The location saved us loads of money on rides to/from the center of the city. Even so, we didn't have to break the bank to stay here - fantastic value!
They were able to check us in early to help us get to our event on time. Sleep number beds were nice.
WiFi was a bit sketchy, walls are thin.
The shuttle that takes you downtown.
There were drunk guests who were fighting in the hallways, making lots of noise in the middle of the night!
Location, room service, clean.
I was meeting friends here and we made a point to ask to be on the same floor. Didn't happen. They booked on line like I did and they "couldn't find it" almost did get a room at all.
don't stay any more
This is a well-located hotel for ease of access and view; it's just off the highway and only minutes from downtown.
Wallpaper was starting to peel, it was so cold in the pool room that there was frost on the INSIDE of the window frames, and the restaurant showed some serious signs of age.
I enjoyed the hot tub, it was fairly large for a hotel.
The staff was friendly and the in room service was also very good.
Room was clean, price was good for location.
Room was clean heater was broken.
Not worht the price at all....no one seems to care and it is very disorganized.
Select number bed was nice.
Went for Valentines getaway. The room had lots of wall damage with stains and paint peeling. Pool area was freezing, "heated" pool was cold. Had to ask for towels by pool. Encountered rude manager in restaurant after we seated ourselves after waiting 10 minutes, because no one appeared to seat us, although restaurant was 3/4 empty. The food was mediocre at best, and overpriced. The bar area had only one bartender, and it took an hour to get a drink. There was an issue with the billing of the room charges, and got a runaround trying to talk to billing person. Phone rang at least 40 times when trying to call front desk. Very unprofessional in they way they handled everything. Do NOT book here at any price.
The north side location was a plus, and staff were friendly.
Wifi did not work at all for two days straight, despite repeatedly informing the concierge. Bed was a mechanical, customizable sort which was uncomfortable but this was not indicated prior to reserving the room.
Courtesy van was a nice option to get downtown. Clean and quiet
Check in was a pain and a hassle. Long lines and took forever.
Arrived early after driving 10 hrs through thd night and was allowed to check in early and not charged for another day. Guys at front desk were great!
Woke up around 11am after a few hrs sleep and whe we pulled the blanket back discovered the bed was covered in hair- pillows sheets, mattress pad- everywhere! Gross!! Contacted housekeeping and they changed it right away but was still pretty disturbed by the fact we had actually slept in the bed. Glad we weren't charged for early check in. Also we were looking forward to using thd hot tub after a long drive but it was warm at best so we didn't bother, sauna was out of service and limited exercise equipment needs to be replaced. Treadmill had to be about 20 years old and belt slipped.
Clean, quiet, nice room, nice staff, cheerful & helpful, including free parking with visible security; & free shuttle service to center city. Worth a decent tip! Nice clean indoor pool & sauna .
awkward location, not close to the overhead walkways downtown. (perhaps not fair, because it was -9 degrees F. outside in February.)
I didn't like the hotel at all I found a different hotel to stay at, the price they have online for a two night stay is a lie, it said $230.86 and when I got there they told me it would be $500 no thank u,
The staff are very helpful and attentive. The hotel is very close to downtown and easy to get in and out. Free parking is nice.
The wifi was down through out most of my stay. The staff are always helpful but didn't know how to resolve until the third day of my stay. I was traveling for leisure so it wasn't a big deal for me but I'm sure it would annoy someone traveling for business.
first time in grand rapids. its so close to down town, so the location was very convenient. the beds were sleep number and they were amazing.
the shower is not meant for tall people, but im kind of used to that now.
The omelette we had for breakfast was outstanding.
There were only 2 bath towels in our bathroom the room was small, there was enough lighting. The hotel didn't have our reservation and neither the property or booking.com would own the problem.
Shuttle to downtown & band at bar
the friendliness of the staff -- the prices and restaurant bar were competititive
not necessarily that we did not like it but the rooms with the two beds on the 7th floor the rooms were small an a bit uncomfortable to get around.
Loved the bed
No staff elevator. Very slow and was tied up in the morning with hotel housekeeping and their carts.
Very comfortable bed! Pretty quiet. Not a bad price. Close to downtown.
The lobby smelled a little like smoke, but the rooms didn't.
The guy who delivered my room service order was great! Also, another staff guy asked if i needed help after I dropped my purse looking for my room key...I appreciated the ask.
The room was clean.
I was initially surprised to walk into the lobby and see brochures for Days Inn. I would have never paid what I did to stay at a Days Inn. WiFI was not working the first night and following morning of our stay. The beds were not very comfortable. My sleep number didn't work. My son's worked but the bed was so creaky that every time he moved through the night it would wake us up. At one point, I had considered canceling my second night and paying twice as much to go to a hotel downtown. I will not stay here again.
