the restaurant next door
bathrooms small no counter space
Loved the 1 bedroom suite
Hated the elevator, could fit a maximum of 5 ppl. One elevator in a 18 story hotel
Loved the location, we parked and were able to walk to everything we did
Room temperature was set at 85 degrees when we first our room, we immediately turned off our heat, but could not get the room to cool down, called front desk and was told someone would come up to see what they could do and no one ever came, was not able to sleep well as it was too warm, next day someone finally came up and had to open the window to get room to cool down
This hotel is perfectly situated for all that Chicago has to offer. Just a block away from Michigan Avenue and The John Hancock Building, and close to restaurants, museums, and shopping. It's well-kept and upscale. Staff is friendly. Rooftop bar is classy.
Great location! Walking distance to tons of shopping and fabulous restaurants!
Lobby is a bit small.
Location ,stuff ,comfort bed
No breakfast When we ordered food it was bad
I love the location and the convenience of the water tower, lake front, and other sites that Chicago has to offer.
I didn't like the small elevator's and I didn't like that you don't have bathtubs only showers if it wasn't for that it would have been a exellent pick.
All services are handled via text, very convenient!
very friendly staff big room nice kitchen FREE WiFi
one window did not fully close at it's very windy in Chicago -> room 402 :-)
Great hotel, great location. Would definitely stay again!
Room was too dark.
Room size, room size, room size! Great bed. Great location especially for MCA
Shower didn't have a door so water splashed into bathroom a little
Room size and greatest TV in a room I have ever had. The rooftop bar is great space.
Ridiculous parking charges, and crazy elevator system. Only one elevator goes to the bar.
Loved the location and ambience. This was second stay w/ Raffaello. I would recommend hotel to other travellers, excellent staff.
Room and bath didn't seem as large as when we stayed for Thanksgiving 2013. Don't like having to pay for WiFi.
VERY RUN DOWN HOTEL
Location, Location , Location
Only two small, slow elevators, long wait times in morning and evening
Excellent Location: 2 min to John Hancock tower. Within 10 mints you can walk to Macy's, Nordstorm, Bloomingdales and chain shops. Also a cheezecake factory is in 2 mins walk which convinient for you to have a lunch or dinner.
Air Conditionor is a little noisy.
The hotel is just walking distance away to most of the Chicago city attractions. If walking is not your thing, several modes of transportation options exist!
Try to avoid a room near the elevator if noise disturbs your resting. People are usually talking while leaving or returning.
Great stay, cheaper than many other options. Location location location, shopping on the door step easy access to beach and city. Public transport very near
Small public areas
Unfortunately I was given a beautiful room, but a room that wasn't ready to receive a guest (second floor, last room of the corridor): the iPhone dock was broken, the sink was broken (no water and actually broken), the bathroom drain didn't drain, the door lock broke as soon as I got into the room... I was told some manager would get in touch, something that didn't happen. Anyways, the place is beautiful and full of character, but I was chosen (and I was too tired to complain, and it was just for a night). Ow, and the wi-fi was actually good and for free.
My last night a roach was walking around on the floor.
The hotel is in a very good location and the price is comparable to other hotels in the same area. The room was very spacious and clean, it had a fridge and a microwave.
The room was cold, the ventilation system extremely noisy and ineffective. The hotel has no buffet breakfast, which, given the price, is ridiculous. Despite the room being extremely spacious (they upgraded me to the suite) it was cold and its interiors old, except perhaps for the bathroom. About the cold problem: I complained with the reception first, and asked for extra blankets to sleep comfortably. They sent someone to check the heating, and reported that one window was not properly closed and hidden behind the curtains. The night after the room was still cold, so I reported again. They told me that the room is on a corner and therefore is harder to heat up, as if that was a reason for the heating not working properly. The problem was never fixed and the room temperature still wouldn't go up to a comfortable temperature even with the heat working at full speed, which by itself was extremely annoying as the noise would make it hard to sleep.
Excellent location very near to shops. Getting around was easy on both buses and trains and also very cheap. Room and bathroom facilities excellent. Had a problem with the toilet and reported it. It was rectified within fifteen minutes. Very helpful staff. I would most definitely stay here again and recommend it.
A kettle in the room to make tea.
Room set up decor Staff attention Location Drumbar
I checked in telling them it was my husbands birthday and Paul at the front desk was so nice and helpful he asked if he could buy us a drink on the 18th floor at the Drum bar. I thought that was very nice touch and a great way to start our weekend!
Bathroom was rather small
