I like the accessibility to the Airport, Checking at any time
Have to pay for parking, Room dated
Walking distance to terminals. Generally quiet rooms with good soundproofing
This is the second time I had to struggle for basic needs. After a 30 hour trip from Asia I arrived once again, to "how's your day going so far?" Which day is that? - I'm still in tomorrow's time zone? How about a quick check in, recognizing exhausted travelers don't want a long chat? Good intentions, but a pre-cooked greeting and the implication that you MUST answer that question is frustrating and a bit insulting. Then the usual comedy of errors. I just really wanted a warm cup of decaf and to go to sleep. First the coffee maker, spit out steam and ruined the pack of decaf. I called down for a working coffee maker, and specifically requested a pack of decaf. A very polite non- English speaking lady showed up with a coffee maker and 10 packs of coffee- no decaf. As soon as I realized, I called again, and 20 minutes later got the decaf. All in 30-45 minutes for a simple request. Every visit to this hotel results in some minor, but frustrating event that results in an extended wait for basic services. Also, I arrived in a rental car and asked to leave it just long enough to check in. They greeted me sharply with "OK- I'll give you 15 minutes." I know it's difficult for foreign language speakers, but how about something a bit smoother instead of an implied threat? If the smiling greeter, can ask how your day is going so far, perhaps they'd like to hear that the valet people just slapped you in the face? There remains an element of negative attitude. Maybe it's just LA, but after traveling to London, Hong Kong and Beijing, you expect a level of genuine courtesy which just doesn't come through here, with the exception of a few staff who are terrific.
Airport location - ideally for transit in LAX
The hotel was in an excellent location, near the airport. Staff were excellent in organising a sight seeing tour during the time I had before my flight.
Difficult to find the shuttle bus from the airport,
Great staff and close to airport for weary long haul travellers
The location is ideal for LA intl airport.
They could alter their billing system and refrain from pre-charging the deposit for extras. On final check out, reversing the unbilled amount can be time consuming with the credit card companies.
Shuttle to the airport Close to the airport
Beds and wifi service
If you book your stay here through this site you'll be treated like a 2nd rate guests! I've been a returning customer several times over because it was a clean place but this was my last stay here.! Beware: rundown dirty rooms!! Mildew smell in the pillows, stains on the walls & carpet & no running warm /hot water to shower. I could have stayed a few blocks up the street at m0tel 6 & had a cleaner room with warm water to shower. I left several messages for the manager including email & phone explaining my terrible experience but it's been 2 weeks & no reply. The staffs attitude here is increasingly snobby, when I politely complained about the issues with my stay at the front desk I was treated as if I had to complain because I booked through here. 3Rd time I've been placed in a shabby room that was not the room I booked. I book a "deluxe 2bed airport view" room & get a shabby 1 bed on the back side of the hotel. Very apparent persons with disabilities & 3rd party bookings are not welcome and are not treated like 1st rate customers. You've been warned.
Plugs, no extras room, shower cap, shower gel
Situated at the Airport
1KM walking to Hotel from Airport Terminal
To be honest, I was skeptical after reading the critical reviews on here - they are indeed going through renovations and a recent management change. BUT, the hotel and its staff especially, were nothing short of amazing! Great location. Great sound proofing (you barely hear the planes). Comfortable beds! Fast wifi! Everything was great! Not one thing let me down.
I couldn't believe how easy it was to get from the airport to the hotel and also back to the airport the next morning. That made it so very very convenient because we had little time to sleep due to schedule changes.
Walking distance to airport
I continue to have problems there. The check in clerk was friendly but asked me a lot of inane questions. when I got to my room there were no working lights and the TV didn't work. I called repeatedly and got no response at reception or the operator. finally I went in person has to have the light fixed. When I return to my room later the key wouldn't work, followed up by more delays and more irritating problems. I feel that this hotel continues on a downward slide. I only stay there because of the location.
Staff resolved absorbed a Booking.com Website error with $20 voucher.
Booking.com website has wrong hotel phone number. If you call and get a recording, it is likely a woman who no longer works for the hotel. She says she will call back, but no. I waited for 30 minutes at airport for shuttle--finally paid $20 for 1/2 mile ride to hotel--all because the phone number is incorrect on Booking.com
I liked that the staff was very nice
The hotel was understaffed. I need my fridge replace and I had to call three times over the course of 3.5 hours. The food is overpriced and nothing to write home about as far as taste.
Staff was very attentive and the Food in the Bar/Lounge was very good. Even though we could see the Airport runway from our window there was no Airport noise.
Our room smelled like stale smoke. The light switch in the bathroom was falling apart. There was only one light switch for the room and no lights by the bedside.
Everything else was great
My carpet was wet all around the fridge 6 ft around.
Staff were incredibly friendly and professional; more than what one usually encounters in the US. Convenient, super facilities. Definitely would stay there again.
the free shuttle from the airport Good advices from the rental car attendee located inside the hotel.
I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. The food in the bar/lounge was wonderful and priced decently. The bed and pillows were super comfy and I didn't want to get out of bed at all. The hotel offered so many amenities and was much fancier then I expected. The free shuttle came every 10 minutes. The hotel was nice enough to accommodate my late check out request with no problem. Our room had an excellent view of the airport and some changing light things that the kids will enjoy. The room was also very soundproof of outside noise considering its close proximity to the airport.
If I had to make a complaint it would be of noises within the room. There was some various sounds that came and went that sounded like water pipes and perhaps the heating system. It was not a major issue for me but may bother a light sleeper.
The rooms are spacious.
There isn't any breakfast included in the cost. Probably the most expensive hotel near the LAX airport
the bed, the service and the cleanliness of the room.
the bathroom. very outdated and the floor of the tub was peeling up and very unattractive. i opted to take a shower at the lounge at lax rather than the hotel.
Location was terrific and the free airport shuttle ran every 15'.
No breakfast available before going to the airport -- would have been nice to pick up a bagged breakfast/coffee.
