I love the location of the hotel.

Nothing that I don't like about Rafaello

The location, cleanliness, friendliness of the doormen and housekeepers. The little restaurant in the lobby. The courtesy of the employees on check in and check out.

The woman at the computer desk for help with travel around the city, she gave us a lot of misinformation. The coffee in the room. The small lobby. Not enough closet space in our room.

Our room was lovely . U was in a Mother - Daughter get away and we lived our stay. We are world travelers and found Raffaello to rank very nicely in our list! The staff was amazing and so friendly! We LOVED Drumbar! Very sophisticated and trendy scene!

We didn't like the fact that there isn't a restaurant serving breakfast in the hotel. Fix that, and you have reached perfection! I might add, the little place you recommended across the street though was very nice.

The rooms were very quiet! Beds comfortable, bathroom nice.

The heat in our room didn't work, and the curtains didn't quite close all the way, so it was very bright in the mornings.

Privacy of room. The shower was very nice. Location to shopping and downtown was excellent.

Bathroom was small. TV was poor quality.

The staff were the BEST!

Cleaning staff came to our room each day too early (8:30) as we were on vacation and were awoken with the knocking. Not really a big deal tho.

The lobby looked beautiful and stylish. The decor was confirmed in the rooms. Without asking for it we got an upgrade to a little suite. We loved our stay.

My only minor negative comment: no tea bags, only coffee.

Parking! They need to explain parking better. How to get in and out etc to use the hotel parking. They tried to bill me for parking at the hotel and I didn't park there. I parked right across the street.

A comfortable and luxury hotel in the best location of the town, maybe. Perfect for leisure.

The bathroom (so narrow for a suite!) and the so-called SPA (there's not at all any, so better don't tell there is. A message service could not be consider a SPA).

We were upgraded to a suite!! Made for a very pleasant 4 day visit.

Room staff forgot to leave coffee and mugs. When asked they brought coffee, no mugs. Then eventually mugs! Not a big deal. The Drumbar is way overpriced btw

the location was perfect, a quite turnaround at downtown Michigan Ave, the famous cheesecake factory was just around the corner too! the interior and outerior design is very nice, traditional and luxurious.

the only thing I'd wish for is a bathtub in the room.....instead of just a shower

The Petite Queen is very very small. Couldnt really do business work in the room. Also, becuase of location directly above reception/guest living area, it was impossible to ignore every conversation from below, even with door closed.

I loved the location! One block from the John Hancock building, 2 blocks from all the stores on Michigan Ave. in a beautiful neighborhood! Very walking friendly.

The shower set up in the bathroom was weird. It had a rain style showerhead but only a half glass panel with no door. The back part of the shower was completely open which got the floor rather wet.

Excellent location Rooftop plus bar, but bar was not open on Monday evening. Less expensive offsite parking across the street.

My original room had wet carpeting and mold on baseboard!

The staff went above and beyond to accomodate us when we commented about the noise next door.

We liked the use of the security card in the elevators. Nice, friendly atmosphere.

Difficult to find a seat in the lobby. People with computers hog the seating and stay put for hours. Realize the coffee shop is not yours, but have never seen so many gooey, rich, sugary donuts in all my life. Would have loved to have a simple donut (for not everyone can eat what they serve), but the young lady said simple donuts just don't sell. And so, we were forced to have our coffee etc. elsewhere. Keep in mind, that fewer people than ever eat what you serve. It is very unhealthy, causes diabetes etc. Times have changed. Besides, in all my life, I have never seen a donut with a strip of greasy bacon on it. Yuk !

Very spacious room, lovely rain-style shower, comfortable bed, fantastic rooftop bar, nearly lakefront location.

I waited to post this review, hoping the management would resolve an issue, so that I could give them a better review. There was an issue upon check-in that was never resolved. Over the course of my stay, I spoke with six on-site staff members, my partner back home called the on-site manager, and I wrote a letter to the gm whose in-room welcome letter boasted 100% customer satisfaction. Well, that's all a load of hooey. I had *hoped* that the problem was "speaking with people who had no authority to fix the problem," and instead, it's that no one--at any level of management--cares to address the absence of an amenity that is ADVERTISED (both on Booking.com and on the hotel's website) as a feature. When I asked for, say $100 off the $1000 I spent to stay at this hotel for five nights, as a show of good faith for this inconvenience that sent me out of the hotel daily to FIND what was advertised as existing in-room, it was suggested that I check in at another hotel in the area. Considering I had pre-paid for my stay at the Raffaello, this was simply insulting. It's a shame, as this hotel is gorgeous and there are quite a few lovely elements about staying there. But the ONE thing that I needed--and on which I made my decision about where to stay, for this trip--was not only NOT available, but was something about which I was *lied to*, as I spoke to multiple people to discern the real truth. Stop selling features that you don't offer. I paid more for my room because the cost of in-room Internet was a part of the price (whereas other hotels in Chicago charge a daily fee). I simply could've chosen a hotel at which I would've paid each day, upon login... instead, I had to leave my room and search out hotspots in the city despite whatever weather conditions, at whatever hour, and NO ONE seemed to care that this vastly impacted the quality of my stay... on a BUSINESS trip. Damn shame.

The front desk and door staff were above average excellent. Very kind and good with greeting us and helping direct us.
