The amenities are being renovating
WiFi signal was poor
The place is in the midst of major renovations and as such is a construction site with dust and grit everywhere, unvacuumed carpets, rude construction workers, and front desk employees who don't appear to have even a rudimentary understanding that they are in the hospitality business. If it were possible to rate this dump with negative numbers, I'd do it. Folks, find somewhere else to stay -- this place was pathetic.
The lady who checked us in was extremely helpful and professional. Room was excellent and comfortable, Breakfast was great. Excellent value at under USD100 for the night, but the price will probably go up after the upgrades are finished.
Lots of work still to be done and it was obvious. However this didn't affect our room or breakfast. 6.25 in the morning we asked the receptionist to book a taxi. He didn't do this till about 6.40 and we were late getting to the airport (just as the airline was cutting off the luggage checking for our flight). He (receptionist) was obviously sick and unpleasant sounds of him hacking up phlegm were quite disgusting. One and only vending machine out of order.
It was close to where I had to be in the morning
They did not tell me that this place was going under remodel, reconstruction, there was no carpet or flooring in the hallways and the room numbers were all on painters tape, very disappointed.
The rooms are very comfortable.
The hotel was under constructions and nobody told us.
First of all, the place doesn't have their name ANYWHERE outside. We drove around in circles for 15 minutes because our GPS said we were there and all we saw was a construction site and other business buildings. The whole place was torn up. No wear to get drinks. Vending machine on our floor was gone. Vending machine downstairs was broken. Pushed button for the one elevator, it never came. Bathroom sink had strange holes in it. Computer chair had stains on it. Bed was stiff as a board. No comforter for the bed, just 2 sheets. It was just not what we were expecting. I didn't see any warning that it was being redone on the site that I booked it on. My mistake if it is actually listed somewhere.
It was cheapest place in Pittsburgh and only place left with 2 rooms because we were going to a concert.
The place doesn't even have a sign with the name or anything on the building. The place is completely ripped apart. The rooms and bathrooms are done but the hallways are horrible and the elevators. The bath tub doesn't drain while showering and they just wallpapered over the old receptacles.
Massive construction effort. No Name of hotel visible. Switching from Clarion to Crown Plaza. Front desk was unidentifiable. Room numbers identified w/painters tape. Dust Everywhere. 3rd world experience with hometown flare
Location is ideal for visiting the area. Easily hop on the parkway to the entire Pittsburgh area.
Renovations were underway and we had to wind our way around workers, but we knew that when we booked it. The rooms are renovated, good bedding and updated baths. WiFi worked on 1st fl only
Friendly and competent (if not overly driven) staff. Comfortable room, provided with caffeinated coffee packets on request. Use of refrigerator.
(Re-)construction and re-carpeting dust, adhesives, debris. "Free WiFi" without Internet connection despite repeated requests. Cups, utensils, and the like all plastic / Styrofoam (even cardboard would have been greener), not to say glass. Breakfast buffet food all cold.
No record of our reservations of room booking.com. Hotel completely full. Only got a room bc couple was not satisfied w room.
Completely being renovated. Room was very dirty
Booking .com did not tell me the hotel was under construction. They did not tell the hotel i was coming.
No internet. It's mess all over with construction going on everywhere...elevators are filthy...stairways are dirty...overall the appearance is disgusting!!!
The free breakfast was decent, particularly after the pathetic experience with the room.
Why did we not know that the hotel was under renovation when we booked the room; dust, dirt everywhere; the bedding and covers had stains and were obviously not changed after the previous guests; actually found a paper tissue under the bedcover; the air conditioner barely worked; the TV did not work; the "office" (a temporary room) staff were indifferent. What else is left to say.
It was under construction the office was in a room of the hotel .and it shouldn't been operating for business
Nothing much, just the location is close to freeway.
The hotel is under major renovation which no one should bring staying there. There was wires hanging from ceiling, dust cover the everywhere and we we're just breathing dust. They should mention that before you book the place & they should close it down for reno, it's like sleeping in a construction site. My kids were afraid to step out of the room, the dust was in the air & everywhere. So disappointed, there's no way this place can be a 3 star at this current condition. We even move a table to block the door at night cause we don't feel safe. Please check out the hotel before having it on the site for booking. Will think twice before booking thru bookings again, you don't seem to know the places you recommend.
Filthy no lobby. Pool closed. Stairways blocked. Construction workers working inside and on elevators. Hotel should not accept guests at this time
Where do I start. The Hotel was filthy!!!! That should be enough said to make anyone think twice about staying there.
Disorganized and dirty
Breakfast and dining staff was reasonable
Facility under major reconstruction. Dust everywhere. Rooms appear unclean. Asked for clean sheets to avoid contact with bed. Owners trying to make money during reconstruction. Facility deserves "0" stars. Very unhappy with Booking.com for giving the location a higher rating.
Beds were very comfortable.
Unfriendliness of staff Inablility of staff to help with problems While I recognize that there was construction going on, that did not make a reason for the staff to not be friendly and helpful. I think that the facility should not have been open during this construction.
Construction workers at 8am Hotel in disarray
location to city center good choice of breakfast fare
just to much renovation going on at this time
The room itself was nice. The noise from the remodeling did not effect us while we were in our room.
The hotel was being remodeled, extensively... But instead of remodeling just a section at a time, everywhere was a mess! The breakfast room was only accessible through the construction area that was the original lobby. Check-in was in a hallway room and the hotel had to be entered through the side entrance. The elevator was being used by the construction workers to transport loads of drywall mud to our floor that we were on. The only ice machine left was on the ground floor. Everything had a ghetto feel to it. The parking lot was also in bad need of repair. We weren't sure the hotel was open when we first pulled up - it looked like it had been abandoned except for the few cars out front.
Harried staff did not have my reservation when I finally arrived at 11:00 PM although it was prepaid; evidently mine was not the only one. Both office personnel began a search of the facility for a clean room and one was found. Thank goodness, 'cause I was tired.
Facility undergoing a renovation; construction materials everwhere. No lighted sign identifying the motel - I arrived at night. My prepaid reservation was unavailable.
