I enjoy the shottle the hotel offers
No walking distance activities
The hotel is under renovation and it should n't be used for guests.
Loved the shuttle driver john he was great
Close to the lake, quiet and convenient, rather clean
staying longer than few days breakfast could have a bit more of a choice
The maid service was excellent. The front desk staff was friendly. The view was beautiful.
The construction woke us up early. The place was alittle hard to find. For the price we paid there should of been a mini fridge and microvave in the room.
Wifi can be better!
standard hotel room good room to sleep and to get in and get out
The proximity to the lake and parks.
AC was not working while outside temp was in 80s. No one did anything about it. The sheets, towels and the entire room smelled of mustiness. The worst of all - Incredibly rude and unhelpful staff (at the reception).
Metro not so far away; commercial room to be used
wifi works not so good, but fortunately the commercial room is open to guest.
Lights didn't work. Out window was left cracked and there were spiders we had to kill:-(
Tons of spiders outside of door. Had to ask the staff to get rid of them(which they did). Building was quite old. Hopefully the outside will be rehabbed as well.
John the shuttle driver was informative & helpful in every way, He was polite & gave us some good information for places to eat, And just a lovely guy and the way he conducted his services. A credit to the hotel to have such a present person.
The Tarmac seal in the car park as was still tacky and soiling the carpet in the car,as well as the unit.
Proximity to lakefront trail Free parking Adjacent restaurant Low cost
Exterior in poor shape Disturbed by noisy patrons entering shared entrance at night Thin walls for sound insulation
The hotel was ideally located for public transport as well as commuting to the city center by car. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The staff was friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, courteous and helpful. I liked the fact that the parking and wi-fi was free. I had an enjoyable, restful stay there.
This is an older hotel. They are doing some major renovations to the exterior and interior. Once completed, it will be even better.
Location was terrible and so was the neighborhood. It was loud teenagers on the parking lot 2&3am in the morning. Very disturbing and scary.
Staff was uncommunicative and uneducated about their job duties, didn't know what time their shuttle arrives or departs, was told different information by different staff members
The food in the cafe is amazing!! It is tasty and very big serving portions. The pool is also very clean. The staff at the front desk were super friendly and helpful.
The wifi signal is very weak and the rooms are a little worn down. Our shower made crazy noises when we used it.
the condition of the exterior was in poor condition especially parking lot, the interior hallways were in very poor condition walls were dirty and carpet very worn and wrinkled would not recommend
There was a loud party outside the hotel rooms that the hotel staff could not control and it was almost threatening to the rooms that did report the disturbance.
This hotel honestly isn't that bad if you're not going to be staying at the hotel frequently. My friends and I just slept and showered after a long day in the city. Shuttle bus is provided however runs at certain times of the day. Overall the staff was friendly and the bed was comfortable.
The carpet smelled, the Wi-Fi didn't work, the shuttle bus run from 9:30-7 therefore if you're planing on staying all day in the city (Sun up to Sun down) than prepare to take a $20 taxi cab to the inner city. The resturant on property was cheaply priced, buffet style but tasted awful. Overall this hotel doesn't offer many amenities but it's a decent hotel to rest your head after a long day and the price is cheaper than any other hotel closer to the city.
Location: near the museums that we wanted to see. Staff were competent but not overly friendly Room changed the next day, but the keys didn't work. Free parking Price, not bad
no nearby reasonable place to eat shabby, has seen better days constuction: hammering etc in the am booked a double, spent the first night in a king, had to have a cot brought in, no apologies.
The roomy was in bad and unsafe location. The front was directly opposite my room at the down floor and unlocked. Anyone could enter the inside o f hotel as the door had no lock. The room was smelling very badly. The towels provided in the bathroom were the most ridiculous things I ever saw. I was scared for my life since the room I was assigned was directly by the front door and the front had no lock, allowing just anyone to come in and out of the hotel. I will never stay in the hotel again.
being right across the street from lake michigan. it was quite because we where about 15mins from downtown.they had a shuttle bus that was perfect 3 main drop off stops so you could see everything and the best part James the driver he was a great tour guide on the way to your stops he could tell you anything about chicago he was a great pleasure to see everyday thank you james . the bathroom real clean thats a plus
wish they had a microwave you could use thats all
