Royal Sonesta Hotel New Orleans    

Location is great, right on Bourbonstreet and close to most points of interest. Still no noise and very relaxing on the inside. There's a beautiful outside pool. Also parking is no problem in the garage underneath the hotel. We were there for Jazz Fest, which was about a 45 minute walk on Esplenade ave. along gorgeous 19th century mansions.

Some minor annoyances were the lack of a coffeemachine in your room, especially because the lines in the morning at the hotel coffeeshop were impressive. Also no drinks at the swimmingpool.

Good hotel, grand location in the French Quarters, walking distant to many "worth see" locations in the city. Good breakfast at the nearby Oyster Bar. Parking at the hotel (40$/day in house)

Rented 2 rooms (pre-paid) still they insisted they haven´t received any payment, despite the fact I was carrying a recite.

Rooms and Staff were great.

Stayed 3 nights and could not sleep all night because the Bars were open tell 5AM and the noise was so loud , impossible to sleep tell after 5AM. Had room on the Bourbon Street side of Hotel.

The comfortable beds and pillows. The cleanliness of the bathrooms. The onsite parking. The courtyard.

The high price of the rooms. The state and local taxes.

The staff was great! The rooms were very clean! It was close to everything!!!

Excellent room and overall comfort.

Breakfast on 'exclusive' 7th floor was disappointing. Scrambled egg and bacon was cold. Juice was provided in plastic cups on first morning. Hot water for tea was lukewarm, even when replaced.

Great location, it is where we stay if we go to NO Knowledgable concierge (older gentleman with Pete Fountain mustache/goatee), totally helpful Fantastic location Manages to be an island of cleanliness and calm in midst of Bourbon St craziness, that's the great thing about it Glad to see Desire is part of its management, tons less seedy

The Royal Sonesta is a very nice hotel. Every aspect of the property is amazing including the Desire Oyster Bar which serves the best breakfast and suppers. Oh and let's not forgot the Po-Boy sandwiches - a must have at Desire! Located right on Bouben Street in the middle of the action ..tons of fun! You will not go wrong when booking this hotel for your next stay in New Orleans.

We are not huge partiers but did enjoy being on Bourben Street - we thought it would of been nice if the hotel had some outdoor seating within their property so their guests could relax and just people watch. This certainly does not and would not deter us from staying here again ..it would be our first choice when choosing a hotel in New Orleans

The personnel was very nice and considerant to elderly people

We were not allowed in the parking garage for a very extended time. I realize the VP was in town however I was driving around and around and having never traveled to New Orleans I was very frustrated trying to get to the parking garage and checked in. It was very upsetting for me as I am 67 and was so nervous. Thanks to GPS the young lady stayed on the phone and talked me through the long experience. The personell was great after we finally got to enter the parking garage.

The staff was very accommodating. The rooms were clean and nice and the location was perfect. Although on Bourbon St., It was quiet in the rooms.

I didn't like that many of the guests were smoking marijuana on the non-smoking floor and the scent constantly drifted into our room. It was so strong that we actually were awakened numerous times throughout the night...for all three nights we stayed.

All your staff were very friendly and helpful. We didn't have worries or disappointments.

As always the location is simply fantastic , but as soon as you enter the hotel all the chaos of Bourbon Street disappears to enter a world of class and impeccable service

Close to everything in french quarter.

Reserved a queen. Given room with2 twins. Had to complain to get fixed the next day.

Convience to French Quarter. All employees from garage attendants to bus boys/men were very helpful and courteous.

I had the feeling that everything had a price. In the mornings I enjoy a cup of coffee. At the Sonesta it cost over three bucks for a cup of coffee. At their prices, free coffee wouldn't break them.

The staff was wonderful, The hotel was beautiful and the Christmas decorations were beautiful also.

We had trouble with the tv and the room was small. We also had breakfast the first morning at the Oyster bar and the coffee was cold and the breakfast was luke warm.
