Ramada Hotel and Conference Center Charlotte    

It was in the center of many restaurants, and only five minutes walk to the light rail. The staff seemed over-worked with only one person on the front desk most of the time, day or night.

The place looks generally run down. I personally cleaned the air conditioner because it was filthy. We were on a very tight budget and we got what we paid for. The pool hadn't been cleaned and wasn't available upon our arrival.

Hotel Lounge was convenient and hotel layout was different and interesting

Charged twice by accident and could only speak with the GM to correct problem so it was an extreme inconvenience due to conflicting work schedules. May want to consider training an additional employee to handle these issues so they can get corrected in a more timely fashion.

Perfect location to get the Lynx tram into Uptown Charlotte. Convenient for the Airport. Great value.

Clean, but décor a little bit "tired"?

Looks like construction is main focus now.

The hotel had a restaurant that did not open until 4:00 so if you need anything between 9:30am and 4:00 pm you have to pay for room service, pay for a cab to get somewhere if the shuttle is not available or you have to walk. It is next to a gentleman a club as well. We were approached two times by someone leaving there as we were walking back from getting food. It was scary for a 24 year old to be followed. I will never stay here again nor will I ever refer someone. The room was disgusting as well. Worst hotel I have been to in years.

Everything. There was a couple of guys outside the back door with a flat screen tv with a lookout trying to get it to the car. There was cigarette burns in the sink and tub in a nonsmokingroom. Several lights were burned out and did not work. The smell in the room reaked of smoke. Ramada Inn really needs to look into their name on this establishment. I have stayed in many motels in my life and this was my worst experience.

Poor condition of room

Horribly filthy in halls- elevators-outside---ghetto looking. The cost farrrrrrrr outweighed the quality- willllll not stay there again- The remodelinging looks like you are putting a bandaide on a hemorrhaging wound- Advice- Tear it down and start over!

the hotel was under construction, that was unacceptable, the offered me three rooms before it was a good fit, the first two were hidious. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The room was really nice

The sink was stopped up no one came to fix....construction was not mentioned....some staff was not helpful or friendly at all

It is an old hotel and need a lot of renovations. All furniture in the room need to be replace. Hotel needs to be brought up todate.

Nice hotel.Good area.

The rooms werent clean as well as expected.Had a smoking room with no ashtrays.No cups or filters for coffee maker.Ice bucket was nasty.I was told that everything we needed would be sent up never happened.Then when i went down to get the stuff someones dog had messed in dining area on floor.aTrash was in the flower beds.Towels were not clean.

Reasonable rate

Long waiting line to check-in with 5 staff there but only one working the desk; toilet was lousy in flow (had to flush 3 or 4 times and it still wasn't fully functional); no waste basket in room or bathroom; layout of hote;l was strange (to get to rooms you have to go a fairly long way through dining room to elevators)

The bathroom and shower

Lose of power so no tv,air,water,shower,wifi four hours,no help from staff.Staff refuesed to help or find a solution to problem. Staff just did not CARE! This ruined a two day working trip four me and my wife!

It was a clean, no frills hotel, good rate, nice for a business trip

The only downside was that when I arrived it took quite sometime for someone to greet me at the front desk.

The room was nice, the remodeling is going well. Free shuttle was very helpful.

The hallway didnt seem to match the rest of the hotel

It was inexpensive. I guess that was due to remodeling which it does need badly.

I couldn't find my room. The elevator was soooooo far away from the desk that I had to ask 3 times for directions to it.

It was convenient to I-77 going through the city and was close to the airport.

It felt like I was staying in a dump! Not at all what I expected at a Ramada, which I've stayed in before. The entry way was not well-marked, the reception area was dark and dingy feeling, the hallways were not well- lighted. The room was clean, but musty smelling. The tv did not work, one of the lights by the bed was burned out, and the other one just did not work. The carpet was stained. The bathroom was clean, but walls were stained and it needed paint and new counter top. There was no way to stopper the sink or the tub. Overall, I was very disappointed with my accommodations, which I thought was rated as a 4-star accommodation.

It may be the worst hotel I have stayed in forever. For this hotel to rated 4 star is joke. Had to walk 250 yards to get to my room. Another 200 yards to get to ice machine. No food. Staff very poor. If this is the kind of hotel your service uses, I assure you I will not use your service again.

Hotel is nasty, described as "newly renovated", but was in the middle of renovations, staff was rude, hotel was like something out of a horror movie with sliden handprints on interior of the only working evelator door, lights that were blinking on and off. Dirty dishes every where in the atrium, and constant trash everywhere. This place should really just close down!!

The price

The facility was under construction and it looked run down and the odors were unpleasant, the hotel was hot however the air in the room was comfortable the decor was out dated I do believe when the hotel is complete this will be very nice place to stay I'm sure the price will increase

Making attempt to upgrade.

When we arrived, even though we had registered for 3 guests, they gave us a room (500 feet walking from the main door) with one bed. My leg is in a brace. Fortunately, a member of the staff noticed our conditions and helped us find another room. The nearest elevator was broken. The staff at the main desk is not well trained. We left a pillow in the room and tried to locate it after leaving, and the person at the desk was not helpful or considerate. Still waiting for his return call.

Price was reasonable. It was on our way. Easy to reach.

Very long corridor. Lift was not easy point and one of them out of order. All surfaces were very dirty and old. We had 14 years old daughter. We indicated this situation when we were making reservation. They hadn't cared. They gave us one bed room. Last minute they changed our room.

-It was only 10 minutes from the location I intended to visit. -The bed was comfortable.

-Unprofessional staff when I checked in, the gentleman was wearing an un-tucked long sleeve polo shirt that had faded on color and had wear around the cuffs and collar. He first directed us to the second floor, then shouted across the lobby to tell us it was actually the first floor. However gave us very poor directions and it took us all of 15 minutes of walking with our luggage to find the room. -Unappealing location, had a strip club, tattoo parlor, and a smoke shop in the same shopping center as the hotel. This put a very unappealing crowed around the hotel. -The parking lot has not been maintained with cracked ans buckled asphalt that has weeds growing all through it; with standing water all over -Rust all along the pool fence. -This hotel is under renovation, this was not stated or advertised before our stay, even when I called to confirm the reservation. -The phone number on your website is not correct, and had to play phone tag with 411 and Ramada's home office to get confirmation of my stay. -The ac/heat unit in the room was so loud that I had to turn it off to sleep, and deal with the heat and humidity.
