smell of accrid smoke throughout the hotel and the rooms. |

The breakfast buffet, which was included in the price, was excellent. Be prepared to pay over a dollar every time you pick up the phone and dial - whether the other party answers or not - doesn't really seem like a fair thing to do. |
