My siblings and I were in Chicago because our father was having open heart surgery. Upon returning from the hotel on Tuesday night, the individual (s) below us were smoking pot. The stairway was permeated with the smell. We could also smell it in our room. Upon waking up the next day, all of us had some second hand effects from this.
really nice shuttle driver who takes you into downtown or the medical center but only at two specified times.
they were remodelling when i got there and it did not look very nice from the outside. shower made a weird noise with hot water. room was a little cold and the highway is mildly loud.
Free shuttle to downtown and U Chicago. Free parking. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfy beds and good-sized room.
Wi-Fi and TV
The design of the hotel, carpet and environment.

We had to walk to the other building for meals.

Cleanliness Friendliness Location
Under construction but it is going to be fabulous when work is complete.
Room was clean bed was comfortable.
Hotel was being renovated so there was some construction inconvenience. Machines for sodas etc and snacks were not available. Front desk staff made no apologies for construction mess and noises.
Courtesy coach to downtown and McCormic however, the frequency could have been more.
Not many variety of eating joints in the hotel.
Surprise at the end: they charge 11.9% state tax and more than the stated rate on some days. So I payed about 28% more than the stated "full price"...
The room was large and very new.
Unfortunately, the Hotel is being renovated at this time.
Shuttle service was efficient and drivers were great. Room was newly renovated.
A little far from main attractions but free shuttle service helped.
Staff was very nice, specifically the day employees at the desk. Driver for the van service was delightful. Great service from her
I had to call everyday to have the room cleaned. It was only cleaned half the days when I did call. Wi-fi worked intermittently. Door key worked intermittently also. .
in mist of renovation had to walk through dirty garage to service elevator. Asked for renovated room staff said there were not ready for occupancy. Found out later that day many renovated rooms were available and some were already occupied. I could change but it would be $30/day more.Floors that were not renovated had very shabby hallway rugs and were dirty looking. Sink in bathroom did not have stopper that worked and molding in main room was coming off wall. Staff said they would have maintenance take care of it --no one ever came for 3 days .
I liked the food at the restaurant and hi speed wifi.
I didn't like that I arrived from the chicago marathon extremely tired only to find my key had been deactivated. The receptionist claimed that I had not paid room charges for the 3rd night despite having reserved and paid upon checkin for 3nights. We later realized that the meals we were consuming during our stay was being deducted from our accomodation fees. As is normal practice with many hotels worldwide, the extras consumed are usually charged separately upon check out which was what I expected. Deactivating my room key without prior explanation as if I am a thief is a no! No!. I was extremely dissapointed.
The room was clean, furnishings were solid but outdated. The bathroom had been recently remodelled but was poorly designed. Surprisingly comfortable bed.
Staff were indifferent. The place is being reovated, and it needs to be. The exterior is very shabby.
the lake view
the corridor and room door lock
clear and sleep
a little wifi
location able to walk to museum On site restaurant best steak ever! Very clean!
Pillows not comfortable In process of remodel- did not mention that online Being bought by another co. Did not mention online.
Room was clean. Good discount on the Buffet breakfast at the restaurant next door, pretty good choices of food, fresh fruits.
Outer appearance and lobby was not the best. Access to the hotel from the main road if difficult and confusing even with an up to date GPS device.
The Luxurius King sized bed ! (I have a small European double bed in my apartment in my home in Paris !)
The distance necessary to get to the bus stop & subway. Couldn't stay out late at night (past 11 pm) without having to return to the hotel by taxi... I can't imagine what it must be like in the dead of winter to have to walk at least 15-20 minutes to the bus stop, then take a half-hour bus ride in order to arrive "downtown". Fortunately the weather was splendid during the 5 days i stayed in your establishment so I didn't mind the walk.
